Dilemma for Personalised Gifts and Gated Categories

Hello All. I have a bit of a dilemma. I sell personalised gifts. Plaques are one of my main products. However, I went to add more products but see that plaques have been gated for Handmade Amazon. When I previously applied for Handmade, I was rejected because I use a sublimation printing process and this is classed as Custom-made, not handmade. This will have a big impact and I feel that I will need to focus my efforts on Etsy. Does anyone who sells personalised gifts have this problem and if you did, were you successful in applying for Amazon Handmade.

Is there any reason why you want to list in handmade rather than the main catalogue ?

I think theres potentially a bit of confusion here. Have you read somewhere that the plaque category is now gated and can only be listed in by sellers who are registered as “Handmade”? I tried to list in the plaque category a few weeks ago and saw it was gated and clicked through to request approval for it to say they weren’t taking any applications to list in that category at the moment. Has this changed?
