Can no longer list DVDs
Hi up to about a week ago I was listing DVDs fine, every one I scanned allowed me to list, now every DVD I scan I get the following message
"Listing limitations apply This product has other listing limitations. Learn more, Refurbished condition You are not approved to list this product and we are not accepting applications at this time.
This happens to every DVD I scan, I have even tested DVDs I have live for sale all ready on Amazon and it gives me the same message, I have contacted Amazon seller support and they have said they cannot find any reasons why this is happening so I am completely stumped any one else ever had similar?

Yes, there was a similar topic by another DVD seller recently:
But other sellers (including me) are still able to list DVDs without any problems.
It looks like some Amazon sellers are getting restricted out of blue with no option to obtain approval.
What about all your existing DVD listings? Are they active?

tinfoilhat I think Amazon is restricting some products to remove third party sellers from selling the most profitable items. tinfoilhat
I saw some lenses that for whatever reason were restricted to Amazon, but could still sell other models of the same brand in the same category. It’s weird.

I’ve just discovered that my account is restricted in this way. Pursuing it through support now. I’ll follow up if there’s substantially new info to share.

Hate to say it but dont assume they will rectify this for you.
I started having these problems back in the summer, wasted days back and forth trying to sort it out.
There is countless other thread about this subject, they just dont want our business anymore.
It gave me the push I needed to strt making other plans, ill be finished with amazon entirely once the Christmas rush is over, im literally just trying to offload all my remaining stock and prevent having to pay for its return.

For me this was a god send. I used to list DVDs and BluRays but the prices became so low due to competition and it really wasn’t worth the effort. Now I sell mine existing stock elsewhere with less charges meaning a higher profit. Had Amazon not restricted them I would still have 100s of DVDS and BluRays on here. That said, a few days ago I stumbled upon a DVD box set in my inventory that is still a live listing. Very strange!

Anyone thought of Amazon Prime movies??? I believe they are trying to protect the online streaming side of the business by blocking any new hard copy dvds, less choices for customers trying to purchase a movie and direct them to amazon prime online streaming, more profitable then membership then amazon fees.
Greed at its best

August 2019 - I haven’t read all the way through this thread yet, just going to! But I’m so relieved that it’s not just me - I’ve had three identical robot-written emails from Amazon, telling me I can’t sell new DVDs (not sure about the ones I’ve already got for sale!!), refusing to answer any of my polite questions, and informing me that “Due to the nature of our business, we cannot provide details about our decision.”
As soon as I’ve deleted all my current inventory, I’ll read this thread in detail.
