186 boxes - does this have to be sent in pallets?
I have a truck importing 186 individual boxes and delivering to Amazon warehouse. I completed the shipping information from my end and selected “non-Amazon partner” as my courier.
Question 1: is it okay that the boxes are not in pallets? 186 individual boxes (under 15 kg each, single SKUs)
Question 2: does the driver need to do anything additional, like booking an appointment or is what I filled in sufficient?

They have used the CARP system several times before, yes.
They are from Turkey and travelled directly from Turkey before. But, this would have been their first time delivering bulk without pallets.
I guess we know the answer for other sellers now
- Yes, Amazon will accept large quantity of boxes without pallets
- But, trailer must be willing to wait a few days and leave trailer on site.

You have already created the shipment in Seller Central and have told Amazon how you are delivering (pallet or boxes). You can’t just change this. Pallets can go to different warehouses than boxes.

Your carrier needs to know about delivering to Amazon and must make a booking. If that is not referenced in the document, do search help.

Your carrier has to fulfil certain requirements.
ie. it can’t just be Joe Bloggs in a lorry.
They must wear Steel toecap boots and so on.
The shipment must be booked in on the CARP system first, or will simply be turned away.
This is not just important, but essential.

Danger word… Since you’re asking the question, this is presumably your first FBA shipment.
Has your courier also already sorted every piece of paperwork you need to import the items, tax documents etc…?
Amazon won’t act as the ‘Point of Contact’ for any of that type of thing. As far as they’re concerned the items are coming directly from ‘You’, regardless of whether you’ve ever physically laid a hand on them.

If you are sending by pallets then I would advise putting the boxes “on” pallets and not “in” them.

Update:
My carrier arrived from Turkey but shipment was rejected in BHX4. I emailed in to ask the reason for rejection and the reply was:
"Hello,
I believe the reason for rejection is because the trailer was not dropped on site, and the carrier should have collected this another day, it takes too much time to tip a loose loaded trailer and this cannot be done in 2 hours.

I guess this meant my carrier had to hang out for a couple of days and leave his trailer at BHX4 then somehow arrange to collect again another day?

Yes, its not unknown for the lorries to be queued up and waiting for a long time in order to drop their loads.
I presume that they booked in via Carp, for the appointment?
But whatever the actual reason, you need to look at a different way of doing things.
Whatever the carrier was that you used, they are certainly not familiar with deliveries into Amazon. As such, unless they learn how it works, your never going to get a delivery sorted without issues.
