Read onlyI accidentally printed a shipping label with the wrong dimensions. I requested a refund and reprinted the label with the correct dimensions. Now I received an email from Amazon stating:
"USPS has rejected the postage refund you requested for order on 9/18/24 for the following reason: The item is in the mail stream."
This is incorrect. The label was never used. I opened a Case ID 16498655321 and was told to file a Safe T Claim. I tried to do that but it says:
"This order is not eligible for SAFE-T claim. Only Seller Fulfilled Prime orders, MFN Prepaid Return Label orders, Easy Ship orders and VAS orders, are eligible for SAFE-T claims. Please refer to Amazon SAFE-T Claim Policy for more details"
What am I to do? I cannot see the original tracking number (that was not used), only the one that was used to ship the order. Mods? Any help?

and "filing a claim" online with USPS is a literal SLAP in the face JOKE --- they literally deny ALL CLAIMS and always "ask for more information" after all the relevent information was provided. Complete sham scam joke
PLEASE ESCALATE this internally -- right now this is an INJUSTICE because we can all clearly see the label was NOT used

yes, they told me to call USPS which is a slap in the face. USPS has no idea what our internal screens at amazon look like and unless it is "click and ship" there is literally nothing someone answering the phone at USPS can do.
Seller support has no idea how to fix a situation like this and claims the "decision is final" according to USPS

I cannot get a refund from USPS because I did not ship out this item, the buyer cancelled it and I cancelled the label ONE MONTH AGO and I got a response that the label was rejected today.
Hello @TaylorR_Amazon I'm so sorry I just saw you responded to my message. I am not able to get anywhere with the USPS. They cannot do anything on their end regarding a refund because I do not have the original tracking number (because it was not used and disappeared on my orders page). The only tracking number I can see on the order is the one that was used to ship the order.
USPS is a joke to help on anything like this. Amazon telling us to contact them is a literal slap in the face
