Safe t claim denied issue due to tamper proof packaging.

We are currently facing an issue with Amazon’s SAFE-T claim process regarding returns in tamper-proof packaging. Despite providing unboxing videos and images as proof of counterfeit or incorrect items being returned, Amazon denies these claims, citing that the items arrived in tamper-proof packaging.

It’s our understanding that products are returned to us in tamper-proof packaging because they are repacked at Amazon’s facility. If this is the case, Amazon should be able to verify whether the returned items match the original products simply by checking the product images.

We believe Amazon must find a solution to this problem, as customers receive their refunds, yet we, as sellers, bear the financial loss. If the correct items were consistently returned, it would at least alleviate this issue.

We urge the Amazon team to consider that sellers submit these claims with substantial evidence, including images and unboxing videos. Tamper-proof packaging should not be grounds for automatic claim denial. We request Amazon to address this gap in the SAFE-T claim process and ensure fair handling of such cases.

Post on twitter. They will not listen here. Post on X(formerly Twitter) with all the evidence you have. Tag all Amazon-related accounts. No one will see it here but on X or Linkedin world will see what AMAZON is doing with sellers. I am too frustrated with these fake returns per day and SAFE T CLAIM has been under investigation for the last 6-7 days. [Moderator: personal data removed]

Hi @Seller_ucjr0H8cmqokh,

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums.

While I understand your point, as per Amazon's policies, returns delivered via tamper proof packaging are not eligible for SAFE-T claims. You can check the SAFE-T policy Help pages for further information.

Regards,

Noor
