Responsible Person compliance:

Hi i hope someone can help with Product Policy Compliance due December 13th 2024.

we have been asked to add Responsible Person compliance to our products,

I see on the product in Account health it shows the followiing for each product we have submitted the Responsible Person details :

"TICK Approved

The documents you submitted were not approved. You can either add new documents, replace the documents, appeal the rejection or choose one of the other options."

As theres a green tick and the word Approved Im thinking this is approved, however the text underneath the tick shows a differant picture.

Any thoughts? Anyone had the same issue? What info do they require if not approved?

Yes, we've experienced the same thing.

Any mods want to jump in to advise?

Yep, same issue here. As they are still showing in 'open' rather than 'archived' my guess is that they are not approved. But who knows?

Exactly the same issue here, some go round in circles with continually requesting info after you have provided it, others simply say 'Approved' after some time, followed by the same text saying documents were not approved.

Looks like Amazon have again rolled out new tick box excersises without thinking it through so it doesnt work as expected... I wouldnt bank on SS knowing anything either, I did contact them but they sent me round in circles too not quite grasping the issue at all (nothing new there)...

Same issue for us too.

Same issue. Adding manufacturer and responsible person info does not remove warnings.

Today, it gets even better. Now we get the 'provide info' warning and when we open 'submit' it shows the approved tick and 'request complete, no further info required.' So why hasn't it moved to 'archived'? That's a question for Amazon.

Hello! @Seller_gLYFEWr4FHyKF

This is Roberto. Thank you for using the Forums.

This challenge has been experienced by multiple selling partners across the EU markets. We recently hosted several Ask Amazon events where this has been discussed, our teams across the EU markets are working with the compliance teams to clarify this information. In the meantime, I would encourage you to create a new thread in the marketplace where you are observing this issue.

Please visit the threads for the Ask Amazon events related to this topic:

Germany: [BEENDET] Ask Amazon: Erhaltet Antworten zur Verordnung über die allgemeine Produktsicherheit (GPSR): Verantwortliche Person und Warnungen und Sicherheitshinweise beim Ask Amazon Event am 15.-16. Oktober 2024!

Keep in mind that the GPSR does not apply for UK and no actions are needed in your UK account, as outlined in the policy:

"The GPSR will not apply in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). It will, however, apply in Northern Ireland, under the Northern Ireland Protocol. For more information on the Northern Ireland Protocol, go to this European Commission web page."

Regards,

Roberto

What on earth is wrong with you Amazon? You're enforcing some EU compliance nonsense and can't even provide a working web page to do so?

Are you running your entire backend on a potato?
