I see that customers are now using AI to put cases to Amazon's A-Z claims. There has been a big uptick in A-Z claims and the 'customer' is simply using AI to write a novel about how they should be refunded. Usually it includes false information like they are disabled, have mental health issues and have CCTV. At the moment these AI claims are growing and Amazon does not seem to to have a grip on it (though I they have automatically declined a few claims recently). This seems to be a growing problem and on a massive scale. I feel like it is us sellers footing the bill for all this AI theft.
Is anyone else seeing it and any ideas about what can be done??
To be fair those generic sob stories have been rife for years - though i'd agree that AI will have made the ability to write a compelling claim far easier.
Sadly, very little you can do to win an AZ claim. Even having a signature - amazon are still quite likely to side with a buyer if they push.
All you can do is provide the evidence you have. On top of that, price increase to cover for it.
That is, if Amazon's fair price policy allows you to increase your price.
The A to Z system as it currently stands is open to abuse and is being very much abused.
You as a seller cannot win, I can point out that last month using Amazon shipping, they delivered and item, confirmed the customer had it, then allowed the customer to open an A to Z claim and they were refunded from our money.
They even said in the write up it had been confirmed as delivered, so what chance do we have ?
Even now they dont follow their own policies sadly. As we have a negative feedback today, someone complaining that another Amazon shipping item had not given then a six digit code.
Do we have access to the codes ? NOPE. So what do Amazon do ? tell the customer to ask us for the code !
Then when the customer is unhappy we dont have it, we get a negative feedback which Amazon refuse to remove.
Frankly its shocking and needs to be reviewed internally and sorted
Yes we are too,.we are slowly pushing all salesto our website and reducing which items we sell on amazon,
asto be fair online buying and selling is growing on a large scale now, so if they cant find the item on amazon they will come to your website direct which w ehave seen and it is working,
Amazon encourage this to enhance their public profile. Amazon is a playing field for petty theft and scammers.
Even without using AI, you will lose the case anyway
I swear it's ai handling A to Z cases too - just like seller central does. It's like playing Russian Roulette selling on Amazon these days
