Different GTIN for same product

Hi,

I have a question about GTINs for product variants. If the same product (same GTIN) is sold as different variations, how do those variants have different GTINs?

For ex:

A plastic bottle with 100ml capacity has a GTIN. (I am just a retail seller not brand owner)

One variation is a Pack of 1, Another variation is a Pack of 2.

Shouldn’t both have the same GTIN since the product itself is the same? Or does each variant (single pack vs. multi-pack) require a unique GTIN?

Would appreciate any insights.

the pack of 2 is not the same product as the pack of 1

It needs a different GTIN.

Another example is if you open up a multipack of Coke cans. They tend to not have a barcode and state multipack don’t sell separately. The barcode instead is on the outer box.

Hello @Seller_2T9uVgunzsirE

As per peer seller mentioned (Thanks for your assistance :D) if you want to sell same product on different packs (bundle) new GTIN will need to have on that product. Here is a help page with more info related to this:

Product Bundling Policy

Any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support channel.
