Buyer Retro-Charged by Amazon But Order Still Shows Refunded
Hi all, hope someone can shed some light on the best course of action here.
A customer purchased something from us in December last year which, courtesy of Evri, did not materialise until the 18th of this month. In that time the buyer had been refunded by Amazon. When it did eventually turn up he got in touch with us and we processed a payment over the phone for him.
Fast forward to today, he has just phoned to say Amazon have re-charged him for the item, however our order details page still shows that the order has been refunded. Does this mean we have not received the funds?
I’m just trying to get all the details together so we can formulate the best way to reimburse the customer.

so he’s been charged twice ?
Its also against policy to take payment away from amazon
if amazon do forward the payment, it will come through in transactions as ‘other’ however, you will need to refund it as you have already charged the buyer off amazon
equally if you haven’t had the money from amazon, if you pursue this with amazon, you’ll have to admit to taking payment elsewhere - sticky situation
