amazon is asking for VAT registration Number from us. We have provided information to amazon about our UK based establishment. is it happening to every seller or there is something wrong with us.

Hello sellers, after much struggle i have been issued with a VAT number.

Since the last 6 months amazon had directly been remitting the VAT amount owed by me to the authorities on the account of market place facilitator collection.

Now that i have been issued with a VAT number should i register the number in the AMAZON portal or should I let it be and my accountant can automatically claim the VAT.

hello. amazon have asked for my uk tax payer unique taxpayer reference which i provided several weeks ago. amazon have rejected it and asked for my vat number. I do not pay vat and i am not registered for vat. In the UK you have sell over £84000 a year to register for vat and i sell between £5000-£10000.

I am registered to sell in the UK and France. I used to use FBA but no longer have any items on it.

What could be causing this problem
