Having a requirement of Commercial Liability Insurance is (somewhat) understandable, but why does the policy wording have to explicitly state the word "Amazon". Surely as long as the policy includes resale of goods this covers resale regardless of where it is sold?

I'm now having to contact my insurer who provided my existing Commercial Liability Policy prior to this announcement, with the expectation that I will have to cancel, reword and resign the Policy just to clarify something that's pretty obviously covered anyway.

I notice there is currently no portal to submit this document, nor has this document been requested of sellers (yet) but I think it is safe to expect this to change, so am looking to get this sorted before Amazon begin enforcing it.

What is everyone's experience here and how are you moving forward with this new requirement? Currently it just feels like another hoop.

As a reminder, under section 8 of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement, you must obtain and maintain commercial liability insurance within 30 days after your gross proceeds from your transactions exceed the following applicable insurance threshold during any month (or if otherwise requested by Amazon) and add Amazon as additional insured:

Five thousand Euros (€5,000) (if the Amazon Site is the DE Amazon Site, the FR Amazon Site, the IT Amazon Site, the ES Amazon Site, the BE Amazon Site or the NL Amazon Site),

Four thousand British Pounds (£4,000) (if the Amazon Site is the UK Amazon Site),

Fifty thousand Swedish Krona (kr 50,000) (if the Amazon Site is the SE Amazon Site),

Twenty-two thousand five hundred Polish Złoty (PLN 22,500) (if the Amazon Site is the PL Amazon Site).

If you already have a valid commercial liability insurance policy that you bought in the US and you sell in the EU or UK stores, be sure to check with your insurance provider to verify that your policy covers claims made in the EU and the UK.

Hello,

Have been on a call with policybee for our business insurance quote. We are a small business with a low turnover.

What policybee advised was to check with Amazon on the "product liability cover amount" of Amazon requirement of either £100K OR upto £500K. We all know Amazon seller central support is the poorest in its current state and there is no where on Amazon I can find the guidance of the level of product liability cover required.

Any guidance please on product liability cover amount requirements from Amazon?
