Product Description comes out as a solid block of text
Hi I am new to selling on Amazon and just starting to put my listings on the Handmade listings.
I have listed 3 similar items for the time being, and am quite happy with most of my listing, however the product description comes out as a solid block of writing rather than in paragraphs.
I have tried various things including placing gaps in between the lines of texts, also copy and pasting from a word document, both in paragraph style and bullet point style, but once edited and submitted it still appears as a solid block.
Has anybody had this issue and how do I solve it?
Thanks

Product description can only be text and not any formatting or HTML is permitted.
You may be better off using the Key Product Features section and using 1 line per the parts between the ***

Hi I was not referring to the heading with the *** in it. I was referring to the description on the page itself.
I have tried writing the text into the Product Description box with spaces inbetween the lines to create paragraphs but it still came out as a solid block as per the advert shown.
I tried copy and pasting from word documents in paragraph form and bullet point form, this did paste but still in solid block
Thanks

Although it’s nothing to do with the description, you might want to have a read of Amazon’s guidelines on titles.
Personalised 18th Birthday Card, Unique Bling Style, Any Name Added In Gold & Diamond Effect Lettering, Various Background Colours, A Cheap and Ideal Keepsake
‘A cheap and ideal keepsake’ in your title could get your item removed/supressed by Amazon as the ‘cheap’ is a word the bots would pick up. Ideal keepsake would be enough. The length of your title could also be a red flag to the bots and affect your ranking in search results (they recommend 60 characters and yours is over double this).
If you type “Titles handmade” into the search bar you’ll get a very good idea of what Amazon want from titles.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I was a bit hesitant about placing the word Cheap in the title, but as it was submitted and approved I thought it would be ok. I will have a rethink on tha
In regards to the 60 characters, there are lots of personalised cards for sale with a similar number of characters to mine, many appear to have been on Amazon for a while, so it should hopefully be fine. 60 characters does seem a small amount as eBay allow 80
