Can I send the same customer who placed 2 orders with the same address?

A customer placed 2 orders with in 5 minutes with the same address, it will be fulfilled by merchant.
We want them to be packed together and shipped out in the same tracking NO.
So can we do by this way or shipped the orders separately?

Up to you if you want to combine both orders in one shipment, but given two separate orders placed within minutes, it may be worth checking the buyer intended to place two orders and has not made a mistake by ordering twice?

In my experience it’s nearly always a mistake by the Customer and they only want one item?

Try to contact the buyer by the phone to check if the quantities are correct

Shoe on the other foot ! I have had problems before as a buyer (not necessarily just Amazon) where I have ordered 2 or more of the same items, and only received one. Then there’s all the hassle of trying to prove there was only 1 item, when the packing slip inside shows the correct quantity.
Therefore whenever possible I place orders separately to prevent this happening. (only on free delivery items - i’m not going to pay 2/3 sets of del charge!)
So this could be 2 genuine orders or an error either way best to confirm with the buyer.
Also with Buyer Hat on - I prefer all orders sent together (eco friendly), but especially as " if " in the near future compulsory Valid Tracking comes in I would be constantly putting on a " buyer coat" too, as in collecting unsigned for orders!

Phoning a customer is a violation of Amazon privacy and I certainly wouldn’t do that.

I will send them out separately, with tracking if possible. There will be no chance of claiming you sent one item. If you send them together you won’t be able to prove your buyer received two separate items.

This has happened to me and ive usually just emailed the customer asking is it ok to lump 2 orders in one package.Normally its ok.A couple of customers have said they have paid seperate postage for the 2 so send seperately, which ive duly done.Give the customer the option and abide by that and you should be ok

Absolutely!
We do it a lot!

Assuming you’re using the same Courier, anyway the delivery guy will arrive with 2 parcels at the same time.

Even amazon themselves combine items which ordered in the same days.

I always send a message to the customer to confirm the order before posting. More often than not it’s a mistake, and it saves the inconvenience and expense of returns.

You’ve hit the nail on the head, Amazon doesn’t really care that we contact customers but they don’t trust us to not to try and cut them out, that’s what they care about.

They don’t really give a toss about customer service, their trustpilot rating shows that, so they care even less if we third-party sellers try to give good service.
