Help with fda and getting my first order set up from suppliers to amazon warehouse :)
Hello
I am a new seller - I am a little confused of where to start with amazon.
Basically I have a supplier in China who will package and directly send to amazon for them to distribute for me is that the fba?
I am on an individual seller account to start with.
I have one product niche but have several styles
I have got a barcode sticker to send to the China supplier to attach to my products.
But I am wondering how does all that get set up and match up correctly - I am a complete novice Andy help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

Hi first thing I would suggest is research new sellers buying from China on here as your likely to struggle getting products approved, they will go live then suspend to check authentic.
If they are of ALIBABA you have no chance as its not accepted form by amazon if its from the manufacturer direct check they are registered you will find a lot more info on the forms.
If your Barcodes are from GS1 this will likely work as they are the only ones they accept however Amazon may require you use fnsku in some instances but you will not know until you create your shipping plan, been your own brand your probably OK with ean only
When you add your product this will match to your product from info entered.
The other thing is make sure you do not require additional approval for that catagory and make sure your item meets requirement including packing before sending in.

Hi
As PeterT said you need to get a valid invoice directly from your supplier and make sure that your supplier in china is registered so that amazon should accept their invoices.
If it is your own designed product and your own brand you should consider getting it trademarked and register it with amazon brand registry
Regarding your barcode and fba questions you Should check out sellers university as it is great to learn the basics.
Hope that helps.

In addition to the other great advice, you might want to inspect the shipment before it goes to Amazon - quality can vary greatly.

Any shipment from abroad, I would have delivered to myself and then ship on.
As I would want to check quality for myself.
I wouldn’t blindly get items sent from manufacturer to FBA.

In which case I would advise you start selling as FBM (store and ship the goods yourself) to practically understand how Amazon works and ensure products you are selling are of good quality, them move onto FBA.
Suck it and see approach with shipping directly from China into Amazon FBA, could end up a very steep and expensive learning curve.

you have registered as a business, I hope. Either sole trader or Ltd company; as that will definitely will get checked if you suddenly sending in big qty of stock.
Also, there can be a limit of per ASIN being imposed; so check that first or it will either get stuck and you have to pay to remove the excess OR worse the whole shipment get rejected!
If you have not done so, go and read Seller Univerity.
