Amazon is hiding FBM shipping adjustments and No Longer sending out emails.
Every FBM seller needs to check their shipping adjustments. They are no longer sending out emails to notify you and per Amazon this is the only way to find them :
"There is no dedicated report for you to view carrier adjustments."
"If you would like to view your carrier adjustment, please check the Transaction View > Transaction Type: Shipping Services, then look for Adjustments in the Product Details column. Clicking on the adjustment amount will display the details, such as the carrier-audited information." So you need to scroll through all those pages to find them.
Everyone needs to do this. You will see MULTIPLE inacurrate shipping adjustments from USPS for huge amounts of money.
Our Hot Wheels are 5 pounds. Our little cans of Play Doh are 3 pounds. Highlighter pens are 6 pounds.

Yep, just experienced this with a 4-ounce item that ships at 9-ounces. USPS says 2.58lbs. Amazon SS says tough USPS is only wrong when they say they delivery something.

You need to do your own shipping. It's not hard.

All USPS dimensions for adjustments received are wrong, even using the USPS OD sizes.

Its funny , on this site we get hit with ADJUSTMENT CHARGES, and yet on other sites I get CREDIT as my item Weighs LESS than I printed the label for.

You can also see these adjustments on your "Payments Dashboard". They appear at the bottom under the heading Adjustments".
I have carefully checked, and ALL the adjustments that appear in the Transaction view add-up to the exact same amount as displayed on the Payments Dashboard, so you don't need to look at every transaction view page.
While it is indeed maddening to see ANY adjustments, as they come right off the top of the profits, it is a small matter and does not add-up to that much. For us, we experienced a large number of adjustments (13), but it was covering a period of time that we shipped over 360 orders, and even at 13 adjustments, it still only amounted to $4.77 total.
Would rather KEEP the $4.77 myself instead of Amazon taking it? You bet!
Do I believe it is unethical, unfair, and probably even illegal to deduct without evidence? You bet!
Do I think it is serious enough to sound the alarm and cry "Fire"? No, I do not.
We take a bigger financial "Hit" from even ONE "RFS/Replacement Order" transaction, in which the Buyer is almost always being less than honest with Amazon, and the Safe-T Claim reimburses such a small percentage of the sale that it is not worth the time to file the Claim.
I would happily live with the adjustments IF I could only Opt-Out of the RFS and Replacement Order systems. They are a pathway to EASY Theft by Bad Actors.
For those Sellers who experience a HUGE amount of "Adjustments", either in number or amount, your FIRST question should be, WHY am I getting so many and in such a large dollar amount?
Your next action should be to Buy a NEW SCALE and compare the results with your existing scale. Buy it on Amazon, so if there is NO difference you can easily Return the New one.
Next, take your packages in to the Carrier and have them weighed when scanned. IF you keep the receipt you will have verifiable evidence from a Government source of the package weight. Perhaps that may give you some needed muscle when fighting with Amazon over an "Adjustment".
And to those who suggest NOT using Amazon Buy Shipping, remember that ONE lost AZ Claim for INR could EASILY dwarf an entire month of "Adjustments". I consider not availing yourself of the Amazon Seller Protection system to be very bad advice.
Good Luck!

Yes, BUT if you did purchase a NEW scale, especially on Amazon, it is even MORE evidence on your side that the adjustments are not correct.
You may also want to photograph the finished shipping box displaying the box size for added proof.
All you have now are complaints and vague accusations, but no real evidence.
I am sure we would ALL love to see this "Adjustments" matter settled, if ONLY so that a Seller could have an option to challenge with evidence.

What everyone needs to do is write his/her representatives. This is nothing but theft from USPS as usual. Absolutely unacceptable nonsense. Pressure representatives to intervene immediately. This will be investigated if enough sellers contact their representatives.

After hearing all these horror stories of sellers being "adjusted" for horrific horrific amounts up to $2500+, we began adding weight-up to 5-6 oz. per order, particualrly anything under a pound.
We still get adjustments of 30 cents to a dollar-but not more than 3 or 4-times a year-knock on wood. But a seller has no protection since it's not their postage account-it's AMAZON
'We recently dealt w/ a fiasco w/ a buyer whose expensive book order w/ a AMAZON Priority Mail Express label wasn't recognized by an Everett, WA hub after had been counter scanned at our originator PO in Tucson. Customer had to travel 20 miles to pick up the book because Everett wouldn't deliver it further due to it's "lack" of postage. The customer was forced to pay another $31.20 in postage(we'd paid $27.75 to AMAZON). Another reason I'll no longer buy postage from the mother ship.

There is a lot of whining and bad advice on this forum, but every once in a while, you stumble across gold. Thank you for this post, brother.
I checked my adjustments and noticed that on a 7x6x4 box I have been using, USPS has been charging me an extra $1.17 per shipment, because they believe the box is actually 7.1x6.1x4.2. UPS, on the other hand, agrees that the box is 7x6x4. So, I guess I wasn't saving $0.30 by choosing USPS, after all.

Reminder: You can use your own carrier accounts with Amazon Buy Shipping Services and retain the INR protection. You just need to link your accounts in your shipping settings on Seller Central.
