How Long Does Verification Take?
Hello Everybody,
I recently signed up as an Amazon pro seller, within minutes of signing up and submitting all of the correct information my account was deactivated. I received the following message in an email.
How do I proceed with my application or reactivate my account?
To sell on Amazon, we need to verify your identity, business information, or both. You can confirm that you would like to begin the verification process in the following way:
- Confirm you have a valid credit card on file.
- Click the “Appeal” button next to this e-mail on the Notifications page in the Performance section of Seller Central (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/customer-experience/perf-notifications.html).
I have confirmed I have a Credit Card on file and submitted an appeal via the link given in point 2) above.
After not receiving a response I opened a case with Amazon and I received a reply stating I needed to submit the following documents.
How do I reactivate my account?
Please confirm that there is a valid credit card on file, and provide one of the following documents in .pdf, .png, .jpeg, or .gif format. These documents must be authentic and unaltered.
– A business license, if applicable.
– A bill that is dated within the last 90 days for piped or natural gas, electricity, piped water, or internet service with name and address visible.
The name and address on the document must match your name and address in Seller Central. Please certify that you have provided the document(s) in one of the supported languages. Supported languages include: Arabic, simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish.
I submitted a Utility bill dated within the last 3 months in PDF format and also submitted a copy of my credit card statement. I also sent my companies house incorporation document as I set the account up as an ltd company.
It has been a total of 9 days and I have not received any response.
On average how long does Amazon UK take to verify documents once you have sent them on the appeal?
Any help on this topic or any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Naeem

There is no time line of seller verification. In good old days it took few days, now these these it took almost 3 months to get verified my account. the sooner you submit relevant bills, it give you more chance to get verified sooner.

Also be prepared that every few years you will have to be re-verified (although when this occurs they allow you to continue to sell - they just wont give you the money from the sales until it completes)

My account stopped awaiting verification, I waited a few days and then raised a ticket. After speaking to a support person I was given the verification email address. I emailed for an eta or something about the delay but no response.
I then discovered that my passport had expired and noticed that this part of my account was waiting for an update. I updated with my new details and then submitted for verification.
Now one more week has gone by and still not verified. I have emailed the verification team again.
If this is delayed due to Covid or whatever other reason it would be good to receive some explanation from Amazon. It is just not good enough to say wait as if we are just plebs awaiting our masters

Yes they eventually came back but way outside of the timescale. The length of time for any support issues is becoming longer and longer. Would be good if Amazon would just be honest and come back with a explanation

Ok, Guys, I’ve been fully verified as an ltd company, finally.
All I did was follow the guidelines posted on the amazon page link below and within minutes my account was reactivated and I had to email them to reverify my account based on all the documents submitted and within 48 hours I have now been verified.

I submitted all the documents below including a Worldfirst bank account statement
I also added a copy of my driving license and passport so there was no doubt left for the person reviewing my case

I had to use my initiative and read up on everything they required. That’s where I found the page stating all the documents they need from a ltd company. Honestly just submit exactly what is requested along with your passport and driving license and they will have no doubts about verifying your account as you have submitted exactly what they have requested,

I posted it above, but here it is again.
