Edit/Remove Seller Answered Questions

Hi all,

I answered a question incorrectly and want to amend it before buyers start to purchase item expecting compatibility with a product it does not work with.

Is this possible? Any help is much appreicated.

I do not know the answer to your question but if no one replies I do have 2 thoughts. Probably wrong, but may be worth a try if you cannot find an answer.

My first thought would be to contact the email address associated with every Amazon Answer email request. The email seems to always be "seller-answers@amazon.com" (I think I can post that email since it belongs to Amazon. Just make sure to leave out the quotes).

My second thought, which is probably incorrect and may lead to other issues, would be to click the Report link next to your answer. I have never done that before and I am not sure what would happen if you report your own answer.

I would probably wait for another seller or Amazon employee to reply. Then if needed try the email option. Then if that bounces back and no one replies, check with your co-workers and see if they think the Report link is worth a try.

I found this: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/19366388e40dabd141960c920e1d41cb

It claims you can go in and delete it. However, I don't see the questions and answers on the detail page anymore.

Hi @Seller_zHylF0H0JCaMD

I don't know why the questions and answers related to a given product were removed by Amazon. I saw some discussions about this on the internet. Some suggested a work around, but I don't have that link. Why not do an internet search. If you find the answer, please post back if you can!

Thanks, Susan
