New to VAT - documents i need?
Hi,
I am a new to being a VAT registered seller.
What documents do i need to collect from couriers (DHL) to be able to use for my VAT reclaim?
Is it the document that is usually stuck on the boxes? Or do i register an account with DHL and they will send documents digitally?
Basically, where/what document from the courier do i give to my accountant?

You would normally need an invoice or receipt from DHL showing the VAT breakdown and with their VAT registration number on it.
This is how you reclaim VAT and the VAT receipt/invoice is evidence for HMRC that you have been charged the VAT.
It is really a question for DHL about how you get a VAT Invoice. If you are not buying through DHL directly you will need to ask the company you buy the shipping from as they should provide the invoice. If you ask for a VAT invoice a VAT registered company can not refuse to give you one.
