Can anybody recommend a software that can help me calculate my level of profit from my FBA sales?

I sell in multiple market places and need a snapshot of my sales and profit over the last 24-36 months

I am struggling to make sense of the Amazon reports

My business partners and I would highly appreciate someone from Amazon to really help us here and correct this wrongdoing in Restricting our account for false VAT claims:

In the performance notification on 26 May 2024 12:56 CEST, you wrote us:

"You will need to pay the VAT amount to Amazon for the historical unpaid VAT for the sales of goods delivered to customers in the UK on all sales from 1 January 2021, which fall under the UK VAT on eCommerce legislation. We will send you additional information regarding next steps, including payment options."

However, we had ZERO sales to UK customers long before you approved our new entity in the Republic of Cyprus in July 2023. That means NO Sales = NO VAT to the UK. Also, ZERO FBA inventory is stored in the UK for FBA or ours. So, there is no historical VAT due to UK customers, and we have all the documentation to prove this.

We have contacted twice your Amazon Health Account team, and in both calls, they confirmed that our non-UK establishment is still under investigation.

Secondly, asking us for sensitive data and documents of a company that is not operating this Amazon account anymore (the UK-based business) is not right.

We have already provided more than enough from them that you had on file already, and more from our current EU company.

This means accusing us of unpaid UK VAT for selling activity that is not there and EU VAT for an EU company that sells to EU customers. It simply does not make ANY sense, legally, tax-wise, and more.

Can one of the Amazon managers please help review my submission? I have had no response for many working days and the cashflow issue keeps growing, plus the huge impact in our sales.

We have provided all the documentation requested to prove all the above and more.

Lost Buy Box (Featured Offer) MEGATHREAD

I lost 100% of my featured offers/buy boxes overnight. Previously all my listings won buy boxes, but now I'm losing 90% of them, even though I'm the cheapest, have only one seller and FBA, and have good seller account health and performance metrics. I am not established in the UK for VAT purposes and need to pay unpaid VAT owed to amazon.

0n 4/23/2024 amazon have block our account,and tell us our business address which does not match with your country of operations. This may have resulted in inaccuracies in tax calculation on your supplies,we need paid EU VAT and paid UK VAT.

On 05/10/2024 we have receive amazon message [Action required] Final tax liability assessment for unpaid UK VAT AND on 05/15/2024 [Action required] Final tax liability assessment for unpaid EU VAT,We tell amazon we want paypal our unpaid vat ,used our account ,there are any positive funds in your account, at this times we also contact Seller Support Team,and Seller Support Team also tell mdri-exec-escalations@amazon.co.uk on 05/13/2024.

This situation is greatly impacting my ability to conduct business effectively on the Amazon platform. As a seller, timely access to disbursements is crucial for maintaining inventory, fulfilling orders, and meeting customer expectations.

Amazon will Disposal our products on 24/06/2024,we We're in a big hurry.

I kindly request urgent intervention to resolve this issue and would appreciate any guidance or assistance from fellow sellers who may have encountered similar challenges in the past.

Registering for VAT in Europe - Biggest Amazon Regret

Unfortunately the forums are not what they were and help is really difficult as you know the mods read them and do absolutely nothing. If you have a favourite recipe or you want to discuss some fun bits they are all over it.

Avalara and Amazon have had some serious issues and it is us that have had the baby dropped in our laps. It will be us that will ultimately carry the can for their obvious negligence.

I hadn't traded in Spain for around 3 years and was paying Avalara and Amazon to file nil returns. The Spanish tax authority got in touch with me to say if I did not do any transactions by my next return date they will cancel my VAT number.

Fine by me, they cancelled my VAT number and Avalara stopped filing. Amazon and Avalara continued to charge me then on top of that the Spain tax authority whacked me with 2 penalties for failing to file.

I then asked Avalara what to do and they told me not only do I have to pay, I also have to continue to receive the notices and it was my own fault for not appealing the original notice to do transactions in Spain that led to the notice. Avalara have acknowledged that they are still my POA and Amazon are not sending them data to complete as Amazon say my VAT number is not valid. Avalara sent me a link to obtain the transaction data so I could file myself and then Amazon wanted over 100 Euros per filing to do the nil filings retrospectively.

You honestly couldn't make this up. It isn't the only jurisdiction I have issues with. On de-registering for Poland, Amazon are trying to say I have to pay for some retroactive returns whilst Avalara are saying they have been filed which date back to 2016 (yes over 6 years ago) and don't get me started on Italy penalising me from 2017 for a filing that I was not informed of at the time but they state I was informed and should pay it. This is despite all of my data been up to date and no notice of payment required until I was going through the de-registration process.

After all of this I am simply locked in.

On top of everything Amazon are saying I have to move to AVASK to obtain the same deal whilst Singularity are telling me that they have always been my tax agent since Avalara handed them the reigns for Germany a few years ago and I don't need to do anything.

You try and raise cases and they just send you in a spin with VAT services telling you to contact Avalara and Avalara saying it is a matter for Amazon.

Greedy is an interesting comment considering you were profiting over 100% and now it's down to 5-10%, which is likely where the price should possible be for the customer maybe?

This is unfortunately how many Amazon sellers run their business. A race to sell as much as possible. Not a lot you do apart from selling on your own platform.

Agreeing to set a price is quite illegal I believe. I'm sure there's a term for it but I can't think.

Fellow sellers, I'm seeking some advice on a frustrating situation I've encountered with another seller undercutting repeatedly.

I initially found a product with great profit margins over 100% ROI and there is about 10-15 sellers. I matched the current Buy Box price and sales were going well for about a month. Then yesterday, another seller started hugging the Buy Box, going just 1p below the current buy box.

It's evident they are using a repricing tool to constantly undercut the lowest price by 1p in order to solely maintain the Buy Box themselves. While I understand the motivation to capture all the Buy Box sales, it's exasperating when sellers configure repricers so aggressively just to box others out.

This particular seller has over 200 seller feedbacks, so they are an experienced seller who surely understands pricing strategies. As a result of their relentless undercutting, my potential ROI on this product has plummeted from over 100% down to only 5-10%.

I've now sold out of my inventory for this item. My question for everyone reading is would you continue sourcing more of this product knowing you'll likely just enter another Buy Box battle? Or would you cut your losses and move on to other products?

I'm all for healthy price competition, but it feels unethical when sellers setup repricers to continuously undercut by the smallest increments just to own the Buy Box. I wish we could agree as a seller community to share the Buy Box rather than trying to monopolize it. But I realize that's unlikely to happen.

Any thoughts or advice on how to approach this type of situation would be appreciated.

I have made multiple shipments recently, and certain color variations of my products almost always go missing.

Shipment FBA15J26FK6J: 125 units packed, only 50 units received, 75 missing.

Shipment FBA15J2BTC0D: 125 units packed, only 74 units received, 50 missing (I found the 1 lost item).

Shipment FBA15J3G52YW is still active, 125 units packed, only 84 units received, 41 units missing.

Total missing units: 166.

There is a pattern to the missing items; they are all the same color variations - green, purple, and pink. This can't be an accident. They all have the same package quality, same label quality, and they are in the same box as others, but only these colors go missing. What is going on? Amazon support didn't help. They made no explanation about whats going on. As a seller, I am starting to loose my trust to amazon.

Hi

Sorry to ask on here but I am at my wits end. I have been trying to get approval for a brand that I buy from the distributer who owns the brand themselves. Invoices from said distributer have been rejected. Links to companies house for trademark reference ignored, so as the distributor is not the greatest help I purchased 10 units of stock from Amazon to be told it has to be 50, so i got 50, now only to be told it has to be 100, are they making it up as they go along?

What do I need to request from the distributer that would satisfy Amazon?
