Buyer used AI Photo editing to get refund
by Seller_jJWNoJ7fTpx4T
Amazon replied

Recently we had a customer ask for a refund claiming they had an issue with the product they purchased.

We asked for a photo of the items and they sent an AI generated or AI edited photo of the product. Edited in a way to backup their refund request.

I just wanted to make other sellers aware this may become a new popular method for buyers to get refunds.

Additionally, I hope AMZ can put some process in place to counter this

How do you get past the AI "helper"?
by Seller_540qgZMXuuXdD
Amazon replied

I’m trying to open up a new case, but I cannot get past the AI chat bot. No matter how I word my issue, it doesn’t understand and just lists unrelated help articles.

Seller Support AI driving me nuts
by Seller_EsF8pefo9oJwr

Has anybody managed to circumvent seller support AI, thinking that you mean one thing and requesting information that is not relevant to the case and therefore blocking any further support? I don't see any phone numbers anymore or any way to simply request help.

We have the same issue every time K and N are allocated our shipments for fulfilment centres, whereby K and N do not get in contact to arrange a pick up. The initial Amazon email would indicate that a pick up has already been scheduled, and there are no instructions on what one is supposed to do. UPS used to be fantastic, but we no longer get to use them anymore.

When I try to get help on the subject, regardless of the detail I put in, I am asked for an order number relating to Easy Ship multiple shipments. I have no such order number, and this is not related to multiple shipments.

Some more nonsense from AI
by Seller_Fg2fqaWOnEtha

It was ok for a few weeks now we are back with extending delivery time. Can anyone actually explain what's the point of this? It's actually contradictory as they say that buyers receive my orders on average 2.3 days before the expected time and that long delivery dates can affect my sales and then they extend the delivery dates by 0.3% (something that has no effect at all). Seller support have never managed to help with this as they recite the usual likely causes like my carrier is not reliable and I should change it or I live in a remote location. As my metrics are nearly always above 95% I don't see what the problem is. And no I don't live in a remote location, sometimes I wish I did, like on top of the Himalaya with no AI.

Hello Sellers,

We've seen questions recently about Rufus, Amazon's AI-powered conversational shopping assistant, and what to do when it displays inaccurate information about your products. I'd like to share how Rufus works, why errors can occur, and most importantly, how you can report them.

What is Rufus?

Rufus is Amazon's generative AI-powered shopping assistant, designed to help customers make more informed purchasing decisions. Customers can ask Rufus questions about products, compare options, get recommendations, and understand product details — all directly in the Amazon Shopping app and on Amazon.co.uk.

For product-specific questions such as "What are the dimensions?" or "Is this machine washable?", Rufus uses information found on your product's detail page.

Why might Rufus get things wrong?

It's still early days for generative AI, and Rufus won't always get it exactly right. Errors can occur when:

  • Product detail page information is incomplete or inconsistent across sections
  • Listing content hasn't been updated to reflect current product specifications
  • Information conflicts between different parts of your detail page (e.g., bullet points say one thing, but the product description says another)

How to report Rufus errors

Step 1: Verify your listing first

Before submitting a report, check that your product detail page has the most up-to-date information. If the source content is incorrect or incomplete, updating your listing may resolve the issue.

Step 2: Submit a ticket via the Help Centre

When you submit a ticket, make sure you provide:

  • The product ASIN
  • A screenshot of the question asked and the response Rufus gave
  • The nature of the issue — choose from: "Inaccurate or outdated product information", "Answer is incomplete or missing information", "Response is not answering the question", or "The answer can be improved"
  • Additional details along with the expected response

To help verify the issue and make the necessary fix, also include any of the following:

  • A screenshot of the specific section of your listing that has the discrepancy
  • Any product or user manuals with the relevant information
  • Information from the manufacturer's website

After you've submitted the issue, Amazon will investigate and make any needed updates.

What you can do proactively

  • Audit your detail pages: Ensure bullet points, descriptions, and A+ Content are consistent and accurate
  • Check for conflicting information: If different sections state different specifications, Rufus may surface the incorrect one
  • Use all available content fields: The more complete and detailed your listing, the better Rufus can represent your product
