Hello,
I’m seeking guidance regarding an Amazon Vine review that appears to be demonstrably false.
The reviewer claims the tea bags “fall apart while dunking,” yet the review images provided show an unused tea bag - it is clean and dry, with no signs of brewing. The damage shown appears to be from manual tearing, not use, as the material is frayed: the connecting string has also been pulled through the card tag, creating a near clean and perfectly straight tear, inconsistent with normal use. This directly contradicts his written claim.
I fully accept that not all customers will be satisfied. However, this case is different - the reviewer’s own images disprove their statement, yet the review remains at 2★ and has negatively impacted my sales and ranking.
As a start-up independent brand, this carries significant weight.
I have already contacted support, who advised submitting an appeal. However, the appeal form does not provide enough space to properly explain the issue.
My questions are:
How can I escalate or properly report a Vine review that is clearly misleading?
Is there a process to review cases where evidence contradicts the written feedback?
How long does it take for Amazon to review - the negative review has been live for almost a month with no feedback from Amazon review teams.
Additional note: Vine reviewers are expected to provide honest, accurate feedback. At present, there seems to be no clear route to report misuse of the programme when misleading content is evident.
I have supporting images available if required.
Thank you.
