BE WARNED Amazon sellers. My account was deactivated without warning after 15 years of selling on Amazon because they say the verification failed without an explanation of why or which documents. All the documents that I submitted were valid and up to date. I've had it with Amazon, they also owe me hundreds of £ for sales. The simple fact is they do not care about small businesses or loyalty or anything like that. It's changed a lot in 15 years, now its all run by machines for the most part AI and if you don't tick all the boxes you're cancelled, a sad reflection of the way the World is at the moment. They have actually done me a favour and saved me all the extortionate fees that they charged every month for very little reward as well as all the red tape you have to go through every day just to list anything. Genuine seller support is non existent with AI replies that are irrelevant and unhelpful. Life's too short. My advice to other sellers is to make sure you draw out your earnings every day, don't let them keep a penny and also do not rely on Amazon as your main source of income as they can do the same to you and close your shop instantly AT ANY TIME without notice and for no good reason whether you make a million or very little on here and they make it almost impossible to open again. If you have FBA stock expect to lose it as you will probably never get it back if they 'deactivate' your shop.
FBA parcel fee update, starting October 15
To simplify our fees and lower your costs, we’re updating the way we calculate Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) fees for parcel-size products in certain fee categories.
Earlier this year, we began to use unit weight only, instead of the greater of unit weight or dimensional weight, to calculate FBA fulfilment fees for parcels in the “Clothing and Accessories” and “Backpacks and Handbags” categories in some European stores. To ensure fees align with our costs, we replaced two parcel size tiers (small and standard) with seven more granular size tiers.
Starting October 15, 2025, we’ll extend this update to parcel-size products in the following categories, which will reduce fees for the majority of items.
- Baby Pushchairs and Safety Equipment
- Door, Window and Shower Accessories
- Eyewear Protection
- Footwear
- Furniture Accessories
- Grocery and Gourmet
- Home Adhesives and Cable Ties
- Home Linen and Rugs
- Luggage Accessories
- Mattresses
- Packing Material
- Pet Clothing and Food
- Printer and Scanner accessories
- Reusable Work and Safety Gloves
These changes will come into effect on October 15 in our UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain stores. On November 1 changes will apply in our Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Poland and Ireland stores, including for “Clothing and Accessories” and “Backpacks and Handbags” which don’t yet use unit weight only.
These fee updates will apply to local and Pan-European FBA, the European Fulfilment Network, Remote Fulfilment between the UK and the EU, the Ships in Product Packaging programme and the returns processing fee.
Additionally, from November 1, the return processing fee will apply to items in the “Backpacks and Handbags” category with a high return rate, to address the operational costs of returns and reduce waste. The returns processing fee only applies to orders fulfilled in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and products that have return rates above a threshold specific to each category.

Buyer Left Negative Review After 40 Days of Use, Then Demanded Repair – Unfair Practice?
I’d like to share a recent experience that I believe raises important questions about fairness and seller protection.
A customer purchased a bed from us and used it for over 40 days without reporting any issues. After this extended period, they left a negative review stating:
"This bed is not premium as advertised. The frame misaligns easily, causing the mattress section to rub and jam. Panels are thin, unstable, and lack proper support. Floor and side bases sit directly on the ground, making cleaning difficult and reducing durability. The design and quality are poor and misleadingly presented online."
Following this, the same customer contacted us requesting a repair. When I reached out to understand why they posted such a harsh review and then asked for service, they simply replied:
"It’s my right. Amazon gave us this right."
While I respect customer rights and Amazon’s policies, this feels unjustifiable. The product was used extensively, and no complaint was raised during the initial period. The review appears exaggerated and damaging, especially when followed by a service demand.
I’m curious to hear from other sellers:
• Have you faced similar situations where customers use products for weeks and then leave damaging reviews?
• How do you handle repair requests after negative feedback?
• Is there any recourse to challenge reviews that seem retaliatory or inconsistent with actual usage?
The store has been out of use for 15 months. Amazon doesn't respond to any of my appeals.
My store received a notice of alleged trademark infringement on March 15, 2024. Amazon told me in an email that I needed to edit the product and delete the corresponding trademark language before the product could be restored.
I have already updated the product from March 15, 2024, but Amazon has not reinstated my product. And contact Seller Support several times to restore my product as soon as possible. Seller Support told me that I need to wait 48 hours for the product to recover. After three days of waiting and multiple contacts with Seller Support, my account was deactivated by Amazon on March 19, 2024. Obviously, seller support isn't an effective solution to any problems.
The deactivated email tells me that I need to:
To reactivate your account, please send us the following information:
– the root cause of each of the IP policy violations listed above.
— The actions you have taken to address each of the violations of the Intellectual Property Policy listed above.
— The steps you have taken to prevent future violations of each of the intellectual property policies listed above.
I have appealed several times since March 2024. It's been over a year now, and Amazon has never responded to my appeal.

As we look ahead to the busy festive shopping season, we’re preparing for greater utilisation of our Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) network, and increased fulfilment and transportation operating costs across the supply chain.
Similar to major carriers, we’ll introduce a holiday peak fulfilment fee to cover increased seasonal costs.
The holiday peak fulfilment fee will apply to selected FBA orders delivered to buyers in the United Kingdom between October 15, 2025, and January 14, 2026. The fee will apply to small and standard parcels, as well as large and extra-large envelopes, fulfilled via local FBA and Remote fulfilment from the EU to the UK. The average fee will be £0.10 per parcel item and £0.05 per large or extra-large envelope item.
The holiday peak fulfilment fee won’t apply to oversize or Low-Price FBA items.
Our selling partners are incredibly important to us and this is not a decision that we’ve made lightly. The entire industry experiences increased operational costs over the festive season, and this change enables us to maintain delivery speed, expand fulfilment capacity and support customer demand during this busy period.

Amazon granted a return 15 days outside window
The reason the client gave was "better price available" and Amazon allowed them to return the item at day 45 even though their return policy explicity says 30 days.
How hard do you have to contend with Amazon to sell your things? I can't get the buy box in Poland after I met all their conditions.... sold items in Belgium don't stay sold...... Amazon really plays by their own rules. Who else is frustrated like me?

As a furniture seller, our products typically range from 8 to 40 kg, with many items falling within the 15 to 30 kg range. Due to the size and weight of our shipments, Royal Mail is not a suitable option for us.
In the past, we worked with Evri, but unfortunately, the service quality did not meet our expectations. As a result, we transitioned to DPD UK, which has proven to be highly reliable and efficient for our business over the past few years.
At this stage, increasing product prices or adding extra shipping charges is not a preferred solution, as we aim to maintain competitive pricing for our customers. Therefore, maintaining a dependable and cost-effective shipping service is critical for our operations.
