I’d like to share a recent experience that I believe raises important questions about fairness and seller protection.

A customer purchased a bed from us and used it for over 40 days without reporting any issues. After this extended period, they left a negative review stating:

"This bed is not premium as advertised. The frame misaligns easily, causing the mattress section to rub and jam. Panels are thin, unstable, and lack proper support. Floor and side bases sit directly on the ground, making cleaning difficult and reducing durability. The design and quality are poor and misleadingly presented online."

Following this, the same customer contacted us requesting a repair. When I reached out to understand why they posted such a harsh review and then asked for service, they simply replied:

"It’s my right. Amazon gave us this right."

While I respect customer rights and Amazon’s policies, this feels unjustifiable. The product was used extensively, and no complaint was raised during the initial period. The review appears exaggerated and damaging, especially when followed by a service demand.

I’m curious to hear from other sellers:

• Have you faced similar situations where customers use products for weeks and then leave damaging reviews?

• How do you handle repair requests after negative feedback?

• Is there any recourse to challenge reviews that seem retaliatory or inconsistent with actual usage?

Thanks, I will try 'collectable But there IS another copy for sale, and its £140. That is what is so puzzling and annoying. If £140 is allowed, why not £40 ?

@Seller_Gt0uYQhC8FGRUmy last time my account ogt verify few years ago so maybe that why it was close if they reject your mediation they do fast for that it get get rejected within 40 days after 40 day i think you will be okay as then it go to next step

shipment check in delay

Amazon replied

i recently sent in a shipment of 2000 units to Amazon, but so far only 40 units have been scanned in and made available. Im still waiting for Amazon to check receive and check in the remaining 1960 units.

This is the first time its happened, so im not sure what the normal timeline looks like in this situation.Im managed to sell the 40 units and now im completely out of stock. I emailed seller support and told me to wait until the shipment is closed.

any insights or shared experienced would be greatly appreciated.

Been well over 40 calendar days aswell - starting to look at other routes eg legal, financial ombudsman. @Seller_1NuhiUvRIqDl7 @Seller_b91S9zQ2eKxLt sort it out - havent even been emailed or given a case id for the appeal or mediation.

@Seller_UVoquOERER3FJ hi they reply to me after 3 month and some days 40 days is normal they do not send email when you submit mediation once they start to review your mediation that when they send email to you with case ID

You're not going to get anywhere. I have around 40 SKU's with requests for compliance telling me to send them off for testing. I buy wholesale clearance and it's now a minefield.

Sell out and list elsewhere. Amazon doesnt want older toys & games anymore.
