Hello,

We are a UK seller, Valenor Group Limited trading as OnePointUK, trying to create two new listings for genuine Kenstar alkaline batteries:

• AA batteries – pack of 10

• AAA batteries – pack of 10

The factory packaging holds all 10 batteries and has the Kenstar brand printed directly on it. The batteries are not intended to be sold individually and therefore do not have individual barcodes. We purchased two GS1 UK GTINs, one for each complete 10-pack, and applied the corresponding barcode label to the outside of each retail pack.

We have repeatedly followed the listing and brand-approval process but still cannot complete the listings. We have supplied:

• Real, unedited photographs of each pack from multiple angles

• Images showing the Kenstar name printed on the packaging

• Images showing the complete pack contents and the GS1 barcode label

• Supplier invoice and order evidence

• A letter of authorisation from the supplier/manufacturer confirming our right to sell the Kenstar products

• Product specifications and battery compliance documents

Despite this, the applications enter an Error 5665 / brand-approval loop or are rejected with a generic response that does not identify what evidence is missing. Support cases have been opened for both AA and AAA, but we have not received a clear, actionable explanation. We want to comply fully and are not trying to register Kenstar as our own trademark or relabel the batteries under our own brand.

Could experienced sellers or an Amazon moderator please clarify:

1. Do we need approval for the entire Kenstar brand rather than separate Catalogue Authorisation for each listing?

2. Can a GS1 GTIN owned by our company be assigned to a genuine third-party branded pack of 10 when the individual batteries are not sold separately?

3. Is an applied barcode label acceptable when the brand itself is already permanently printed on the factory packaging? The label is only the GTIN, not the brand marking.

4. Are any specific compliance documents required for non-lithium AA/AAA alkaline batteries beyond the documents already supplied?

5. Can a forum moderator review or escalate our existing support cases if we provide the case IDs?

Has anyone else resolved the same combination of Error 5665, GS1 GTINs and third-party branded battery packs? Any exact steps that worked would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

You can now see how top-performing sellers in your store perform on the Customer Service Quality Insights dashboard. We've added this comparison feature to help you identify improvement opportunities and set clear performance goals.

We launched Customer Service Quality Insights in December 2025 to help sellers who self-ship and provide their own customer service to track three key metrics: Buyer Contact Rate, Average Contact Response Time and Buyer Dissatisfaction Rate.

With this new data, you can see exactly how leading sellers in your store perform on these same metrics. This comparison can help you improve your customer service and potentially receive repeat business.

To learn more, go to Customer service quality insights on Feedback Manager.

Had a good few years on amazon but sales have now completely collapsed. Nothing changed and simply dont know why the sudden loss in sales. So we are closing the shop and solely replying on our own website. Has anyone else closed their amazon store and gone solo with their own website? We are sick of the continuous jumping through hoops, customers fraudulently making claims, bad service by royal mail, and the DD+7 payment disbursements. Its simply not worth selling on here. Cost of advertising is through the roof as are the fees. Anyone else gone through similar?

Hi everyone,

I am facing a frustrating issue with my Account Health and need some advice on how to proceed.

One of my long-selling listings was recently deactivated because a customer reported a "product quality" issue. However, this is a product I have been selling successfully for a very long time. The root cause of the negative feedback has always been the same: customers do not read the compatibility chart carefully before purchasing. I have done everything possible to prevent this. I clearly state the compatibility requirements in the main product images, bullet points, and A+ content. Despite this, some buyers still order the wrong variant and then report it as a quality/defective issue.

In the past, I was able to successfully resolve this by submitting a Plan of Action (POA) explaining the specific nature of the product and how customer misunderstanding leads to these false claims.

However, this time is different:

No option to submit a POA: The system is not even giving me an option to upload or submit a POA to explain the situation.

Bad advice from Account Health: I spoke with an Account Health Specialist/Manager, and they actually told me to just "admit the violation" to get the listing reinstated.

I did absolutely nothing wrong, and my product has no quality defects—it is strictly a buyer matching error. Out of desperation to save my listing, I reluctantly followed the manager's advice and admitted the violation, but I feel stuck and uneasy about this approach.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation recently where you weren't allowed to submit a POA? What is the best way to handle this moving forward to protect my account health and recover my listing properly?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all,

Hope you can help? I was deregistered for VAT on the 1st August this year and contacted Amazon straight away to inform them. They are now demanding a VAT number from me and obviously I haven't got one. I filled out all their forms yesterday but again when it came to the tax form it wanted a VAT number so I sent a screenshot of the message from HMRC saying that as of the 1st of August I will be deregistered from VAT but need to pay my VAT up to the 31st July 2026. It was a very basic message and didn't have my Vat number as it was sent direct to my HMRC messages.

Has anyone been through this? I'm literally pulling my hair out as I've been in business for 15 years and Amazon are saying I have 56 days to comply or they will stop my selling rights.

Hope someone can point me to some help. I spoke to an advisor for almost an hour yesterday and they said to fill out the form. AAArgh!

Many thanks

Sandy

How do I find my storefront shop page URL?
by Seller_tRuvBEHDedp4q
Amazon replied

I want to put my amazon storefront URL onto some promotion material -but have hit a brick wall with regards finding out what it is.

I thought it was amazon.co.uk/shops/ABC

(obviously ABC being my user display name) - but this does not work. I get a page that says the web address is not a functioning page on the site.

So I googled the question and was told I could get it from Settings-Account Info-Business Information

But no - there is no store URL I can see under any of the options.

So I tried Settings-Account Info-Store Info

This has a link for 'Your Seller Profile' - and clicking that just shows me all the country sites I am able to sell on (I only sell on the UK site)

Another googled method told me to :

Navigate to one of your active product listings on the Amazon website. Find the "Sold by" section under the buy box. Click on your Seller Name. On the next page, click the link that says "[Your Seller Name] Storefront"

But there is no [Your Seller Name] Storefront link

There is, however, a sequence of tabs one of which is 'Products' so I click that thinking it will take me to a list of my products which is does but the URL is (well I want to include the link but get told off for using offensive language trying to post with a link even though it is an Amazon web address but it is something like amazon/s?me=A1B3RD1FRZK8FD&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P

Which again is hopeless for me to use in promotion material

I just want a simple URL I can put on promotion/advertising material to direct customers to my amazon store but everything I try leads me nowhere. It cannot be this hard for me to give customers a link so they can go straight to my products/store on Amazon surely?

brand ungate for my shop
by Seller_KNsAlNj0BBiuN
Amazon replied

Hi All - I'm having a hard time getting a response to an ungate appeal. Originally the response was set for 17th February but I still haven't had a response on the case.

Anyone else experience this? Any idea how long it'll take for them to get back to me?
