Suspicious Email, is this genuine? KYC
by Seller_IRiqSPmWQ0FjX

I am suspicious of the email below with a return address ending amazon.uk (and not .com or .co.uk) which does not exist as a website.

Also the sender don’t seem to address us buy our business name, or for which Marketplace or give our account code.

Also don’t understand why such a requirements does not appear in our Support Cases section.

Perhaps someone could assist in proving the validity of this requirement before I send a copy of my passport off.

They ask for a driving licence but a UK licence does not include all the info require so why ask for this?

Thanks

PS Also I have no idea what POC stands for.

Subject: [Action Required]: Documents Required for your IBA Account Verification

Dear Seller,

We need additional documentation for your Invoice by Amazon (IBA) account verification. To ensure that all seller information remains accurate and compliant with IBA KYC requirements, we ask you to provide the following document(s) associated with your seller account: POC ID required.

Please forward a copy/scan/photo of the valid document to vat-iba-verification at amazon.uk from your Seller Central registered email address.

(I have had to change the symbol to 'at' as otherwise the forum would not let me post saying I could not post with links outside Amazon)

POC ID required

Please provide us with a valid (non-expired) and official identification document issued by a government authority, such as one of the following:

• A valid passport's information page that has the photo and signature

• A driving license

• A national identity card

• A residence permit

The document must include all of the following information:

• Full name

• Place of birth (POB)

• Date of birth

• Country of citizenship

• Official ID number

• Expiration date

Please submit the following required documents within 7 days to maintain your IBA account status.

Thank you and let me know if you have any question.

Best regards,

Deepak Kumar

Amazon Handmade Seller - I'm really hoping someone can help me as I'm just getting exactly the same copy and paste response from Seller Support whatever I say!!

- Successfully applied for Brand Approval to sell under my brand name (not Brand Registry, as a 1 person - v small turnover - company I don't have a trademark) on 6th Oct (had previously done this last year, but for some reason it had disappeared since then!), have been adding new products since then, a few a day.

- Suddenly yesterday my new listings (and edited listings too) start showing "Inactive - Fix listing issue > Offer was removed > Request selling approval for policy compliance > Reason: Product requires approval to sell"

- Contacted Seller Support (#11608899932) and they said the approval provided for the brand had issues and I needed to click Request Approval, so I did this but it was asking for proof of my purchasing the Branded goods that I'm trying to list. But it's MY Brand, I'm a Handmade seller, the Brand Owner (I've owned the .com and .co.uk domain for 17 years), I make the products and sell the products (dog collars/bow ties/bandanas), I don't buy them in, so I said what am I supposed to submit as I'm the manufacturer??

- Next 2 responses I've had are just copy and paste responses from Seller Support with absolutely no help for my actual situation - "To maintain a safe and trustworthy shopping experience, certain products cannot be listed or sold on Amazon or may be subject to additional requirements because of supply chain authenticity risks. Your account does not currently meet the criteria required to list these products due to account metrics, distribution pathways of the brand, or other factors. If your account becomes eligible to sell this product, you will see "Apply to sell" next to the product in the "Add products" feature in Seller Central."

I've been selling on Amazon Handmade for over 6 years in Pet Supplies / Dog Collars, and nothing has changed, I could list my products with no issue 2 days ago, and then suddenly kaboom "you can't list anymore"!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :'-(

handmade reclassification
by Seller_ZjZ4slOF0jHpk

Nope, not a thing.

Did USA .com do it last year around this time? Seems to be the case having a brief look at the US Handmade forums.

Why on earth they think this time of year is the most suitable...! I've got nearly 3000 listings I'll have to update. Concerned they'll make a hash of the transfer.

I have a banner at the top of the forums with a link to this thread but the link goes to Amazon.com , not .co.uk.

I always try to avoid clicking linkes to seller central . com as they often log me out of my UK account and cause problems logging back in.

Hello Amazon Seller Support,

My Amazon UK seller account is currently deactivated, and I do not intend to appeal or reactivate it.

I would like to permanently close my account and remove all related data according to Amazon’s internal data policies.

There are no active listings, pending orders, or outstanding balances associated with my account.

I kindly request confirmation of the permanent account closure.

Best regards,

Tuna Takmaz

I contacted seller support who looked at my tracking number starting with 1ZG (the tracking number is definitely the problem. The same thing happened a couple of years ago now and seller support kept saying there was no problem, until it was affecting 1000s of sellers and they agreed there was a glitch). Seller support this time said there is no problem with the tracking number and that I should contact UPS direct. I am unable to put the actual email address given to me by seller support into this link but you can translate from this: preferreddgb at ups dot com. May be worth others contacting UPS who may be able to raise it as an issue if Amazon support continue to say there's no problem. Not sure why the cost has gone up - don't recall reading anything about this but may have missed something..

Qojita are just a marketplace with no guarantee of authenticity and I believe that you have no chance of getting approved.

But read this - https: // help.qogita dot com/selling-items-purchased-via-qogita-on-3rd-party-marketplaces (remove spaces etc)

and more importantly-

https: // help. dot qogita.com/can-qogita-help-me-challenge-an-authenticity-claim-from-amazon

if it’s the same as the ASIN on .com the issue is fairly clear.

You are using the brand Alytree in the brand field but then the product is called…

Peloton Bike Mat

That’s the issue. Because you are infringing on the Peloton trademark.

You would need to call it Alytree Bike Mat compatible with Peloton

Hello! @Seller_AJVL4eyKUPo5h

I have confirmed in our internal tools that this is a real notification. As mentioned by @Seller_HmXs9Pk97Wcpt and @Seller_NpMpf7WPoaL9g, this was meant to your .COM account.

Regards,

Roberto
