Chinese ecommerce platform scrapping Amazon content
by Seller_f4MhKkUWu9zhg

Has anyone heard of an e-commerce platform called varnoralane dot com? They are literally scrapping content from a ton of Amazon shops and looks like they are selling stock at dead cheap prices. Sounds like they are scamming their customer and obviously not sending the stock. Just found half my branded catalogue and a load of my competitors on there for half the price with a standard £30 delivery charge.

First my brand is word marked, yet they are using it and secondly what are Amazon doing about websites like this? - How do I report it.

Worth noting this platform is owned by a company in Hong Kong. Which is coincidental because I have also noticed a number of Chinese sellers on Amazon have plagiarised some of my product catalogue- designs I personally made myself and are selling them at a cut price. It is making the Amazon Seller experience awful at the moment.

I have tried all, all of these. My main issue was in US marketplace so I used “.com” at end. I wish you also have your problem solved as soon as possible. What I ask from you is that if you could mention some Amazon associates under my thread, I would be grateful because they don’t reply me anymore.

I would be amazed if Amazon aren't aware of the dodgy dropshippers, they're so obvious, but have crunched the numbers and decided the bottom line is better with them than without.

And and as someone else mentioned they frequently get double commission: bookjacker lists and sells our book on the .com site; fills that order with an order on the .co.uk site.

summarise the events in an email, deadline, whats at risk etc forward to jeff at amazon dot com, it is a useful final escalation point if it is really serious and you are hitting a seller support brick wall. Its not a guarantee but it has worked for others

@Seller_EkGoiphKgUnUI I have actually been running my business since January 2014 and have had a .com website and Etsy shop since launching. I wouldn't ever be putting my business in the position of just relying on Amazon, believe me. This shop was an additional income stream, when they introduced Handmade at Amazon and I had nothing to lose I decided to give it a go. As I have invested time over the years in setting up my shop and listings , I would prefer it if I didn't have to go through the rigmarole of closing my account, so I am trying to make it work despite all the obstacles that keep being thrown my way.

I've noticed many listing suddenly change from a music CD to an article of clothing. Cause of the problem is someone adding the clothing item on .com with a random UPC which matches the CDs EAN. And of course .co.uk is subservient to .com so then Amazon insists I supply clothing sizes and colours for the CD. Curiously, the text description of the hybrid listing is often still that of the CD, possibly because it is extensive and formatted.

Hello @Seller_V5ak2PhIWIYKb,

Are you selling in the US as well? The links provided by Seller Support in case ID 11772037162 were .com links and link to the US policy. Specifically the Adult products help page (that is a US link) that mentions examples of adult products include "Profane language" and products that are 18+ or 21+ or adult only.

Other markeplaces

I have been approved but I don’t like their returns policies so I have not proceeded.

Things like returnless refunds, returns costs etc. Not for me.

Was also approved for diy dot com but the free returns policy does not suit my business so again, have not proceeded. Shame.

handmade reclassification
by Seller_ZjZ4slOF0jHpk

I got the same email yesterday. Had a slight panic but eventually realised (I hope) that it was referring to the .com site.

I have a US Handmade account too, but never ever listed anything on it. I'm hoping it was just because of that. I couldn't see any changes to my UK Handmade listings or their visibility. And yeh, the time of year is extremely frustrating. They say not to edit certain fields whilst this is ongoing and at the same time seem to be making a hash of the move meaning we want to go in and fix them - though I can't see any changes to the 'Product Type' column yet.

I don't have time to go through 3000 listings to see if they are different from what's in that report. Also I can't understand why the report has the ASIN field empty for my Handmade listings, but the listings all have ASINs. Am I meant to go and manually add them to the report and upload it? This seems such a mess.
