DPD delivered boxes not added to inventory!
by Seller_S9m4pYVCo5wAj
Amazon replied

It has being more than 2 months now I created a shipment for FBA and almost 2 months since DPD successfully delivered a whole 10 boxes to amazon warehouse.

Amazon has confirmed they were received, but till date, my inventory has refused to be updated. I have followed up on multiple caselogs and even reached out to an account manager but no resolution even after so many failed promises of it being escalated after I have provided all the requested information!

DPD has even agreed to go back and pick the boxes and return to return to me if Amazon cannot add them to my inventory. But still amazon is not even cooperative with this!

What is going on please? This is causing me very significant business loss as I sent almost all the inventory I have, and Amazon is not even blinking an eye to get this looked into!

There is so much that doesn't work, as others have said. Things that have been raised repeatedly over many years, which still don't work. We don't even bother reporting issues any more, just move products to other channels.

1) Customer services do not/cannot resolve simple listing issues. It's not uncommon to have a thread with 10-20 messages in, where another platform would resolve in a single contact.

2) Products constantly removed from sale for X reason, Y reason, by mistake, suppressed etc etc. Other channels don't do this so you have to spend zero time fixing listing issues, trying to get listings reinstated.

3) Product listings impossible to correct if there are errors in them. Revising a listing on other channels takes less than a minute. On Amazon this can take (and I'm not exaggerating) days or weeks, or usually go unresolved.

4) Wrong images in listings which are impossible to fix

5) Showing customers 'size guides' which are generic and have nothing to do with the actual product

6) EANs assigned to incorrect products and impossible to change, so you can't list a product to begin with.

7) Sizes listed incorrectly (e.g. barcode for a UK size 10 is listed on Amazon as a size 8) - impossible to fix, therefore impossible to sell. We have thousands of products that we can't even list on Amazon one reason or another. 100% of items are listed on other channels.

8) I am amazed that Amazon still rely on spreadsheets and CSV files so heavily to list. This is a block for lots of people who are not tech savvy. It can take ages to troubleshoot a file issue sometimes to list an item.

9) Difficult to assign child items to parent listings and/or change the child items in a listing (e.g. if you get a new colour of the same product)

10) 'Contact Seller Support— Request corrections to product detail pages when standard edits aren't working' - this is hilarious. 95% of issues we report to Seller Support are never resolved (they might mark them as resolved, but what actually happens is that they either just do this or we give up with the issue after 10-20 contacts going round in circles and getting auto-replies). In our experience it's pointless contacting Seller Support. We just give up and sell the items through a different channel, where listing is simple and quick.

11) Mis-matching information. We have products that we add to listings where the product title says Medium and the dropdown says Large for example. Then you get returns from customers saying things like "I've ordered this item 3 times from 3 different sellers and you've all sent the wrong size"

12) Telling us that listings can't be changed without the brand owners permission when the brand is not a retailer and has never sold (and will never sell) on Amazon. The brand have no relationship with Amazon. Listings are just dead at this point.

13) Licensed products. Good luck with this one! You try listing Disney, Marvel, Liverpool FC, Paw Patrol etc on Amazon. I totally understand that you need to protect buyers and brands and have proof of our supply chain. We send endless letters, contracts etc and they are just repeatedly rejected. Barcodes are assigned to the licensed manufacturers, manufacturers provide all letters/agreements. Manufacturers of licensed products that we have had relationships with for 10-20 years. No issue listing on any other platform. Given up trying to list on Amazon. All the fees for these products go to other marketplaces. Absolutely pointless exercise trying to sell on Amazon (unless you want to have a mental breakdown). Generally a retailer has no direct relationship with the brand owner. Here's how licensing works,

BRAND OWNER (LICENSOR) (e.g. Disney) signs a licensing agreement with a MANUFACTURER/SUPPLIER (LICENSEE), who supply licensed products to a RETAILER, who sell products to a CONSUMER/CUSTOMER. The retailer has a relationship with the licensed manufacturer, who make the products. Asking a retailer to get authorisation direct from Disney is just not going to happen (it's like saying you can only film a school play if you get full permission from Steven Spielberg or Christopher Nolan!)

There isn't a 'Disney factory' who make every Disney product!

Amazon need to protect authenticity by contacting Disney and asking them to provide a list of authorised licensed manufacturers. If a retailer can then prove products have been supplied by one of these authorised licensed manufacturers, with invoices/letters etc, problem solved.

Most of these issues have existed for years. Just a few that I can think of off the top of my head!

Hi all,

We are currently experiencing an issue with VTR defects on multiple recent orders, which appears to be caused by a potential Amazon / DHL Parcel UK integration issue.

Orders affected:

204-8664142-8549136 (Tracking: 41903752131440)

202-1174601-1685165 (Tracking: 41903752121987)

204-6608211-6411569 (Tracking: 41903752139823)

All orders have the same characteristics:

Shipped via DHL Parcel UK (DHL eCommerce UK)

Valid tracking numbers provided at dispatch

Confirmed before ship-by date

Successfully delivered with proof of delivery

Tracking pages fully active on DHL website

However, all are being marked as invalid for VTR due to missing carrier scans in Amazon’s system.

Key concern

We have used DHL Parcel UK for years without any VTR issues, and this problem has only started recently, affecting multiple shipments in a short period. This strongly suggests a recent failure or change in tracking data integration rather than a seller performance issue.

Impact

Our VTR has dropped to 92.59% (below the 95% requirement)

These 3 orders are the ONLY defects on the account

Account health is now being negatively impacted in real time

Additional issue

Amazon’s “Investigate VTR” tool fails with a system error when analysing at least one of these orders

A case has been open for 10+ days and is now escalated

Ask

Has anyone else recently experienced VTR issues with DHL Parcel UK / DHL eCommerce UK?

And if possible, could a moderator please review or escalate this, as:

All shipments are valid and delivered

The issue appears to be outside seller control

It is now actively impacting account health

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

As requested by @Seller_8hQgfj6OVZYse I'm starting a new thread to address this issue (again)

Case Number 13033454292

Seller Support's reply to the question

I am unable to list ISBN 0356521834 because the system requires me to load an invoice for 10 new books, but I only have 1 used book. I tried using the Add a Product tool but was unable to proceed due to this requirement.

ASIN: 0356521834

SKU: BCA100019999

can they help?

... is that I must provide said invoice or I cannot list this book for sale.

This ignores the fact that my copy is USED and I only have 1, but it is legally owned by me and I am a seller in good standing.

This also ignores the fact that other Sellers are offering this book for sale who do not have 10+ copies, nor are their copies NEW

Can anyone at Amazon help resolve this situation?

Brian

Hello Yujiro_Amazon,

Jamal has written:

"I have checked the backend, to proceed with listing this ISBN 0356521834 , you would need to provide an invoice demonstrating the purchase of at least 10 copies of the product.

...

While the Condition Guidelines (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200339950?mons_sel_mkid=amzn1.mp.o.A1F83G8C2ARO7P&mons_sel_mcid=amzn1.merchant.o.A1I0LD54BXR5T6&mons_sel_persist=true&mons_sel_dc=AAAAmNTDRxY%3D ) outline the requirements for listing products in various conditions, Amazon requires sellers to provide an invoice showing the purchase of at least 10 copies of a product to begin selling that item.

...

This requirement applies even when you intend to list under "Used" condition, and we are unable to accept documentation for only 1 book.

...

Regarding other sellers who are currently offering this product, please note that listing requirements can vary on a case-by-case basis. Some sellers may have listed the item previously under different requirements, or they may have different approval status due to brand restrictions or category-specific approvals. Each seller's account and listing permissions are evaluated individually.

If you are unable to meet this requirement, unfortunately you will not be able to complete the listing process for this particular item at this time.

...

I understand how important this to you, however, we are unable to override this Amazon requirement."

So, the requirements for listing NEW books also applies to USED books - even though the listing tool offers both as apparently differing states

Presumably it is 'hard coded' in and it would take time and effort to correcxt this 'oversight'

Do you have any other suggestions that might help?

I am not the only seller who has this particular problem, as it affects many ISBN/ASINs in the used book area

Thank you for your thoughts

Brian

Following up on this, I did get a fairly detailed reply from Seller Support (amazingly). It gave plenty of detail, but it's such a complex subject that any information was always going to fall short. It amounts to saying it doesn't effect Pan EU enrollment if you're non compliant, but the products in the non compliant country will not be visible for sale.

We went through our country by country sales. Of the 24 EU countries to which we had sales, 10 of them make up 98.5% of our sales volume. With our current registrations, that leaves Italy (possible small business exemption), Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands and Sweden as the ones we still need to deal with.

Hello @Seller_19xPhE8YgkmxW,

Thank you for opening this thread. I can see this is frustrating, especially when the system is asking for documentation that doesn't match your situation (1 used copy vs. 10 new copies invoice).

A couple of things worth trying: first, navigate to the product detail page for ISBN 0356521834 on Amazon and use the "Sell on Amazon" option directly rather than going through Add a Product. This can sometimes route differently. Second, if that doesn't work, reopen case 13033454292 and reference the Condition Guidelines (https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G200339950), specifically explaining that you are listing under "Used" condition and the invoice requirement for 10 new copies does not align with the condition you are selling under.

Best regards,

Yujiro

It happened to me as well. I'm a verified Grohe seller. I'm an authorised dealer, and one customer said it's a fake item just to get it for free, and they blocked my listings. That's ridiculous. I've been selling these items for 10 years, and some crook ruined my reputation and business. Obviously Amazon doesn't care. Regardless of what evidence you provide, they DON'T CARE!!!!

Hello @Seller_0ISmHuSUvjJqK, thank you for sharing. I understand how frustrating it is to have your account deactivated without a clear customer complaint. If you have already submitted your appeal with supporting documentation and have not received a response within 10 business days, I would recommend opening a new case through your Account Health Dashboard referencing your original submission. If you need guidance on structuring your Plan of Action, Kris's post above covers the key elements.

Best regards,

Yujiro

PLEASE STOP USING EVRI
by Seller_EOcs2fzk39KBY

Never posted before, and that's strange after working with Amazon for many companies, over many years. But, this is bugging me.....

Customers may wish to return a product, no problem. We use the Amazon free returns process, (that obviously we pay for). Great, Amazon issues a Royal Mail post paid label, and as long as the consumer pops the item in the post quite quickly, it is a smooth operation. We receive the item back to our correct location, checked and the customer refunded without any drama.

Increasingly now however, Amazon issue an EVRI label, and we cringe. Firstly, for some unknown reason, customers get a refund, we're advised it's refunded on first scan, but we haven't got it. We have given no agreement for this to occur, and should not happen. Then we wait. On average we are receiving items up to 8-10 days after the service says we should receive it, while that is unacceptable, the part that angers us, is that our parcels don't always get to our rather large trading unit, (one with a huge orange sign). To date 65% have been dropped at random locations around our unit, (house porches, someone's garage and even a pub postal storage locker). Surely Amazon can't advise this is acceptable. Thankfully, the local people have hearts of gold and help us.

Solution - stop using EVRI, and definitely don't refund a customer until we've actually got it.

p.s. Amazon's instructions on refunds for FBM, don't refund until we've got it.
