Hello fellow sellers and Amazon team,

I'm reaching out here as a last resort and truly hoping someone from the community or Amazon staff can guide or escalate this issue for me.

Background:

One of my products was wrongly marked as stranded due to a Patent Infringement claim in April 2025. We believe this is an error, and we submitted all the required documentation to Amazon. The evaluation is still in progress even after more than 80 days. Meanwhile, Amazon's policy states that stranded inventory is disposed of after 90 days.

To avoid losing our goods, we opted to remove and return the items to our 3PL warehouse using the standard removal process. The return order was successfully created, and six shipments were generated with nine tracking numbers.

However, only one of the shipments (containing 2 units) has been delivered. The remaining shipments (covering 255 units) are missing. When I checked the tracking links provided by Amazon, hey display the following message:

"Currently, we are not able to provide the trackin details. We can’t locate shipments if we haven’t received information from the shipper yet, or if the parcel information is older than 120 days."

Issues Faced:

  1. I contacted Seller Support, but they informed me they cannot assist further because the ASIN is still in stranded status.
  2. This seems highly unfair since the only reason we removed the units was because they were stranded. If the product had been active, we wouldn't have had to take this step.
  3. I suspect wrong tracking details were assigned to the shipments - why else would all but one tracking number be untraceable?
  4. I’ve confirmed with our 3PL warehouse, and none of the other units have been received, except the 2 in the one delivered shipment.

What I need:

  • Proper and valid tracking information for all removal shipments.
  • Clarification on how Amazon ensures accuracy in shipment tracking for removals, especially in stranded cases.
  • Escalation or guidance on how to retrieve or locate my missing inventory.
  • Assurance this doesn't happen again for other sellers in a similar situation.

Final Thought:

This is a serious issue not only from a financial standpoint but also in terms of trust and reliability in Amazon’s fulfillment and removal system. I truly hope someone here can point me in the right direction or help escalate this to someone who can investigate properly.

Thank you in advance for reading and supporting. 🙏

Flexible Customer Financing
by Seller_Zovt1x5tinPh5
Amazon replied

Hi all - maybe someone can help me understand something I don't see any detail on anywhere:

The Flexible Customer Finance programme (FCF) is a programme that lets your customers "spread the cost of their purchases on goods between £80 and £3000." So I have enabled the feature and it works on some of my ASINS.

But when I look at competitor ASINS I see this feature enabled at much lower price points. (screenshot below)

Clearly this creates a two tier system where sellers in the same category are able to offer enhancements that other cannot? Am I missing something? Has anyone come across this before?

I source direct from a few manufacturers and they advise you can't buy it cheaper, I spent a hour updating reimbursement amounts only for them all to be rejected example £31 item direct from manufacturer not including VAT was rejected(Amazon would reimburse £11.90) -its clearly not fit for purpose and us as sellers lose even more of the miserly earnings.

I've had a £80 switcheroo and was awarded £5 reimbursement! So I don't know who stole more Amazon or the buyer switching out the product!

For those sellers who have not been shocked or seen this page, its below

Safe-T Farce does not protect from blatant theft.

Amazon replied

Usual Amazon incompetence.

We sold a Porsche key fob to someone with an incomplete seller name, its just a single word, no Christian name or surname. Like an 80's pop star......

The key fobs are supplied in a plastic bag with an adhesive sealing strip (important for later) and then in a presentation box.

Customer had it delivered and immediately messaged us stating "The empty box sent to me , so disrespect the customer" and started a return. Here we go! The return reason: Missing parts or accessories.

Bit of background. This colour fob was discontinued in 2021. We found some old stock by chance when we were moving premises. Happy days. It's impossible to find. There are 2 companies in the USA who claim to have stock and one in Poland. One of the companies in the USA always shows stock until you order one, I know this from experience, then they notice it's not on a shelf and remove it from their site. These things happen. Long and short is no one has these for sale in the UK, they're like hens teeth to find in Europe, and if you want one we have them. It's a rare piece of kit!

Now, a customer ordered one in December and returned it because it was allegedly damaged, there was a scratch on the front. I asked for a picture, no picture, we then had to pay for the return. When it arrived there was no plastic bag, just a fob in a box with a dirty big "scratch" on the crest. But, when I ran my thumb over the "scratch" it was an outie, not an innie. A scratch is always an innie. I scraped the "scratch" with my thumbnail and it came off, it was a bit of adhesive plastic stuck to the crest. Clearly a piece of the missing plastic bag! So we have one fob minus a bag which will now be the very last one sold, obviously.

When I personally picked the fob for this order I checked the box to see if it was the one missing the bag, it wasn't, so it was wrapped and sent. Therefore, I absolutely checked this item before posting. Imagine my surprise when this customer received an "empty box". But, rather than requesting a replacement of an extremely difficult to find key fob they cannot get anywhere else, they wanted a return and refund. Obviously I asked for a photo of said box with zero expectation of getting one, and I wasn't disappointed.

The parcel arrived back with zero signs of damage to the postage box, naturally, and inside was a Porsche presentation box with no Porsche key fob. Of course, that was expected. Since this was the predictable sequence of events I'd already contacted seller support asking what protection I might expect and they informed me of the Safe-T option. I have to admit to being skeptical of any protection or support, and once again I've not been disappointed.

After 4 attempts to get this resolved the return reason stands at "Reason: Not received in original condition". As a result the claim keeps being denied because.....

"We have denied your reimbursement request for the order xxxxxxx.

Why is this happening?

The issue that you reported is not eligible for reimbursement per our reimbursement policy."

Interesting response, especially since the Safe-T policy claims we're protected if:

1. Issue with a returned product: A Buyer returns a damaged, incomplete or different product.

We've been selling on Amazon for 10 years. We've sold over 10k items. To date the number of "The empty box sent to me , so disrespect the customer" claims stands at...... 1.

What is the point of this Safe-T policy? Just another waste of my time and effort. Just another frustration at Amazon's unique ability to insult sellers. I've yet to try and deal with Amazon where I didn't just give up because it's impossible to get anything resolved. This company is the most disgusting, ignorant, and frustrating organisation I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. eBay would have resolved this by now. Anyone looking at the facts and not reading a script that says "you must screw the seller over" would have sorted this out by now. Yet, thieves have found another way to rip off sellers under Amazon's nose and with Amazon's full protection.

I despair. This cesspit isn't worth the effort some days.

There are no answers

We are down 80% ish - used to do well over 20k per month down to 4k - Amazon is in and out - not always working properly - does not make any difference when you up the advertising - we are blaming the current economy and the state of the UK

Good Luck

Removal costs report
by Seller_X5FnVoA1BFz1D

Can someone tell me how do I find report for cost breakdown for each item removed and shipped back to me?

Long story short some of my inventory aged and been removed automatically, and I have noticed that some small items under 100g measuring no more than 10cm 10cm 4cm for some reason are now classed as oversized and fulfilment fees with weight 80kg+ and I'm wondering amazon sneaky changed items weight and charging me 80 quid each to return an item in the envelope!?

I've only noticed two listings and they both same size and both 70 quid + to fulfil each has 1 unit available, but because I think its scheduled for automatic removal listing shows as out of stock so I cannot request dimensional and weight remeasurement. So they going to ship them and charge me 100s of pounds.... and how many they done already?!

So I need a report where I can see all items shipped to me and how much they have charged for the "service" can someone please help? Many many thanks

Hi @Seller_z3k8APxGfbQEK@Seller_XUNeUuvrQDpgP,

I could really do with some assistance with an ongoing matter and I don't know where else to reach out at this point.

It is regarding case ID 10986977012 and 10932286372 which have been on-going for 3 months now.

Basically I have 80 ASIN's which I sent stock to sell via FBA, but they have not had a delivery date for customers and all my orders are just sat "pending". I am getting customers contact me asking to cancel and asking where their orders are but I have no information for them as seller support have not provided me with any meaningful update.

I have mentioned multiple times that I should not be paying storage fees for these products as this is Amazon's fault that I cannot properly sell these products, I've turned all advertising off them because it is pointless advertising products which customers aren't provided a delivery date for.

So far I have been charged just over £900 in storage fees which I believe I shouldn't be paying for until this stock is fully available to customers.

These products are very seasonal as well and the window is rapidly closing to sell through this stock before the end of summer.

Please could you have a look and maybe get me an update on this case? All I am being told is they are "working with the internal team", but this has been going on for literal months now and nothing has been resolved.

There are an awful lot of scammers using Amazon as free delivery service. Amazon refuses to do anything about them. But would it really kill them to add a 'block customer' tab ? Like the 'customer' whose only communication with me was ten weeks after i posted him an £80 book was 'I DIDNT GET IT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK' (amazon gave it to him ) Or the people who left a negative review and asked for a non delivery refund after signing for their items ? Why SHOULD we have to send stuff again to such people ?

hanks for sharing — and I’m really sorry to hear that. An 80% drop is massive, and I can completely relate. It’s frustrating when you put more into advertising or listing optimisation and still see no improvement.

You're right — the UK economy is definitely playing a big part. Many customers are holding back, and Amazon’s platform itself feels unpredictable at times, which only adds to the challenge.

Wishing you the best of luck as well. Let’s hope things turn around for all of us soon.

Best regards,

Hey,

I had a look at your listing and I can see that the competition is really giving you a tough time.

I had a few of your ASINs open, and this is just my observation — maybe you're aware of it, maybe not. But as an example, take your ASIN A (25 A4 Envelopes – 600 sales in the last 30 days, price £6.99) compared to ASIN B Amazon Choice (25 A4 Envelopes – 2,000 sales in the last 30 days, price £3.15).

As you can see, they’re offering the same product at half the price — and for Amazon, that’s the number one factor when it comes to pushing listings forward. I don’t know what your margins or options are, but price plays a huge role.

Also, notice that your competitor has a main image that looks like the product packaging, but with text overlaid. It clearly shows what the product is and how many are included. You might already know this, but Amazon's RUFUS AI now reads image content — not just titles and bullet points — and uses that to serve products to customers.

Image overlay SEO isn’t exactly brand new, but around 80% of sellers on Amazon US are already doing it. I’m not sure how established it is in the UK, but I believe it’s already having a big impact on visibility and search rankings.

From my point of view, you’ve done a good job with your listing overall. But try to reflect on what I mentioned — maybe some of it could be affecting your performance.

Also, I noticed it looks like you don’t have a registered brand. That means anyone can potentially hijack your listing, lower the price, and start selling under your ASIN. That happened to me before I registered my brand — some Chinese sellers hijacked my listing and started selling a different product under it. It took a long time to get the listing back, and by then, it was already damaged because customers were unhappy with the wrong product.

After that, I registered my brand. In the UK, it costs a minimum of £170 for one class of goods and covers you for 10 years.

I hope some of this helps you. I’m just a fellow seller, and I struggle with the same kind of issues — so don’t take anything I’ve said as advice from a certified expert. I’m just a guy passing by. Wishing you the best of luck!
