This year, Prime Big Deal Days returns at the same time as last year to kick off the season, followed by Black Friday Week. To help you plan for your busiest season, key details on deals, fees and inventory are provided below, along with additional resources and best practices available in the Q4 peak readiness playbook.

Deal Submissions

The deal submission window is open from now until:

  • September 23 for Prime Big Deal Days
  • November 18 for Black Friday Week

We’re also bringing back the early submission discount. Submit your Prime Big Deal Days deals by August 5 and Black Friday Week deals by September 5 to save 30% on the upfront promotion fee.

Promotions Fees and Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for promotions are the same as Prime Day, with one update: Prime Exclusive Discounts now require a minimum product rating of 3.5. Fees for Best Deals, Lightning Deals and Prime Exclusive Discounts will be the same as Prime Day.

United Kingdom:

  • Upfront fee: £12 per promotion, plus
  • Variable fee: 0.75% of promotional sales (capped at £600)

Germany:

  • Upfront fee: €16 per promotion, plus
  • Variable fee: 0.75% of promotional sales (capped at €1,000)

France, Italy and Spain:

  • Upfront fee: €10 per promotion, plus
  • Variable fee: 0.5% of promotional sales (capped at €300)

For more information, go to Deals for events and Price Discounts and events.

Festive Peak Fulfilment Fees

The festive peak fulfilment fee will apply again for selected Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) orders in the UK and Germany from October 15, 2026, to January 14, 2027.

The festive peak fee applies to the following:

  • UK: Small and standard parcels, large and extra-large envelopes fulfilled via local FBA and Remote Fulfilment from the EU to the UK. The fee will be an average of £0.12 per parcel item and £0.07 per large and extra-large envelope item.
  • Germany: Small and standard parcels fulfilled via local and Pan-EU FBA, the European Fulfilment Network and Remote Fulfilment from the UK to the EU, at an average of €0.27 per unit.

The festive peak fulfilment fee won’t apply to oversize, low-price FBA or items delivered to buyers in other EU countries. The 1.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge will apply on top of festive peak fulfilment fees.

To help you prepare, you can preview the festive peak fulfilment fee now with real-time cost comparisons across fulfilment types in the Revenue Calculator and the FBA Fee Preview report.

To review the detailed fee rates, go to 2026 festive peak fulfilment fee.

Inbound Inventory Dates

To ensure Prime-badge eligibility for your products during this year’s events, make sure that your inventory arrives at our European facilities by the following dates:

  • September 9, 2026 (September 16 for UK): Prime Big Deal Days
  • October 21, 2026 (October 28 for UK): Black Friday Week

Capacity Planning

As we enter the year-end shopping season, our fulfilment centre teams will focus on receiving shipments in September and October, then shift to processing customer orders in November and December. This temporary shift ensures faster delivery speeds for customers and maximises your sales potential. During this time, inbound delivery window slots will be limited.

If you’re expecting higher year-end volume, you can also use Capacity Manager to bid for extra space in our fulfilment centres.

It's one of the most frustrating situations in selling: a buyer opens an A-to-Z Guarantee claim, receives a full refund, and keeps your product. You're left out of pocket with no item returned. Sound familiar?

You're not alone — and there are steps you can take. Let's break down what's actually happening, what your rights are, and how to protect your account going forward.

🔍 Why does this happen?

The A-to-Z Guarantee exists to protect buyers when a transaction doesn't go as expected. When Amazon investigates a claim, the decision depends on evidence like:

  • Proof of delivery (tracking with signature confirmation)
  • Buyer-seller messaging history
  • Whether the seller responded within the required timeframe

If Amazon cannot confirm delivery to the buyer's satisfaction — even with basic tracking — the claim may be granted without requiring the buyer to return the item.

⚠️ The impact on your account

An A-to-Z claim that isn't denied counts towards your Order Defect Rate (ODR). Amazon requires sellers to maintain an ODR below 1% over a rolling 60-day period. Too many defects can trigger:

• Account health warnings

• Listing restrictions

• In severe cases, account deactivation

You can monitor this via your Account Health Dashboard in Seller Central.

✅ What you can do RIGHT NOW

1. Respond promptly — always: You have 48 hours to respond to Amazon's request for additional information. If you miss this window, the claim is automatically granted in the buyer's favour, your account is debited, and your ODR takes a hit.

2. Provide compelling evidence: If you used Buy Shipping and shipped on time, Amazon will cover delivery-related A-to-Z claims and they won't count against your ODR, no additional proof of delivery is required for this protection. If you did NOT use Buy Shipping, a carrier delivery scan alone may not be enough to win a claim. Strengthen your case with:

• Signature confirmation

• Photographic proof of delivery

• Proof of item weight matching the dispatched parcel

• Any buyer-seller messages acknowledging receipt

3. Appeal the decision: If a claim is granted and you believe it was unfair, you can appeal. Present new, relevant evidence not previously considered. Be factual, concise, and professional.

4. Request a return before refunding: If you choose to refund proactively, remember: you may request the buyer return the item before you process that refund. This is within your rights as a seller.

5. Report suspected buyer abuse: Amazon's systems evaluate buyer behaviour patterns. If you believe a buyer is abusing the A-to-Z process, report it through Seller Central by going to Performance > Account Health > Report Abuse and selecting the appropriate reason. Amazon does investigate repeat abusers.

🛡️ Prevent future claims — best practices

• Always use tracked delivery with signature confirmation for high-value items

• Communicate proactively with buyers about dispatch and delivery timelines

• Keep your messaging within Amazon's platform — off-platform comms aren't considered in disputes

• Set realistic delivery expectations in your listings

• Monitor your Account Health Dashboard weekly

🔥 Unpopular opinion time

Here's a debate that divides sellers every time it comes up:

"Signature confirmation on every order is overkill — the cost eats into margins and most buyers are legitimate."

Others say:

"After losing £200+ to a claim I couldn't win, I'll never send anything without it again. Non-negotiable."

Where do you stand? And at what order value does signature confirmation become essential for you — £20? £50? £100+?

I am urgently requesting assistance regarding a recurring system-level technical issue with the "uk-18-knife" age verification attribute for our kitchen knife listings.

The Problem

Since July 10, we have received 74 duplicate performance notifications across 7 different ASINs, all alleging that our products lack the "uk-18-knife" attribute. Our products have been deactivated as a result.

We are fully aware of Amazon UK's requirements for selling kitchen knives:

*All products must be sold via FBA ✅

*The "uk-18-knife" flag must be uploaded via spreadsheet or product detail page ✅

We have complied with both requirements from day one.

What We Have Done (All Failed)

*Uploaded the product spreadsheet with full-update multiple times

*Edited each listing in "Manage All Inventory" and confirmed the age restriction setting

*Opened multiple support cases

*Submitted appeals via Account Health

*Each time we upload the spreadsheet, we receive additional performance notifications. The more we try to fix it, the more notifications we receive. We are stuck in a loop.

The Evidence That This Is a System Error:

For our older ASIN, the "uk-18-knife" flag is still visibly present on the front-end product detail page – yet the system continues to send notifications claiming it is missing.

For 3 of the new ASINs that have inventory in FBA, the flag is also present on the front end. For the other 3 new ASINs (currently in transit to FBA), we cannot observe the front end, but we have confirmed the attribute is correctly set in the backend.

This is NOT the first time. We experienced the identical issue in April–May 2026. After an extended process with Seller Support, the issue was eventually resolved manually..

Other sellers on this forum are reporting th exact same problem – the system fails to detect the "uk-18-knife" flag even when it has been correctly uploaded.

The Irony

Seller Support keeps instructing us to "upload the spreadsheet to update the uk-18-knife tag" – which we have already done multiple times. This is a circular response that does not address the underlying system failure.

Our Request:

*Review our case history and confirm this is a recurring system-level issue

*Escalate this matter to the technical team or internal review team – not to Seller Support (who keep giving us the same circular instructions)

*Help stop the repetitive automated notifications for these 7 ASINs

*Assist in manually restoring our products to active status

We are fully compliant sellers who have been selling kitchen knives on Amazon UK for a long time. This recurring system error is causing severe disruption to our business.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Refunds, when will this stop
by Seller_22OoXWKuckv6R
Amazon replied

Sellers, please have a read of communication with seller support

We understand you are seeking the refund reason for order 204-2399583-2317157. After reviewing your case, we found that no refund reason was provided by the customer for this order. Additionally, the ASIN (B0F3JGKVVW) is marked as non-returnable.

Since the refund was issued on 17th May 2026, we need to allow 45 days from the refund date before we can process a reimbursement claim for returnless refunds. You can file a claim for "returnless refunds" no sooner than 45 days and no later than 18 months after the customer refund or replacement.

After waiting 45 days;

We understand you are seeking reimbursement for the returnless refund issued on Order ID 204-2399583-2317157 (ASIN B0F3JGKVVW), and that the 45-day waiting period has now elapsed.

After thoroughly investigating your case, we found that ASIN B0F3JGKVVW is classified as non-returnable. Under our FBA lost and damaged inventory reimbursement policy, non-returnable items are not eligible for reimbursement when they are refused or returned by customers. Additionally, this item falls under the food/perishable category (sugar confectionery), and certain food and beverage products are generally not eligible for return or reimbursement under Amazon policy.

As a result, we are unable to process a reimbursement for Order ID 204-2399583-2317157.

This is not an isolated case but shows just how easy a 'customer'... 'scammer' can receive a stock unit, ask for a refund with no valid reason and keep the item. Several times over a month this happens. Just how can this be allowed to happen. I know many other sellers have had similar cases, where this happens just to many times, fact is it should not happen at all !!!

Talking to SS just leads to infuriation and walking around in circles. What's the next step take customers to a small claims court.

Hi, @Seller_nEEe7zUuNBBx9,

After a month of repeated 'the internal team is investigating...' responses, I finally just received an update saying that the investigation is complete.

However, they have misunderstood the situation, as it has not changed, let alone been resolved.

Because this bug makes the SSA system promise Sunday deliveries to most UK postcodes for RM Tracked 24 orders dispatched on a Saturday, I was forced to turn off Saturday dispatch in my settings - likely losing a few sales in the process. I explicitly mentioned this in my cases, which led to Selling Partner Support saying in April:

"Once we resolve this issue, you should be able to re-enable Saturday dispatch with Monday being shown as the earliest delivery estimate, as it worked previously."

Now, however, the internal team is using the consequences of me disabling Saturday dispatch as evidence that the bug itself is fixed! They claim that because Tracked 24 orders received after my same-day dispatch cut-off on Friday, 10/07/2026, were given earliest delivery estimates of Tuesday, "the system correctly skips Sunday" as a delivery day. This is not true! It simply skips Saturday as a dispatch day due to a different, non-bugged setting I was forced to change 3 months ago to try to compensate for the actual bug!

I have replied to this latest response with a screenshot showing that the system is still showing Sunday as a delivery day, but I don't know if it being 'resolved' by the internal team requires it to again be escalated by a moderator. Is there any other place this can be escalated to where they are more likely to understand and fix this bug in Amazon's system? I would understand if it took a month after escalation to be resolved, but it is staggering that it has taken a month after escalation (3 months after it was first brought to Amazon's attention) just to be misunderstood like this.

Like with the introduction of FBM Ship+ last week, Amazon is increasingly enticing FBM sellers to use SSA, expedited/next-day delivery, and fast handling time, so I would think an issue which affects the combination of SSA & our largest postal service's fastest standard delivery deserves escalation to the highest technical level - especially since it requires us to effectively extend handling time to compensate. This would involve sending it to a team which can actually look into the logic of the SSA system, not just look at my orders to see if it magically resolved itself.

Many thanks for any assistance you can provide!

Hello,

We need help escalating an unresolved FBA inventory issue.

ASIN: B0CWH1Y1W5

SKU: DH-JAYD-P4DE

Quantity affected: 130 units

Status: Reserved – FC Processing

Date received by Amazon: 6 June 2026

Case IDs: 12928276972, 12908274762

Amazon previously confirmed that the units are physically accounted for and that the issue relates to a barcode/catalogue association problem at the fulfilment centre. However, the inventory remains unavailable for sale and our cases are no longer receiving substantive responses.

We need either:

release of the 130 units to sellable inventory; or

a Fulfilment Centre Operations reimbursement claim review; or

escalation to the correct internal inventory resolution team.

Could an Amazon moderator please help escalate this?

Thank you.

Same here,

IOSS order on 15/07 to France.

We sent same day, MP7 in Click&Drop.

Selected "Taxes have been prepaid via IOSS. I will pay any duties & fees. (IOSS PDDP)", label printed out with PDDP not IOSS.

Today Your latest Royal Mail Surcharge Supplement email arrives and charged:

Taxes - £10.35

Duty - £2.59

Handling fee - £1

Total Amount £13.94

After Amazon fees and shipping we only received about £29 for the order, unaffordable to then pay nearly 50% of this to RM.

Please keep the thread open and update if you get any answers.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I am trying to understand whether there has been a broader search ranking or catalogue change across Amazon’s European marketplaces today.

Several sellers in different groups have reported a very similar pattern:

Products that previously ranked near the top of their category or search results have suddenly fallen sharply, in some cases from the top 50 to around 40,000 or becoming difficult to find at all.

Search results that previously contained a normal mix of third party offers now appear to be heavily dominated by products sold by Amazon Retail.

Some sellers have reported that their Best Sellers Rank is no longer visible or that their product ranking has effectively disappeared.

The issue appears to be affecting European marketplaces. At the time of checking, sellers had not observed the same widespread pattern in the US marketplace.

This does not appear to be limited to one ASIN, account or category. Multiple independent sellers reported the same change at approximately the same time.

The most concerning part is that products with stable sales histories and previously strong rankings appear to have lost visibility almost immediately, without any obvious corresponding change in sales performance, listing status, inventory or account health.

This raises several possible questions:

Has Amazon changed the European search ranking algorithm?

Is there a temporary indexing, catalogue or Best Sellers Rank issue?

Has the weighting of Amazon Retail offers within organic search results changed?

Are third party seller listings being temporarily excluded or significantly deprioritised?

Could this be a reporting delay affecting BSR and search placement rather than a permanent ranking change?

Has anyone else seen the same pattern today in the UK or EU marketplaces?

It would be useful if affected sellers could share:

Marketplace

Category

Approximate previous ranking

Current ranking or visibility

Whether the listing is still indexed

Whether sales and sessions have also dropped

Whether Amazon Retail products are now occupying most of the leading search positions

I am posting this to identify whether this is a widespread system issue or a deliberate ranking change, rather than an isolated listing problem.

Hello, I wonder if somebody could help me.

Since approximately May 2026, I have experienced a dramatic decline in Sponsored Products impressions across multiple campaigns and multiple ASINs on my UK account.

What makes this unusual is that the issue does not appear to be isolated to a single product, keyword, campaign, or listing.

Current situation:

• Multiple Sponsored Products campaigns affected simultaneously.

• Multiple ASINs affected across different product types.

• Campaigns show "Delivering" status.

• Account Health is healthy.

• Buy Box remains active.

• FBA inventory is in stock.

• Listings are active and purchasable.

• Organic sales continue.

• Occasional ad-attributed sales still occur.

• No Search Suppressed listings.

Actions already taken:

• Increased bids substantially.

• Increased daily budgets substantially.

• Checked advertising payment method.

• Reviewed titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend keywords.

• Corrected category and browse node issues where identified.

• Verified inventory and Buy Box status.

• Created a cloned campaign to test whether an individual campaign was corrupted.

Results:

Despite the above actions, impressions remain dramatically lower than historical levels. Increasing bids and budgets has not materially restored visibility.

One thing I have noticed is that a newly cloned campaign appears to behave exactly the same as the existing campaigns, which makes me wonder whether the issue sits above the individual campaign level.

I am interested to know:

• Has anyone experienced a similar account-wide decline in Sponsored Products impressions while campaigns still show Delivering?

• Has anyone had Amazon identify an advertising eligibility, serving, or visibility issue that was not visible in Seller Central?

• Were you able to identify a root cause?

I am currently raising the matter with Seller Support, but I would be interested to hear from sellers who have experienced something similar.

Thank you for any advice or suggestions.

We are into the second day of this and our catalogue is still broken. Adding our account to the reports already in this thread, because the scale of what sellers are absorbing is not being reflected in the responses we are getting back.

Account: Amazon UK. Disposable food packaging and catering disposables, plus Home & Kitchen.

Scale: 300+ ASINs affected. That is our entire active catalogue.

Where we were before this started:

  • Best Seller badge held on the majority of our range
  • Around 60% of the remainder sat under #50 in their subcategory
  • Ranks stable for months, in several cases over a year

Where we are now:

  • Every badge gone
  • Subcategory ranks past #100 across the board
  • Several ASINs past #10,000

Nothing changed on our side. No listing edits. No flat files. No category changes. No price moves in the seven days before this started. No account health issues. Our listings are active and buyable. We came in one morning and a year of rank was gone.

Now the part nobody at Amazon has addressed.

Our categories are currently topped by listings sold by Amazon Retail and Amazon Basics. Third party ASINs with real, verifiable recent sales have dropped out of the node entirely while 1P listings hold the Best Sellers pages. Sellers in other threads are reporting the same thing, including an Amazon Basics cable sitting at #13 in USB Cables on "100+ bought in past month" while third party sellers moving thousands of units are nowhere near it.

So I am asking Amazon to answer this directly, rather than leaving sellers to draw their own conclusions:

Why are Amazon's own listings the ones left standing while third party listings have been stripped out of their nodes? If this is a catalogue failure, explain why the failure landed on one side of the marketplace and not the other. If it is not a failure, say that instead.

What we need, and we need it today:

  1. A named ETA.
  2. Written confirmation that BSR will be restored to pre-issue values

We are not a small account and we are not an isolated case. This thread alone now covers Health & Personal Care, Sports & Outdoors, Fashion, glassware, spice storage, cables, and now disposables and Home & Kitchen. That is not a category problem. That is the UK and EU catalogue.

Can someone from the Catalogue or Sales Rank team respond here with an actual update rather than a redirect to another thread.
