Remove brand name from title
by Seller_iZL0ysZFrLJmN

I am handmade ( or should I say, was handmade). I also have a trademark for my Brand, but I often put my Brand name at the end of my listing - same reason as you have stated - the product is far more well known that a small handmade business Brand.

I've tried to amend one of my products which didn't have my brand name in it.

It completely removed the Brand from the title. When I look at the title of the product in my inventory, it shows my Brand in first place in the title, but when I open the page, it doesn't show - EXCEPT when I look in my top bar on my computer (ie the bit you would normally see the name of the site you are visiting - and then the Brand is showing as if it's there first before the product.

So, here's an idea of what is showing for one of my products:

In my Inventory: "Lesley H Phillips Handmade Recycled Sterling Silver Square Necklace – Textured & Gift Boxed - Made in Dorset Jewellery"

What shows on the product page : "Handmade Recycled Sterling Silver Square Necklace – Textured & Gift Boxed - Made in Dorset Jewellery"

Top Bar on my computer is the same as what's showing in my inventory.

What I have in my title when I am in edit mode: "Handmade Recycled Sterling Silver Square Necklace – Textured & Gift Boxed - Made in Dorset by Lesley H Phillips Jewellery"

So, as you can see it has completely removed my Brand from the end and taken out the "by Lesley H Phillips" - leaving the Made in Dorset Jewellery.

This looks to me as if it's forcing us to have our Brand name at the front, but I can amend other bits of the title.

I do have other listings which don't change at all when I try to edit them, so I leave them alone as I can't face the merry go round of SS.

At one point straight after the transition, if I went into a listing to do anything - the very next day they kept saying the first image on the product wasn't white background images - they were....but not one of the pictures were showing. In my inventory the products were showing as search supressed. I then had to upload every single picture on the product again as if I only did the first one, the others just didn't show, even though they were showing when I went into 'manage images' .

After this happened about a dozen times, I gave up amending anything. Thankfully, this seems to have been sorted by Amazon now as it was getting beyond a joke.

Interesting News Item
by Seller_19xPhE8YgkmxW

Hi Pashmina_Silk1,

"Amazon has told workers of a fresh round of global job cuts in an email that appears to have been sent in error.

Workers at Amazon Web Services (AWS) received a meeting invitation from a top executive on Tuesday for the following day – subsequently cancelled – that also contained a draft email.

The message erroneously said the affected employees in the US, Canada and Costa Rica had already been told they had lost their jobs.

It was signed by Colleen Aubrey, a senior vice-president of applied AI solutions at the company’s cloud computing arm AWS, while the layoffs were referred to in the email as “Project Dawn”.

“Changes like this are h*rd on everyone,” Aubrey wrote in the email, which was seen by multiple news outlets including Reuters and Bloomberg. “These decisions are difficult and are made thoughtfully as we position our organisation and AWS for future success.”

The email referred to a separate message from Amazon’s human resources boss, which did not appear to have been sent.

Amazon had announced in October it was cutting 14,000 corporate roles. In recent days, several media outlets had reported that the Seattle-based online retail multinational was planning a second round of layoffs, but this has not been confirmed by the company.

Amazon has been trying to reverse a pandemic hiring spree in an effort to cut costs and slim down its huge operation, which employs about 1.5 million people worldwide. Its cloud computing and stores units were reported to be the divisions that would be hit in the latest round of layoffs.

Amazon’s chief executive, Andy Jassy, has previously warned white-collar workers at the company that their jobs could be taken by AI in the next few years.

Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

PS Apparently the phrase "h*rd on" is Inappropriate Language

Hi DigitelTechnologyLtd,

"SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Amazon (AMZN.O), opens new tab is planning a second round of job cuts next week as part of its broader goal of trimming some 30,000 corporate workers, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The company in October cut some 14,000 white-collar jobs, about half of the 30,000 target first reported by Reuters. The total this time is expected to be roughly the same as last year and could begin as soon as Tuesday, the people said, who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to discuss Amazon’s plans."
