Amazon you're full of s***, of course it is a money grab!

Making money on our money...

Otherwise prove to us otherwise, instead of quoting generic policy or the surface level intent.

As stated below by all of these fantastic sellers, all raising factual and valid concerns!

Here at Atlantix, we produce less than a 1.8% return or defect rate over the course of the last 6 months.

Yet where is the money?! We have received less than 10% of our actual revenue made after all costs considered week on week.

I have to sit there weekly, manually reviewing each transaction as well, because your accounting structure muds the accuracy of any clear identification of funds, it is truly predatory and it baffles our entire team how this a legal practice within the UK...

IF we were a consumer, and not an LTD under 'such commercial selling agreements', Amazon would have been shut down a very long time ago by trading standards...

If anything it is a grey area, seeing Ombudsman mentions here - we know that we are in support of such investigation or review of the rolling reserve situation, and we encourage other sellers to voice this if anything is found for the benefit of all.

We have over £2k 'pending' in your reserve nonsense right now as it is, and I am unable to pay suppliers using business funds, let alone expand or order new stock. It's a constant personal bleed with this cashflow mismatch.

Our suppliers are in China, of course with a 2-4 month turnaround, from point of payment to live on FBA.

Surely it is in Amazon's best interest to actually allow sellers to access their working capital as soon as possible, so that sales can increase, in turn actually benefiting Amazon via sales commission ffs?!

Personally the core of my frustration, is that demand isn't our issue right now, it is in fact keeping the goods coming in which it feels and is structured in a way where Amazon is actually working against us here, especially when we are increasing week on week.

I should NOT be having to seek external investors right now to obtain our next rolling stock batches, to obtain that working capital which we did initially have, however the payout delays has certainly created that artificial problem that could have been avoided entirely.

Yes money was tight, yes expenses creeped up however no rolling reserve nonsense, we wouldn't even be in this situation.

Many sellers share a similar frustration I am sure.

Thanks,

Frankie C

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.
by Seller_AJxxLujbGDqaW

So Amazon has decided to revamp the add new product page, so instead of listing an item on the source site and allowing BIL (build international listings) to manage it, you now have to go into every separate country and add the delivery details, so about 5 minutes just to list a product.

Can someone tell me why Amazon DELIBERATELY make things more complicated when there is no need, I suppose it is to try and make sellers so frustrated that they just give up and close their accounts, after 10 years I am very close to doing just that as I cannot take the incompetence of Amazon any longer.

We are an established seller and are currently facing a situation that is becoming existentially threatening to our business.

Amazon is withholding over €700,000 of our funds due to a KYC verification that has now been ongoing for more than 30 days.

All requested documents were fully submitted on December 22nd. Since that date, we have received:

- no status updates

- no feedback

- no meaningful communication

The only response we keep receiving is that the KYC process “may take up to 10 business days.” That timeframe has been missed multiple times, yet we are left in a complete information blackout.

Holding such a significant amount of money without transparency or communication seriously jeopardizes our ability to operate-to pay suppliers, employees, and meet contractual obligations.

We fully understand and respect the need for KYC compliance.

The issue is not the verification itself, but the total failure of communication, missed internal deadlines, and lack of accountability.

As a business partner, not a suspicious entity, this level of treatment raises serious concerns about how Amazon treats its sellers once internal processes stall. At this point, it feels like seller partners are simply ignored when problems arise.

Has anyone here experienced a similar situation?

Is there any effective way to escalate this internally, or is public visibility the only option?

Because silence combined with prolonged fund withholding at this scale is not acceptable—and certainly not what a partnership should look like.

At some point, “internal review” cannot be used as a justification for unlimited delays and zero communication—especially when livelihoods are at stake.

Long Term Storage
by Seller_p0NbxDm3mHOSb

Anyone else having issues with the Long Term Storage Fee? How can it suddenly jump by so much? If the stock wasn't there in January for the 365+ Days, how can it be 10 time the stock quantity in February?

Anyone know which reports will show the stock quantities on the dates so I can compare? can only find what my current stock is

Case: 12154435912

Many thanks

Compliance documents for toys
by Seller_HMxMRdomHkjHi
Amazon replied

Hi I am looking for advice here, I am now on 27 listings taken down as toys. Without exception none of the listings are toys, they are all knitting patterns. Some of them are Jane Greenhowe booklets of instructions to knit various toys. Some of them are knitting patterns to knit dolls clothes and some are matinee jacket knitting patterns.

I have just had a 10 minute conversation with a representative from Amazon Account Health Support. I have been unable to convince him that these are not toys. Even though the listing clearly states that they are patterns or booklets. His response was"But a child could play with them" How? I told him the only thing a child could do with them is tear them up. He then asked if I was going to have them tested. I thought all of the stupid answers were AI but apparently not.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

Have You Used Sponsored Products Ads?
by Seller_khUF6HPR2AHxu
Amazon replied

Hello Sellers,

Sponsored Products ads are one of the most effective ways to increase your product visibility. Here's what you need to know.

📭 Quick Poll: Have you used Sponsored Products ads?

Already using them: Click the "👍" button

Not using them yet: Click the "👎" button

____________________________________________________

Basics of Sponsored Products Ads

For new advertisers, we recommend starting with Sponsored Products ads, which help customers discover and purchase products you sell on Amazon. These ads appear at the top of, alongside, or within shopping results and on product pages, on both desktop and mobile.

Why are Sponsored Products recommended?

  • Easy to start - No complex setup required
  • Budget control - Freedom to set your total spending
  • No monthly fees - No upfront costs or monthly fees
  • Pay-per-click - You only pay when customers click on your ads

On average, advertisers in the United Kingdom who used Sponsored Products saw 48% more sales growth compared to those who didn't, 2 weeks after adoption (Source: Amazon internal data, UK, 2023-09-01 - 2024-08-31. Analysis includes advertisers who spent at least $1).

6 Steps Before Starting Advertising

1️⃣Check Eligibility Requirements

2️⃣Define Your Goals Before starting advertising

  • Increase awareness of new products
  • Increase sales of existing products
  • Differentiating from competitors
  • Promote seasonal products

3️⃣Select Products to Advertise

To get effective results from advertising, choose products that meet these conditions:

  • Competitive pricing
  • Sufficient inventory
  • Positive reviews (if possible)
  • Products with good profit margins

💡 We recommend starting with 2-3 products and expanding as you see results!

4️⃣Optimise Your Product Detail Pages

To maximise advertising effectiveness, optimise your product pages in the following ways:

  • High-quality product images (multiple angles)
  • Compelling titles that include keywords
  • Detailed product descriptions (using bullet points)
  • Search terms that include relevant keywords

💡A product detail page with detailed, high-quality information can increase your chance of making a sale.

5️⃣How Sponsored Products Work - Understand the bidding mechanism

  1. Shoppers see your ad (impression)
  2. You only pay when shoppers click on your ad
  3. Each click deducts your bid amount from your daily budget
  4. The higher your bid and competitiveness, the more likely your ad will be displayed

💡 Understanding how to adjust bids and budgets is key to reaching more shoppers and increasing sales!

6️⃣Create Your First Campaign

Go to the Amazon Ads console “sign-in page" and click "Create campaign".

  1. Pick your products
  2. Give your campaign a name
  3. Set the budget you want (recommended 10£ per day to start)
  4. Select your targeting type (automatic targeting is recommended for beginners)
  5. Choose your bid and launch

I have a product that is one of my top products all the sudden lose the featured offer. We manufacture this product ourselves and do not distribute it to any wholesalers. Of corse there is replicas but we have been number one on amazon for 10 years with this item. Amazon have resolved this issue but its happened twice in the last 2 weeks resulting in 7 days lost sales overall which is a lot of revenue.

Has anyone got any advice how can stop this. i already have a min and max price on the listing. I have the price cheaper than other sites so a little unsure what to do next.

Price tanking
by Seller_AeguohPVBc41I

Thank you for your response.

Although I appreciate an autopricer can help maintain BuyBox etc. It was very noticeable the strange behaviour on 10's of listings where sellers (many cases new sellers) were tanking prices in an unusual way.

I appreciate its the nature of the market and no price is guarenteed - just found it odd how this price tanking episode occured over a quick period of time.

Referal fee for pet food products
by Seller_YeWcEeTwlVO93

Hi @Seller_K0yhp2EoM9UZa, have you confirmed the product category is correct?

I see the referral fee for pet food is 5% for items priced at or up to £10 with a per-item minimum referral fee of £0.25.

If you've spoken with Seller Support, let me know your case ID and I can look at your ASINs.
