The actual issue is not the £0.11/£0.17 adjustments that you are seeing in your Payments repository.

The issue is that Amazon is displaying incorrect prices in the first place when you purchase your labels. I too thought I had been paying £2.95 (<1kg), £3.54 (>1kg), £5.78 (>2kg). I had no idea the billing process is WAY more convoluted than this.

That initial £2.95/£3.54/£5.78 charge is debited from your account by Amazon. Once Evri then scans the parcel into their network, they apply upward pricing adjustments, way higher than the £0.11/£0.17s that you are seeing. Most crucially, if you check your monthly Shipping VAT Credit Note statements issued by Grattan Plc, you will eventually see a reimbursement of charges related to each order.

If you follow the whole chain of billing through in the Grattan statements, the total net amount charged for each purchase should be in line with the Evri rate card negotiated by Amazon. The rates in the card are exclusive of VAT.

<1kg "£2.95" is actually £2.60+VAT = £3.12

>1kg "3.54" is actually £3.17+VAT = £3.80

>2kg "5.78" is actually £4.99+VAT = £5.99

The adjustments you see in your Payments repository are the "shortcut" prices to take you the correct Evri rate card amount. They don't match the adjustments you see in your Grattan reports, and it can get very confusing indeed.

What you do need to look out for is any charges that are not in line with the rate card. For example there was a 20 day period in March (5th to 25th) where Evri's system went haywire and treated EVERY parcel as if it was 2-5kg, regardless of its actual weight and dimensions. I was charged £5.99 for every shipment in that period (and in one isolated case £11.99 for a 620g parcel), and was overcharged in total almost £150.

Amazon have taken no responsibility and told me to speak to Evri (even though when I use Amazon Buy Shipping I have no contractual relationship with Evri). It currently looks like I won't ever be seeing that £150 ever again.

Amazon basically say it is the Seller to claim from the courier (Evri/RM).

Evri are a pain, you have to keep nagging them, phone them, eventually, they may pay £20 as long as the item was 1st scanned. Usually £50 of time wasted to get £20 back is the issue.

You can ask Amazon not to issue any pre-paid return postage labels to Buyers (except for SFP).

Then you must issue a label yourself within 48 hours of each return request.

I would Tag a MOD, hopfully, they can resolve the defect agaunst you, as that should not be the case if not showing before the Appeal.

Bring Back Amazon Lending
by Seller_vdjmMZ26n0fRu

You are right. I have been selling on Amazon for the last 12 years. Previously, I used Amazon Lending, but after another lender took over, I took 3–4 loans from them. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.

I operate on a wholesale business model and, after all expenses, my profit margin is usually only around 10–12%. However, the lender charges extremely high rates, effectively costing more than 20%, which makes it very difficult to make a reasonable profit.

What I found most frustrating was the constant pressure. If sales drop, the account is suspended, or any other business issue arises, they immediately start calling and demanding repayments. No matter how much you try to explain the situation, they do not seem willing to listen. The repayment amounts are fixed, and the weekly instalments must be paid regardless of your business performance.

I am also not satisfied with their Plaid system, as it keeps picking up the wrong bank account details, which has resulted in loan applications being rejected.

Amazon Lending was much easier and more seller-friendly. Because of my experience with this lender, I have decided not to take any further loans from them. In my opinion, they are far too expensive and put unnecessary pressure on sellers, whether the business is large or small.

Methinks you have missed the point and lost the plot along the way with the corporate response.

The OP has stated that Amazons fulfilment fees are higher than the price that they expect them to sell at, thus making an instant loss.

It does not take a mathematician to work out that that is not good business, nor logic being used by the very artificial intelligence that Amazon stands behind and swears by.

£2.57 sale price. minus £2.70 fulfilment fees = 13p instant loss, PLUS cost price of the goods, plus shipping costs to Amazon.

What Amazon fails to comprehend, is the bots are probably scraping at manufacturer/distributor price points and using them as retail price.

Or the old trick of sell at a low price and make your money on the high postage cost, which Amazon obviously does not take into consideration.

You can advertise an item for a penny but charge £20 postage, but Amazon only sees the penny as the reference.

VA needed to help with listing products
by Seller_hMIp3tx0g3mxf
Amazon replied

All, is this an appropriate forum to find a VA to help me list some products?

I am an experienced seller, but pressed for time this month. I need someone for 20 to 40 hours to just list some products for me in UK and Canada. Happy to pay a fair hourly rate for this help.

I have been trading on Amazon for about 20 years. In those days Brand Registry was not a main feature. We like so many sellers often used a generic name or names that were indicative of the product's description. With products in the several hundreds using this system, Amazons answer to registering under our official brands in teh Brand Registry is 'create new ASINS'!

On top of that, we now see what appears to be a blatant hijacking of many of our own manufactured products and a name we do not recognise being added to our products generic brand and even to those products in the main images clearly marked with our brand registered with Amazon.. I made a support request that took quite some time to prepare but after several days was told to pass to another support team! LIke so many selling on Amazon, this reporting takes so much time. As an authorised distributor for a large worldwide brand, we are intending to add to Amazon, this current issue is now holding this up, whiclt we now go round in circles. Is there a quicker, common sense way, to resolve these issues?

Also, shouldn't those who seem to hijack sites be named and shamed?

How is this even allowed Amazon ?
by Seller_sg54Fq7GfBZzn
Amazon replied

As a seller on Amazon I have to totally abide by all of the rules, which I understand is a condition of selling.

But does it not seem that some sellers get away with allsorts and murder ? and even when reported nothing happens ?

The case point I will make is that I bought a product recently and it was really bad, it was supposed to be a silent product, but it really wasnt, that was the selling point. So I left an honest review.

Within a day the seller had emailed me telling me if I removed the review and returned the item I would be refunded. But I had already packed it up and returned it and was being refunded anyway.

I then had a series of emails from them trying to get rid of the review. So No pressure then ? before waking up today to an email offering me a free product to try again and £20 if I remove my review.

This is as bad as fake reviews amazon, people buying off bad reviews. How does that enhance the customer experience ? if 200 people leave negative reviews and they are all bought off that creates a false impression for everyone else and obliterates customer trust.

Good or bad, reviews serve a purpose. We may not always like them, but buying them off is wrong !!!!!!

Thats not even to say the ones still offering money or products for free for leaving reviews, its mad. 60 per cent of all products I buy from Amazon from sellers not based in the UK come with a card, (sent from amazon warehouse no less !!!!!! ) and it will say, please register for your free warranty and received upto £15 back.

This is a funnel, to then offer you a full refund if you leave a five star review, and dont mention you got it for free and the worst part is, you report them and they are allowed to continue. How is that right ?

Hello @Seller_Xo6wnH1oJIBca,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here on the forums. I understand how frustrating it must be to see your Valid Tracking Rate drop to 92.59%.

To better look into what's happening on your account and understand the specifics of this situation, I would need your Case ID from the support case you mentioned having open. Could you please share that here? If for any reason you haven't opened a case with our support team yet, I'd encourage you to do so by clicking on the "Help" button in the top right corner of Seller Central, then selecting "Get help and resources" and describing your issue there.

In the meantime, I'd like to share some general guidance on the Valid Tracking Rate policy. VTR measures how consistently sellers provide customers with valid tracking information for seller-fulfilled shipments. It is calculated by dividing the total number of eligible shipments with a valid tracking ID by the total number of shipments confirmed over a 30-day period, and the target is to maintain at least 95% in every individual product category. For domestic shipments in the UK, a tracked delivery service is required, and for cross-border shipments equal to or above £20, at least two carrier scans (including a delivery or attempted delivery scan) are needed. If your tracking information needs updating, you can edit it before the delivery date by going to Manage Orders, searching for the order ID, clicking "Edit shipment," updating the tracking details, and then clicking "Re-confirm shipment", changes may take up to 72 hours to reflect in your metrics.

I hope this helps clarify things. Please share that Case ID and I'll be happy to look further into this for you. Wishing you a great rest of your day and good sales ahead!

Gary

Hello Amazon Seller Support Team and Community,

I am writing to respectfully request a manual review for my case 12670488262. My previous appeal was rejected, and I believe it may have been handled automatically without full review of the provided evidence.

Product Information:

Key Compliance Details:

Printed on one side only (the reverse side is completely blank white paper).

Physical size is 25% larger than genuine Bank of England notes (ruler measurement photos attached).

Every note is prominently overprinted with "NOT REAL CURRENCY", "COPY", "MOTION PROPS USE ONLY" and other obvious disclaimers.

No security features that could be mistaken for real currency.

Fully compliant with official Bank of England reproduction guidelines.

Supporting documents attached to this case:

High-resolution photos with ruler showing size and single-sided printing

Close-up photos of all disclaimer texts

Similar prop money products are currently selling on Amazon.co.uk. My product follows the same compliant standards and is intended solely for legitimate entertainment and prop use.

I kindly request a human specialist to manually review Case 12670488262. I am fully committed to complying with all policies and am happy to make any additional changes if required.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your help in resolving this matter.

Best regards
