Has anyone had experience getting feedback removed for an item that was delivered exactly as described?

Our listing is for a “10 pack”, meaning the pack contains 10 units. A customer apparently expected to receive 10 × 10 packs (100 units total) and left negative feedback as a result.

The item is a clearance product and already at a very good price, so the customer’s expectation seems unrealistic.

Does anyone have tips for getting feedback like this removed, or would it be better to just respond publicly to clarify?

So I wanted to ask has anyone else had one of these notifications recently from Amazon demanding an Italian VAT number.

We sold into Italy prior to Brexit and had VAT numbers in six countries. But following Brexit the cost of doing business into the EU was crazy, parcel prices went through the roof and Amazons policies on returns expecting us to pay 10 euros for a customer choosing to return an 8 euro item ? was absurd.

So we shuttered it. Didnt send any stock and put the account on Holiday for 2 years.

We were told, you cant close the EU marketplaces without closing the UK, so they had to stay on Holiday forever.

We held a VAT number until October 2025 and once we were sure there was absolutely no way at all we could have any VAT activities in Italy, no returns, anything we had it ended.

Roll on last week, Amazon have demanded a VAT number for Italy.

I have sent them the stock reports proving no stock in italy.

I have sent them the orders for the past year proving not one sale.

They dont care, they just demand a VAT number, it feels like a huge over reach, they wont tell us what has triggered this, what the reason is its needed for or anything.

All you get is ! you need a VAT number.

So there you are, pay up and get a VAT number for a country you have not sold too for two years or else ......, has anyone else experienced this ?

I would not mind if they said oh yes X caused it. But once again it feels like a machine has decided its needed and thats it

Frustrating isnt the half of it. I have tried asking seller support but as usual they are No Support at all

My business owns the GS1 account and we have the GS1 prefix assigned to our business. I've previously created 12 products on Amazon in the US and UK with no issues, however I recently tried to add 26 new products, and Amazon says the barcodes are already in use by another company - a Chinese company that listed them two months ago - even though we've been selling on Amazon for over 10 months with our prefix etc. and own the GS1 account etc.

We have 26 products ready in our warehouse waiting to be uploaded. What can we do? Seller support is being very slow to remove the ASINS and give us back our barcodes.... Has anyone had a similar issue and managed to solve? It's pretty critical for our business!

Hi Manny

has gone again. Been about 10 days again now. The top seller in the category for 7 years and now we suffering as its our top product gone. It comes back for a few days once someone intervenes but then seems overide by the system. What can we do to fix this?

I have a product that is one of my top products all the sudden lose the featured offer. We manufacture this product ourselves and do not distribute it to any wholesalers. Of corse there is replicas but we have been number one on amazon for 10 years with this item. Amazon have resolved this issue but its happened twice in the last 2 weeks resulting in 7 days lost sales overall which is a lot of revenue.

Has anyone got any advice how can stop this. i already have a min and max price on the listing. I have the price cheaper than other sites so a little unsure what to do next.

Hi, how on earth anyone can run any business here if at least once a year we have to deal with the same issues again and again, I'm registered for VAT for last 10 years, nothing change and what a surprise...last friday my VAT number showing rejected!!!!!! I did send my certificate again to email provided with notofocation but silence not even confirmation they've got it or not, this is joke and isn't funny at all!!!!

They are unhelpful, do not bother to look at the attachments with said errors on them, then they chase you 4 hours after you started the case for more information even though they took 10 hours to respond to your case and you are now in bed.

Amazon butchers your listings giving errors and they its left to us to sort, and deal with the SS unhelpfulness, unsupportiveness and delays.

Do Amazon really wonder why there sales are falling???

I was following this topic: UK Arbitrage Success: Your Guide to Profitable Retail Sourcing. Meanwhile I was reading the tread I just make a simple question: "Are you an AI moderator?". In the next 10 minutes my funds get blocked (amount held in reserve to ensure that you have enough founds to fulfil any claims or chargebacks). Amazon is charging my bank account in the way they want...why they need to held any amount? I really hope that is just a coincidence

I am still waiting for an update on my Seller Central case. The last communication mentioned that the internal team is looking into the issue, but we have not received any further response.

It has now been 10 days since the case was opened, and we have not received a resolution or update. It appears the issue is still unresolved.

Kindly provide an update on the current status or escalate this issue if necessary, as we are unable to proceed without further guidance.
