Hi everyone,

I sent a shipment of 300 units to Amazon, but the system shows 100 units missing. Amazon automatically closed the investigation as “contents counted and confirmed,” even though my carrier has confirmed all cartons were delivered to the fulfilment centre.

I was also unable to submit a reconciliation request through the Shipment Contents page, and support hasn’t addressed the delivery proof.

Has anyone had this happen before? How do I get Amazon to reopen the investigation when carrier scans show full delivery?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

In 2026, we will make one of our largest-ever fee reductions, lowering fees by an average of £0.15/€0.17 per unit sold in our European stores. We continue to better align our fee rates to our underlying costs, with more consistency across our worldwide fee structures and programs. We’re committed to your business growth, and we have been working hard to drive innovation and operational efficiencies that keep costs down so that you can continue to offer customers exceptional value.

The following changes will go into effect on December 15, 2025, in all European stores unless otherwise noted:

  • Building on the parcel fee decreases introduced in 2025, we will further reduce Fulfilment by Amazon fulfilment fees for parcels by an average of £0.26/€0.32 in our United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain stores.
  • We will reduce referral fees for Clothing and Accessories from 8% to 5% for items at and up to £15/€15 and from 15% to 10% for items between £15/€15 and £20/€20.

The following changes will go into effect on February 1, 2026, in all European stores:

  • We will reduce referral fees for Home Products (new category) from 15% to 8% for items priced at and up to £20/€20, Pet Clothing and Food from 15% to 5% for items up to £10/€10 and Grocery and Gourmet and Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (new category) from 8% to 5% for items up to £10/€10.
  • We will extend our reduced Low-price Fulfilment by Amazon rates in most categories to products priced at or below £20/€20, lowering Fulfilment by Amazon fees for these newly eligible products by an average of £0.40/€0.45 per unit.
  • To help you promote your top selection, we will lower caps on variable fees for Best Deals and Lightning Deals to £200 in the United Kingdom, €300 in Germany and €100 in France, Italy and Spain. This change builds on our November update to reduce the variable rate and add a cap for vouchers.

Finally, we will make selective fee increases to optimise the efficiency of our network, including to monthly storage fees, return-to-seller and liquidation fees, and will update Fulfilment by Amazon fulfilment fees in our Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland and Poland stores. Together, these updates will result in an average £0.02/€0.02 increase in fee per unit sold via Fulfilment by Amazon.

I find Ebay to be way better in terms of overall cost (fees are much lower that Amazon) and seller support, the big issue with it is that you have to relist every 10 days, and you can only have 300 listings per month as a basic seller - so yes, tedious and time consuming.

I have been selling on Amazon for nearly 20 years and during that time I have bought a lot of GTIN numbers in batches of 1000.

Each year I have to renew every batch and it turns out if you buy a batch of 10000 numbers instead of 1000 I get far more value for my money.

GSIN advised buy the larger batch and update inventory with the new numbers from the larger batch and then close the old numbers.

I went to seller support and they confirmed this can be done with proof of certificates in a bulk category listing upload.

OK so I test it out, I buy 10000 numbers and do a small upload to test, low and behold I get a conflicted information error.

I go to Sellersupport explain the problem, get a stock response, of "You can't update EAN numbers etc" I reopen the case , explain the whole situation again, they transfer me to a "specialist" turns out it was brand support, they immediately transfer back to seller Support, they then pass me to "the Relevant team" - Person at other end didn't even respond.

At this point all my hair is pulled out, no one there wants to know or tackle this head on, I have spend best part of £300 on new numbers.

Many of my listing have multiple reviews which I have worked very hard to get I don't want to start from scratch.

Any advise out there ? can I get it escalated ?

So we are a UK based toy seller. We sell our own brand products and have a strong wholesaler business supplying many UK retailers. Amazon are now insisting that my products need testing through the new TIC verification programme.

All of my products are fully tested to all safety standards and we have all test certificates as required by UK Law and Trading Standards.

Amazon process is that I need to get a TIC approved "documentation check" this entails sending an actual product and test certificates to an Amazon approved provider. So it is looking like the cost of this is going to be north of £300 / product.

In other words DO NOT BOTHER SELLING TOYS ON AMAZON!!

Have I got this wrong somewhere is that what everyone else is finding?

Could you please clarify the following points relating to SAFE-T claim process:

1-If an order was shipped under Seller Fulfilled Prime, and the customer returned goods valued at over £300 using Evri with a return label issued by Amazon on our account — and the shipment was lost by Evri, which only offers £20 compensation — who is responsible for covering the loss in this case?

2-Why does Amazon reimburse less than 60% of the claim amount in cases such as:

  • Goods refunded but never actually returned,
  • Returns where the item received is different from what was shipped (item swapped),
  • Very old purchases (over 3 months old), etc.?

3-Why does the system initially display a “Claim Amount” that is more than 40% lower than the transaction value, even before the claim has been reviewed or assessed?

4- Has there been any recent changes in the SAFE-T claim process reflecting above issues ?

We have lost our buy box eligibility since 4 days and our sales have gone from 3k a day to less than £300 and are declining fast each day. Our buy box percentage has dropped to 0% for the past 2 days.

It is peak q4 selling period for us and ALL our asins are not eligible for the buy box even though we are competitively priced and have an account health of 1000.

Seller central says featured offer eligible is NO even though we are fba, competitively priced and matching the buy box.

We have contacted seller support but keep getting a generic reply, that it is not eligible, but account health says our account has no violations, health is 1000, ipi 700, we have no late defects etc as we are solely FBA. Please can you help.

Handmade Help?

I'm not 100% convinced it's just to do with the 'cost of living crisis' /Amazon haters - they've always been around!

when Handmade was launched I saw a massive upturn in sales. (I had signed up for Amazon normally previously - and at that time was paying £25+vat - and was doing a small amount of sales - covering my monthly fee anyway, I based it on the long game...). Handmade came in and I was invited at the start - wow! what a HUGE difference. Year on year since the shops closed at Christmas in UK for Covid, I've seen the annual comparison be 12% - 15% less. This year it's 40-45% less than the previous year. I'm still doing a little more than when I was professional - but I have 300+ products now - only had about 50 then.

Previously I'd have a sale a day, now I've had a week where I've had only one sale in a whole week!

I think Amazon 'boosted' Handmade an now we don't get that boost, we are lost in amongst everyone else.

Plus, I have also seen that there are a lot of Chinese based sellers in my jewellery category when it was Handmade! No way, are these handmade -100% mass produced (as a silversmith, I can tell) and maybe a Chinese person adds on the ear wires with a pair of pliers, if we're lucky. I also sell Murano glass jewellery and actually complained to Amazon that the price of the pair of earrings sold by a Chinese seller, clearly shows it's not Murano. They could NEVER import Murano glass and sell it for the price that is lower than my trade price of purchasing - get made into jewellery with silver on it - given that silver is at it's higher price than it's ever been, as everyone invests in bullion - and then sell their product for a pittance. Murano glass is only available from the Italian island of Murano and therefore isn't Murano glass if it's made in China, so they would HAVE to import it for it to be legitimate.

My complaint fell on deaf ears and quite clearly, they make more money from these Handmade Chinese sellers, than they do legitimate handmade sellers.

So, I think it's a few things - lack of 'boost' from Amazon , competition from non handmade Chinese sellers and then probably the fact people aren't spending quite as much.
