Hello Amazon team,

Please help. Please!

In Apr, 2024, our listing ASIN B091YVB3JV was removed as Amazon received notification from UK custom that our product package did not meet requirement.

After appealing, we proved that our package met regulation requirement, but Amazon still asked us to remove all inventory from Amazon center before the listing can be reinstated. We removed and removed until the inventory shown in seller center as "0", but!! when we filed case asking Amazon to reinstate the listing, we were told that there is still 1 inventory in stock.

The ridiculous thing is that, we seller cannot see any inventory in seller center, nor can we remove it! Amazon said that they will contact the inner FBA team to remove the inventory, but it has been over another 6 months!!! Still no process.

We kept urging and checking, but kept being asked to wait.

This is ridiculous! A seller has been waiting for more than 1 year but listing still can not be reinstated, and the seller cannot do nothing but wait!

I really need help to reinstate my listing, what can I do?? Please help!

Sellers can't put condition notes on new items so it's not technically possible to advertise a 'new' book as a 1st edition.

It would be interesting to see what feedback amazon US receives but, being Amazon, it is hidden by default.

Typical feedback from one the many dropshippers advertising these phantom books:

1 out of 5 stars Ordered as illustrated expensive out of print edition. What received drop-shipped from USA is cheap reissue with different artwork. Please refund.

Or, more commonly:

1 out of 5 stars

SCAM! Ordered two copies of an out of print book. Seller claimed to have shipped them but could not provide any tracking. They never arrived. Seller shouldn't be allowed to sell on Amazon.

Hello,

I’m writing to report a targeted, inauthentic review attack on my listing. Out of three total ratings, two are one‑star ratings with no comments and one is a 1‑star review from an account that has never reviewed any other product. All of these 1‑star ratings appeared within the same week, and I haven’t received any other 1‑star feedback besides these.

This is not the first occurrence: few months ago I experienced a similar wave of fake reviews, which Amazon kindly investigated and removed. The current attack is clearly orchestrated to harm my seller metrics and has already caused a noticeable drop in sales.

Could you please investigate and remove these inauthentic ratings under Amazon’s Community Guidelines? I appreciate your swift assistance in safeguarding the integrity of product feedback and my account performance.

This is my listing (ASIN: B0DK3WV3ZS ). Receiving a review on listing like this is very rare and takes much time but i received 1 star 3 reviews with in 5 days which is impossible.

All of our Ratings are 5 and 4 stars and they all have reviews while the new 1 stars have no reviews which proves the suspicion as customers have no problem with our product as seen in the reviews.

There are other suspicious matters like attacker accounts being new, the reviews being polar opposite of what the normal and Vine customers say, opting out of communication, a different name on the orders so I can't find the order ID to report etc.

Has a new account. Only sent 1 review in its lifetime and that is to my product . Sends a 1 star review at the end of March 2025 when I received wave of 1 star attacks.

I have done some deep digging. I have found their order ID and also found even more suspicious proof to declare that the 1 star are paid and inauthentic.

One of the 1 star rating was converted into a 1 star review.

This is the order ID: 205-3461931-4794712

Suspicious Points:

1. Bought on 25 Feb 2025

2. Gave 1 star rating at the time of wave of 1 star attack at the end of March 2025.

3. Converted it from a rating to a review after 3 months.

4. Instead of throwing the product or refunding it, the customer kept it. After 3 months, he now shows the pictures of the product in his reviews which looks nothing like the normal product and probably has been tampered with. This can be proved by looking at other customer reviews. One of the Vine Customer has also shared a video showcasing the product.

5. I tried to communicate with the customer and didn't receive a reply.

This evidence is more than enough to justify the review being fake.

No Win Situation on Handmade at Amazon

A customer places an order and 6 weeks pass without a word.

Suddenly a 1 star product review is left stating there was a problem with one of the 2 things ordered, a 5 star product review was left for the other item.

The customer did not get in touch first to let me or Amazon know.

There is no longer the ability to respond directly to product feedback.

The message I sent to the customer was rejected because they have opted out of unsolicited emails.

So how am I supposed to rectify this for the customer and let future customers know that I have tried to get hold of them to find out what happened and have changed the product in response to the bad review?

I have a consignment that I can ship to the warehouse using Amazon shipping providers in one box but I notice that I get a £7.60 discount if I split it into 4 boxes.

Cost to ship 1 box - £3.06

Cost to ship 4 boxes - £11.85

Am I missing something or is it going to cost me and extra £1.51 to help Amazon out?
