Good news keep on coming, today I got a letter from RM that they are going to increase the price of my Tracked 48, 24 prices that were negotiated based on 20 parcels a week with a weigh of 1kg each. I have never been able to improve on this even if I send more than 250 parcel a week now. I don't have an account manager and they keep promising to call me but no one ever does. The average weight of a parcel is 324 g, therefore paying nearly £1 than on Click and Drop for a tracked 48 I think it's daylight robbery. I have contacted DPD sales team and now waiting for them to get in touch. If FBA were any good...

Anyone who has had the same problem?

Unfortunately Amazon no longer allow the seller to submit the documents and you have to go through the testing route via Amazon and not via the Manufacturers. Its a completely ridiculous new policy and can cost 300-500 PER ITEM.

I dont know what Amazon are thinking doing it this way, but its very likely another greedy cash grab and they get commision from each of their 'trusted testors'.

Hi Everyone,

From 23rd of December I noticed our sales had reduced from 500 units a day to 40 units a day. I thought it may be due to Christmas holidays. When I checked all ASINs , we have lost all Buy box for all active listings. Despite we offer prime and despite we are cheaper then other sellers, I just spoke to seller support and been told my account is not eligible for buybox. Its a temporary technical issue.

I have seen other similar threads. How long did it take to get fixed as we are loosing significant sales everyday

you really need to study Seller University several times to understand terminology and is Amazon works- there is an awful lot to learn

FBA is when you send goods to Amazon warehouse to dispatch for you- whereas FbM us when you dispatch yourself. If you don’t send goods to Amazon then just ignore it as there is nothing to dispatch.

You are goin g to end up in a real and expensive mess unless you familiarise yourself with Amazon BEFORE you start to sell.

I am a new Brand Owner reaching out for urgent assistance. My listing has a critical error: the item_package_quantity (IPQ) is incorrectly set to 4 in the creation process, but the product is a single gift box (IPQ 1).

With 500 units currently being checked into FBA, Amazon will ship 4 product for the price of 1, which will result in a total loss of inventory and capital. I closed the listing today for obvious reasons.

I have made multiple attempts to update this attribute via the 'Manage Inventory' tool and Flat File uploads, but the changes will not save. Seller Support has also attempted to manually push the update from their end, but they were unsuccessful as well.

Account & Case Details

  • ASIN: B0FR96XBX3
  • Case ID: 11902233002
  • Status: Brand Registered, GTIN Exemption, Zero sales history.

The Issue: Support provides automated replies stating the IPQ attribute is "static." Since there is no sales history or "customer perception" of this ASIN yet, there is no logical reason this cannot be corrected to reflect the physical reality of the product.

Inventory Status: 500 units (25 master cartons) arrived at FBA on Dec 13th. Each unit is factory-labeled with a unique barcode intended for a single sale.

Questions for Moderators & Catalog Specialists

  1. Attribute Override: How can I escalate this to a Catalog Specialist who can manually override this "static" attribute? As the Brand Owner, I can provide manufacturer invoices and photos to prove the IPQ is 1.
  2. Inventory Remapping: Support suggested "creating a new ASIN." If I create a new ASIN with the correct IPQ (1), can the 500 physical units currently at the warehouse be remapped to the new ASIN? Or will they remain "stranded" and tied to the broken ASIN?
  3. Variation Strategy: If I create a "1-pack" child variation, will the FBA system recognize the existing inventory as that child, or will it still attempt to fulfill based on the parent's incorrect IPQ?
  4. Removal Order: Is a full removal order (to a 3PL and back) truly the only way to fix a metadata error on a product that hasn't even sold yet? The cost of this would be devastating for a new business.
  5. Support suggested this: If you need to change an attribute that cannot be edited, we recommend that you try to locate an ASIN that already exists with the correct item_package_quantity attribute. what do they mean with this?

I am at a loss and am requesting a human review of this case to prevent a catastrophic loss. I would appreciate any clarification or guidance. I cannot afford this loss, and the situation is causing me significant distress.

I’m reaching out to the community because I’m honestly at a loss and don't know what to do anymore. I’m a new seller and I feel like I’m about to lose my entire investment before even starting.

I am the Brand Owner, the catalog has an error: it says the 'item_package_quantity' is 4, but it’s actually 1 (a single gift box). I have 500 units currently being checked into FBA, and I am terrified that Amazon will ship 4 boxes for the price of 1, which would bankrupt my small business.

I’ve opened 5 cases (IDs: 11797052992, 11797503602, 11800891432, 11796658902, 11801271682) but I only get automated replies saying the attribute is 'static' and cannot be changed.

I am considering these options and would love your advice:

  1. Should I remove all 500 units from FBA? This would cost me a lot of money in removal fees and shipping, which I can barely afford right now. This option would financially destroy my business and lead to its closure.
  2. Is there any way a Catalogue Specialist can update this? Since the listing is brand new, has ZERO sales history, and I am the original creator, I don't understand why it's so hard to fix a simple number to prevent a shipping error.
  3. Could I create a NEW listing with the correct attribute (IPQ 1) and have Amazon associate my existing FBA inventory to that new ASIN? Is that even possible? I don't want these 500 units to become 'stranded' or lost.

I’ve kept the listing Closed because I’m scared to sell. If any Community Manager or experienced seller could guide me on how to fix this without losing my 500 units, I would be eternally grateful.
