Stuck on KYC verification for business address
by Seller_pjmq7robPorVM
Amazon replied

I have been struggling to pass KYC verification. First Amazon asked for proof of Business address and proof of personal/owner(non-UK resident) address, which I provided. Now, they are asking to "Provide a copy of a proof of business address in your home country" under the section of LTD Business details.

Now in the business details section its the address of LTD that is registered in the UK. How can I submit a document in that section with a different country business address? That will straight away get rejected due to unmatched information. Can anybody help me with this? Which document are they exactly asking for.

Email from Amazon:

We are contacting you because we need additional documents to continue with your account verification.

What documents do I need to provide?

Address verification documents:

-- Provide a copy of a proof of business address in your home country. We can accept any of the following documents, if dated within the last 180 days:

--> Utility bill (gas, water, electricity, TV, internet, mobile phone, or landline)

--> Bank statement (Documents issued by a financial services provider, such as third-party providers or online digital banks, are not acceptable as a proof of address.)

--> Credit card statement or bill

--> Building society or credit union statement

--> Rent receipt from a local council or letting agent

CHeck my post, tons of other sellers affected by the same. The only way this gets any attention is if we all write to a national tv/newspaper

Please write to national tv/news to get them to pay attention, that's the only quick wa I see Amazon actually having humans(not bots) looking into this. Tens of businesses essentially bankrupted...

Suspicious Email, is this genuine? KYC
by Seller_IRiqSPmWQ0FjX

I am suspicious of the email below with a return address ending amazon.uk (and not .com or .co.uk) which does not exist as a website.

Also the sender don’t seem to address us buy our business name, or for which Marketplace or give our account code.

Also don’t understand why such a requirements does not appear in our Support Cases section.

Perhaps someone could assist in proving the validity of this requirement before I send a copy of my passport off.

They ask for a driving licence but a UK licence does not include all the info require so why ask for this?

Thanks

PS Also I have no idea what POC stands for.

Subject: [Action Required]: Documents Required for your IBA Account Verification

Dear Seller,

We need additional documentation for your Invoice by Amazon (IBA) account verification. To ensure that all seller information remains accurate and compliant with IBA KYC requirements, we ask you to provide the following document(s) associated with your seller account: POC ID required.

Please forward a copy/scan/photo of the valid document to vat-iba-verification at amazon.uk from your Seller Central registered email address.

(I have had to change the symbol to 'at' as otherwise the forum would not let me post saying I could not post with links outside Amazon)

POC ID required

Please provide us with a valid (non-expired) and official identification document issued by a government authority, such as one of the following:

• A valid passport's information page that has the photo and signature

• A driving license

• A national identity card

• A residence permit

The document must include all of the following information:

• Full name

• Place of birth (POB)

• Date of birth

• Country of citizenship

• Official ID number

• Expiration date

Please submit the following required documents within 7 days to maintain your IBA account status.

Thank you and let me know if you have any question.

Best regards,

Deepak Kumar

Other markeplaces
by Seller_76AUwmqvSyRIM

I have been approved but I don’t like their returns policies so I have not proceeded.

Things like returnless refunds, returns costs etc. Not for me.

Was also approved for diy dot com but the free returns policy does not suit my business so again, have not proceeded. Shame.

Urgent need for KYC assistance
by Seller_1sg6lTIYhP9am

That may very well be so, but that doesn't give them the right to deactivate long standing sellers for no reason, with no line of communications. Businesses destroyed, lives ruined; years of work for nothing in the end. We need to get together and make this public, for the UK government to see and take action. Everyone affected by something similar please get in touch; I'm ready to take this to the newspapers, National TV, the Government. @Seller_Jl0QHDp7ab1Ha@Seller_XUNeUuvrQDpgP@Seller_WgGjHkDr4GapL@Seller_yiW4s8ECJaDos@Seller_EQWVHPaH1ffWL@Seller_j5BZQ9R1sSxT3@

handmade reclassification
by Seller_ZjZ4slOF0jHpk

I got the same email yesterday. Had a slight panic but eventually realised (I hope) that it was referring to the .com site.

I have a US Handmade account too, but never ever listed anything on it. I'm hoping it was just because of that. I couldn't see any changes to my UK Handmade listings or their visibility. And yeh, the time of year is extremely frustrating. They say not to edit certain fields whilst this is ongoing and at the same time seem to be making a hash of the move meaning we want to go in and fix them - though I can't see any changes to the 'Product Type' column yet.

I don't have time to go through 3000 listings to see if they are different from what's in that report. Also I can't understand why the report has the ASIN field empty for my Handmade listings, but the listings all have ASINs. Am I meant to go and manually add them to the report and upload it? This seems such a mess.
