Hi All,

My account has been deactivated with additional documentation required as per email (dd. 18 April 2025) from Amazon below. On April 19, 2025, I have provided documents from category 1 as my businss is not established in UK for VAT Purposes so I am not able to provide documents from category 2 and 3. I have opened an internal review to request what exactly I can deliver. After almost 1 month, Amazon resent me the below email with the similar content on April 25, 2025. Not possible to call Amazon as my account on Individual selling plan. Please advise what to do. Amazon does not react to my emails.

Hello,

We’d like to inform you that your account requires additional verification.

We have noticed that the address provided in your Seller Central account or in the documents provided is used by a number of different companies as their registered address, hence, does not meet our establishment requirements.

As a result, your listings have been deactivated and your funds have been withheld in EU and UK marketplaces, while we work with you to confirm the actual address from which you operate your business. This is where you and your employees are physically present.

We have taken this decision in accordance with our Funds Disbursement Eligibility policy: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/external/help.html?itemID=9RA9LYBJ3QP27M6

What actions do I need to take?

To reactivate your listings and disbursements, send the following three documents to vatsubmit@amazon.com:

1. A recent commercial invoice or utility bill issued to your operating business address. The utility bill can be a gas, water, electricity, TV, internet, mobile phone, or landline and must be dated within the last 180 days.

2. The last 3 VAT filings submitted to UK HMRC as downloaded from HMRC Online. These 3 VAT filings also must include the submission receipt reference.

3. Copies of your bank statements showing the corresponding payments or refunds to HMRC.

What happens if I do not take any action?

If you do not provide the required information, your listings and the ability to disburse funds will remain deactivated.

We’re here to help

If you have any questions, contact us at https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/help/hub/support

Sincerely,

Amazon Europe

VEEQO Buy Shipping Issues Beware
by Seller_voW9gFQs6cI1A

So because you have had no issues means others don't???? so when your TV breaks I can say well my TV is fine so you need a better understanding of how this works.

Your reply is totally irrelevant and pointless and I'm not sure why you even bothered with it as it seems your only intent was to belittle the poster rather than attempt help

EU Store Status Inactive
by Seller_fgtTzyHQfOM1x

Hello @Seller_ZVX3qG6y9UPuF,

Ash here to assist. It has been understood that you need help to activate your selling account.

Did you complete the identity verification on your account?

The verification of your identity is required by law for the use of a payment account.

To reactivate your listings and disbursements in connection with amazon.co.uk, you must provide the following three documents:

1. A recent Utility Bill addressed to your registered business address. This can be a gas, water, electricity, TV, internet, mobile phone, or landline and must be dated within the last 180 days.

2. The last 3 VAT filings submitted to UK HMRC as downloaded from HMRC Online. These 3 VAT filings also must include the submission receipt reference.

3. Copies of your bank statements showing the corresponding payments or refunds to HMRC.

How do I provide the required documents?

Send all the documents to vatsubmit@amazon.com.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on seller forums. The forums community and I, are here to assist with your concerns.

Regards,

Ash.

Account Wrongfully Deactivated
by Seller_ci0tXmQaOtOeo

Hi @Seller_fgtTzyHQfOM1x,

Yes, I received it on April 18th. I'll quote the relevant parts:

"We’d like to inform you that your account has now been deactivated. As a result, your listings have been deactivated and your funds have been withheld in EU and UK marketplaces, while we work with you to confirm the address from which you operate your business. This is where you and your employees are physically present."

"To reactivate your listings and disbursements, send the following three documents or communications to vatsubmit@amazon.com

3. Copies of your bank statements showing the corresponding payments or refunds to HMRC."

I have emailed several documents to 'vatsubmit@amazon.com' proving the address; including a bank statement, company snapshot, and bill of lading. However, I cannot send VAT documents as we are not VAT registered because we have not met the revenue threshold.

I have also updated our business address on our Amazon account to a physical address and it has been successfully verified.

Essentially, our account was deactivated due to using a virtual business address which flagged our account up as being based outside of the UK, creating the false impression that we owe thousands in VAT.

The root of the problem has been fixed, now we are waiting for our account to be reactivated, but Seller Support is not replying to our cases.

Best Regards,

Fin

@Seller_mS10UjVYuuGor

That is NOT what the law says, the Buyer may return most items, if returned within 14 days of receiving it (or a returns request in that time + 14 days from the date of that being authorised).

The item may be viewed, box opened, but must be in a salable condition upon its return, so 'as new' - it cannot be marked, dirty, etc. Box can be opened, but again not marked/damaged, and all complete. (Standard UK Postage to Buyer paid by Seller)

Amazon 'law' is different, after the above legal requirements, the Buyer may return, up to 30 days from date received, but it still has to be in the same merchantable condition as received. If postage cherged that does not have to be repaid (you cannot deduct a cost if free shipping).

If not 'as new' Amazon allow a deduction on the refund. They usually accept 50% deduction if not as new, unless something minor, or if a new part is cheaper, deduct that (eg a lead missing at £10, deduct that, not 50% off at say £2500 as per your £5k example).

If a FBM item, eg SFP, raise a Safe-T Claim if they refund in full.

If a FBA item, then Amazon just say that is the fun of Selling on Amazon usually, so add a % on all FBA items to cover losses?, or do not use FBA?

If you buy from Amazon, you at least know if you drop a £5k TV, you will get a refund!?!
