Stop Opt Out Brand Transparency

Yes we are now no longer enrolled in transparency. The process was to opt out was slow, painful and needlessly complicated due to Amazon seller support.

My first shipment to a FBA centre after leaving transparency had 65 lost items! Coincidence?

I shipped 66 of 1 ASIN and they checked in 1, but lost 65, even though they were packed together in the same carton? How is that even possible? How can you remove 1 item, scan it and leave 65 of the same item in the box?

I'm sure this is unrelated to opting out of transparency, but it's another familiar Amazon problem that costs sellers money.

I have a case ID for this and have to go through the usual nonsense communication.

Does anyone have experience with cancelling or opting out of Amazon brand transparency? I can't find anything on the transparency website or the FAQ on how to cancel or opt out. Calling seller central is great fun as they say 'their isn't a phone number for that department.'

We've had so many issues with Amazon incorrectly invoicing for bar code downloads, fulfilment centre incorrectly scanning the bar codes and even the label printing company they recommend having issues.

The 'account manager' has changed 4 times in a year and doesn't reply to emails. Frankly, it doesn't seem worth the time, cost and headache it has caused.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sales in the Handmade Category

We have been trying to sell on Amazon Handmade for almost a year. We have tried everything FBA-FBM. We are trying to sell baby products. Our prices are good. But we could only make 3-5 sales in a year. Last week we received an email about the listings not being visible in the general categories on Amazon Handmade and that they would fix this. Now we are removing our listings from the handmade category. 1 year. It is really scary.

Our problem is this. Now we have about 50 of our valuable hand-knitted stocks in the US FBM stocks. We have 3 5-star reviews. We moved them to the General category with a ticket (we removed them from handmade). However, they still appear as handmade in the Edit Listing section. We deleted our non-FBM listings and re-entered them as the General Category, but is there a way to re-enter our stocked and starred listings? For example, what would happen if we re-created the same list and merged the list? Are there anyone among us experiencing these problems?

Thank you for the reply. I've been selling on Amazon for about 12 years but obviously missed this announcement. I suppose I just sit patiently and wait. Compared to other sellers mine really is not a large amount. i have every sympathy for them.

Thank goodness for these forums, this was a helpful reply. Trying to communicate with anyone on Amazon just provokes a formulaic reply. Thanks again.

ITALY VAT claiming back VAT prepayment.

In 2020, I was still on PAN FBA with Avalara. I made Italy VAT prepayment.

In 2021 after BREXIT I stopped selling in Italy, and now I have over 2000 euro overpayment.

I was told by Avalara I have to wait at least 2 years to get it back. Now it is over 3 years.

Has anybody asked for refund from Italy for pre Brexit VAT prepayment?

My account is deakctivated by section 3.

Amazon sad they have concern about the „authencity“ of my prdouct. The Problem is.

I Send multiples appeals with the invoice with al neccesary Information.

Everytime they don’t accepted and say it’s not enough for them to reactivate my account.

Do I Need some other documents? Maybe like a plan of action etc.

Yes I've raised many dozens of tickets and had several calls, all to be told that they are investigating and nothing happens all whilst they have repeated this scan 4 times in the past 3 months that I have witnessed.

First outreach to seller support was around 8 weeks ago

Natuready who sell hypnozan sleep tablets (Brand Vox pharmaceutica) has on several occasions over the past year committed review manipulation by removing negative reviews periodically.

It's the most straight forward case of review manipulation and I have been reporting them to Amazon by all the usual means for over 2 months using the reporting abuse button, emailing violations & review teams. I have been unable to get them to take action against this seller. I have tried all of the usual pathways.

I submitted a PDF clearly showing widespread flagrant review manipulation and listing duplications but whoever has looked at this somehow doesn't believe it is enough to take action, at this point it is plain negligence by Amazon & they are allowing customers to be misled in mass.

I now want to escalate this as much as possible to finally get somebody within Amazon to take action & look into this properly.

I have been advised to contact managingdirector@amazon.co.uk for further escalation.

Does anybody have any further escalation tips/channels that may be useful in getting somebody who is actually serious within Amazon to properly look into this mass manipulation.

I would be extremely grateful.

If interested in how they are scamming customers, the details are below:

It appears to be merging of ASINS that is their primary method given the number of abandoned ASIN’s I have found detailed below. By merging this removes all the previous negative reviews periodically which brings the overall rating of the product back up. They have done this numerous times.
