The actual issue is not the £0.11/£0.17 adjustments that you are seeing in your Payments repository.

The issue is that Amazon is displaying incorrect prices in the first place when you purchase your labels. I too thought I had been paying £2.95 (<1kg), £3.54 (>1kg), £5.78 (>2kg). I had no idea the billing process is WAY more convoluted than this.

That initial £2.95/£3.54/£5.78 charge is debited from your account by Amazon. Once Evri then scans the parcel into their network, they apply upward pricing adjustments, way higher than the £0.11/£0.17s that you are seeing. Most crucially, if you check your monthly Shipping VAT Credit Note statements issued by Grattan Plc, you will eventually see a reimbursement of charges related to each order.

If you follow the whole chain of billing through in the Grattan statements, the total net amount charged for each purchase should be in line with the Evri rate card negotiated by Amazon. The rates in the card are exclusive of VAT.

<1kg "£2.95" is actually £2.60+VAT = £3.12

>1kg "3.54" is actually £3.17+VAT = £3.80

>2kg "5.78" is actually £4.99+VAT = £5.99

The adjustments you see in your Payments repository are the "shortcut" prices to take you the correct Evri rate card amount. They don't match the adjustments you see in your Grattan reports, and it can get very confusing indeed.

What you do need to look out for is any charges that are not in line with the rate card. For example there was a 20 day period in March (5th to 25th) where Evri's system went haywire and treated EVERY parcel as if it was 2-5kg, regardless of its actual weight and dimensions. I was charged £5.99 for every shipment in that period (and in one isolated case £11.99 for a 620g parcel), and was overcharged in total almost £150.

Amazon have taken no responsibility and told me to speak to Evri (even though when I use Amazon Buy Shipping I have no contractual relationship with Evri). It currently looks like I won't ever be seeing that £150 ever again.

Amazon basically say it is the Seller to claim from the courier (Evri/RM).

Evri are a pain, you have to keep nagging them, phone them, eventually, they may pay £20 as long as the item was 1st scanned. Usually £50 of time wasted to get £20 back is the issue.

You can ask Amazon not to issue any pre-paid return postage labels to Buyers (except for SFP).

Then you must issue a label yourself within 48 hours of each return request.

I would Tag a MOD, hopfully, they can resolve the defect agaunst you, as that should not be the case if not showing before the Appeal.

this case is still ongoing, despite talking 50+ amazon consultant no team has clue on how edits works on EU (when local language and translation languages are involved);

It should not be so difficult for amazon to help with basic text update

Case ID going in circles now is 12665379332 (every response from customer service is just proving that someone is playing hit and trial; but it should not be made so difficult for a seller)

Unable to edit EU listings auto-created from UK
by Seller_ukx1K9S8cM6lK
Amazon replied

Hi Amazon Community Managers,

@Seller_RSwABJNHpHnEZ@Seller_l7Jtck9jxnEA0@Seller_XUNeUuvrQDpgP@Seller_z3k8APxGfbQEK@Seller_xkwDczt8sPSmx@Seller_b91S9zQ2eKxLt@Seller_l3eCP9f1PtJXC@Seller_PIHyltK09pbl3

I'd appreciate your help resolving an issue that has dragged on for over two weeks across multiple Seller Support teams without resolution.

Background

I'm a Brand Owner selling via FBA UK with Remote Fulfilment to the EU (no FBM). When I first created my UK listings and sent stock to UK FBA, listings were automatically replicated to eligible EU marketplaces, with English copied from the UK listing and auto-translations generated for local languages. That part worked as expected.

The problem

A year later, I updated the text fields (title, bullets, description, keywords) on the UK listing. None of these changes cascaded to the EU marketplaces, even though I have never manually touched the EU listings.

What's happened so far

1. Ticket 12429186442 (UK Seller Support): I was told to contact each EU country's local Seller Support individually — contradicting previous guidance that UK Support handles this. Escalation declined to help further.

2. Ticket 12441793322 (DE Seller Support): After 10+ emails, I've received conflicting answers:

  • Initially told to edit the listing myself, then told listings cannot be updated after initial setup.
  • Told the German auto-translation from the UK English is poor quality, but that their team cannot edit it. I was asked to provide corrected values in Excel, which I did — only to be told nothing can be done.
  • Told I could use inventory file upload for both languages, then told this wouldn't work either.
  • Separately, when a customer on Amazon.de toggles the language to English, the listing still shows the oldEnglish text that was never refreshed from the updated UK listing.

What I need

Two straightforward answers:

1. How do I edit the local-language text on an EU listing that was auto-created from my UK listing?

  • Correcting poor auto-translations
  • Adding local-language text where no translation was generated

2. How do I update the English text shown on EU marketplaces via the language toggle, so it reflects the current UK listing?

Editing a listing is basic functionality and shouldn't require separate tickets in every marketplace. Could someone please take ownership of this and provide a clear, definitive answer?

Kind Regards

Selling application not being reviewed
by Seller_qYRQV5s4QoToM

Case ID: 12766271502

My selling application keeps being declined. I’ve uploaded 10 seperate invoices consisting of 100 units in total. It seems the automatic checker overlooks when there’s more than one invoice. Can an actual human please review my case manually as I have reached all requirements.

So i have got another violation.....whats new right. Im sick of these violations from pain in my bottom customers who scam the system and worse competitors. I will have loads of sellers on here that will agree with me .

I find a listing, submit a request with what they want, 10 units of ferrari badges and DING i can now sell a ferrari. Ive been penalised on products that have been just that and would thing 80% of sellers do the same then source products in that brand.

Ive had inventory that has been flagged (By robbing customers or competitors) resolved the claim by removing it because what amazon wants is not enough, only to get penalised in the future.

I import my stock from china make sure they have certification and provide what amazon needs but if they can except it not biggy, we move on.

So here are the asins im assuming are listing ive tried to list on because there is randoms ones out there that are not supposed to be there WINK WINK:

B00JAMLFHQ, WHICH IS MALSON MARGLELA. A clear version of Maison Margiela perfume brand but someone has found a loop hole and so right is selling on it.

Ive also been flagged for a ASIN B00GJVSWQS which is dog treats????? yes dog treats. This category is automatically excepted to sell without invoice etc.

Other Asin are previous flagged and i resolved it by removing lising as AMAZON wont except documentation which is fair enough.

Its like having a ex wife/husband you part ways only to relaise they bring up old stuff not to recover and heal lol.

I have got one asin (another air quote customer complaint) on Coco Chanel with loads of sellers and also mystery listings too WINK WINK. I provided what they want to list with invoice of 10 units and DING im in. I Sourced my product with legit documentation and still not enough!

I will do some digging to give me piece of mind that ive done what i can and if it gets deactivated...... it gets deactivated.

Amazon is the hardest plaform to sell on and the most stress if your trying to run a business. My advice is dont sell on this platform. Policys are to tight and too many loop holes to get you removed. If you have a brand/white label (like i now have) then maybe sell on here because alot of eyes in one place gives you alot of visability.

Its not the end of the world and i dont personally care. I find it dissapointing that Amazon continues to punish legit business owners.

Oh also before i go they are holding my funds ransom for 60+ days .

Enjoy selling on this platform folks because its going to be a bumpy ride.

Requesting help with two-step verification issues
by Seller_2xIgF1OlJINC3
Amazon replied

Hello to forum members and community managers,

My seller account is active and free of any policy violations, yet I am unable to access Seller Central.

I have been locked out of Seller Central for 50 days due to issues with "Two-Step Verification."

The "Upload Documents" button is missing from the "Seller Central Login Help" page, and the "Didn't receive the verification code?" option does not appear at the bottom of the login page. The only available option is "Try another way," which leads directly to "Contact Customer Support." I have contacted support multiple times via both email and phone.

I have submitted countless cases using the "Help Us" feature on the "Seller Central Login Help" page, but the issue remains unresolved.

Recently, I noticed two things: 1. Many of the email replies I received appear to have had their original content manually altered or overwritten. 2. For some cases, I have already sent a reply, yet the support team continues to ask for a response; it seems my replies are being blocked and not reaching them.

Could forum members and community managers please analyze this situation and offer some assistance?

Thank you all for your support and help.

Does 'media' mean BMVD ?

Books, in particular often have titles (created, presumably by Amazon) that have loads of added words that are simply advert/puff pieces.

Take these current titles from the top five bestsellers list. They are basically one/two word titles with 14+ words of promotion added:

The Divorce: The BRAND NEW & Instant Sunday Times Bestselling Thriller from the Author of The Housemaid Books

ISBN-10 ‏ : ‎ 1464280193

Yesteryear: The Sunday Times Number One Bestseller – ‘Everyone will be talking about it’ Bella Mackie

ISBN-10 ‏ : ‎ 0008742766

I'm guessing these will be immune from AI editing...?

Bring Back Amazon Lending
by Seller_vdjmMZ26n0fRu

You are right. I have been selling on Amazon for the last 12 years. Previously, I used Amazon Lending, but after another lender took over, I took 3–4 loans from them. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.

I operate on a wholesale business model and, after all expenses, my profit margin is usually only around 10–12%. However, the lender charges extremely high rates, effectively costing more than 20%, which makes it very difficult to make a reasonable profit.

What I found most frustrating was the constant pressure. If sales drop, the account is suspended, or any other business issue arises, they immediately start calling and demanding repayments. No matter how much you try to explain the situation, they do not seem willing to listen. The repayment amounts are fixed, and the weekly instalments must be paid regardless of your business performance.

I am also not satisfied with their Plaid system, as it keeps picking up the wrong bank account details, which has resulted in loan applications being rejected.

Amazon Lending was much easier and more seller-friendly. Because of my experience with this lender, I have decided not to take any further loans from them. In my opinion, they are far too expensive and put unnecessary pressure on sellers, whether the business is large or small.

Methinks you have missed the point and lost the plot along the way with the corporate response.

The OP has stated that Amazons fulfilment fees are higher than the price that they expect them to sell at, thus making an instant loss.

It does not take a mathematician to work out that that is not good business, nor logic being used by the very artificial intelligence that Amazon stands behind and swears by.

£2.57 sale price. minus £2.70 fulfilment fees = 13p instant loss, PLUS cost price of the goods, plus shipping costs to Amazon.

What Amazon fails to comprehend, is the bots are probably scraping at manufacturer/distributor price points and using them as retail price.

Or the old trick of sell at a low price and make your money on the high postage cost, which Amazon obviously does not take into consideration.

You can advertise an item for a penny but charge £20 postage, but Amazon only sees the penny as the reference.
