System Error whilst trying to refund
by Seller_WIFV02H2XUFgS

Hi @Seller_IQo80d99W2DzP

I do see that the team in charge replied to you on case ID 12185704982.

"Please note that some sellers experienced system errors between 27 February 1100 GMT and 28 February 0400 GMT. If you encountered this issue during that specific timeframe, the problem has since been resolved and you should now be able to process refunds normally."

I do recommend you follow up in the case above.

Christine

DD+7 ERROR!!!!!
by Seller_wGk2Bz5SS9O4z

Please everyone contact the Small Business Commisioner to complain. We need action against this unfair policy, their lack of communication regarding the start date and force the government to start regulating the marketplaces. The contact form is easy to fill in on their website.

Yes thats a very good point! because RM has new fields you need to fill in am wondering that its not sending the Data back to Amazon correctly. This only occurred from the 1st of July so makes sense, just hope they can fix it quickly as its a massive problem.

Top right on Seller Central, it'll say 'Help'. Click that then 'Get help & resources' then fill out the information from there.

Have prepared the specific images you want changing to and the ASIN, SKU.

That AbeBooks comparison is interesting.

It makes me wonder whether the missing piece is not another forced catalogue, but a cleaner search/index layer.

Would it be practical for used booksellers to own their own lightweight website — with full control over book descriptions, photos, condition notes, pricing, payment, and customer service — while a separate index service helps make those catalogues searchable?

In other words, the seller keeps control of the actual shop, and the index only helps buyers find the right book across multiple independent sellers.

I am not sure how practical that would be for booksellers day to day, especially with time, stock upload, and website maintenance. But given how damaged the central catalogue has become, I wonder whether seller-owned catalogue data plus a shared search layer would be more resilient than trying to keep fixing corrupted ASINs.
