Account suspended for Sales Rank, Competitor, and Search and Browse violation
Hi, can some please check my POA and see if its okay to submit
Why did this happen?
We have taken measures because you have manipulated your sales and violated one or more of the “Misuse of Ratings, Feedback, or Reviews,” “Misuse of Sales Rank,” and “Misuse of Search and Browse” policies. Please review Amazon’s policy regarding our Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/200386250 12). As a result, you may no longer sell on Amazon through this account.
How do I reactivate my account?
To reactivate your seller account, please send a plan of action that explains:
– The root cause(s) of the Sales Rank, Competitor, and Search and Browse violation.
– The actions you have taken to resolve the policy violation.
– The steps you have taken to prevent this violation in the future.
Hi , I have made this POA after investigating the whole issue , reading all policies , i would really appreciate if this can be checked by account health team and fellow sellers ,
Dear Amazon Team,
First of all I would like to thank you for taking time to look in to my request .
- The root cause of the issue
Description of the issues that caused these policy violations
- We have identified the root cause of these policy violations, without our knowledge large number of suspicious orders has been placed by unknown buyers for asins( A - B - C- D ) and then cancelled by them .
- We have reported this issue to seller support and informed them that we did not made all these orders or cancelled them and we have been advised by seller support that all the orders were cancelled due to the Amazon security system as these orders were placed from the accounts of buyers which were inspected by Amazon which had a suspicious activity. The seller support case ids are 6110603042 , 6112235262 , 6147100062
- We did not take appropriate actions to stop these suspicious orders and we failed to follow up with amazon in timely manner to avoid these violations.
- Some of our items were listed in incorrect categories and sub categories.
- We have used the Amazon selling website in an unreasonable way by regularly searching our listings and checking competitors prices.
- We failed to respond to the performance notifications and policy warnings which we received from amazon.
- The actions you have taken to resolve the issue
I take full responsibility for all these issues and made the following changes to ensure our selling activities are now aligned with amazon’s policies and ensure that similar complaints won’t happen again.
- I have checked my entire inventory and deleted all those affected listings and removed all the items from my inventory which caused these violations and were related to suspicious orders .
- I have inspected all my stock and checked all my other listings to make sure that all other items are listed in right categories and does not contain prohibited content.
- I have read and understood all Amazon`s policies including Prohibited seller activities and actions, Misuse of Sales Rank and Misuse of Search and Browse, Product Detail Page policy , Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct
- I have trained all my staff to read all Amazon`s policies and check every single item before listing and sending it out to customer.
- I have briefed all my staff to not to use Amazon website repeatedly so it dont affect other sellers to easily access and use the service
- The steps you have taken to prevent the issue going forward
- I will report all suspicious activity related to abnormal amount of cancelled orders in timely manner to Amazon
- In future each individual item will be listed in correct category and will not include prohibited content.
- In future we will regularly review our Cancelled and Pending orders to monitor for any signs of fraudulent activity to any of our product listings or sales.
- One member of staff will check the quality and safety of the items and will pass to listing creator wo will then recheck , read amazon policies and then list on amazon.
- Full Training will be given to all the staff about Amazon`s policies , rules and prohibited seller activities on a regular basis.
- We will read all performance notifications and respond straightaway.

Duplicate thread, I have just replied on your other one. It really does waste sellers time when you create two threads
Seller_vMsxjZPrdu6uI
Yes I do see what you and @Anglozone mean. Perhaps one of the moderators can take a view.
OP, have a look at what I posted on the original thread in the meantime and see if any other sellers can offer any further advice. Good luck

This is @Kevanden reply on the original post
Just had a quick look but here’s some thoughts
sk_onlinedeals:
We did not take appropriate actions to stop these suspicious orders and we failed to follow up with amazon in timely manner to avoid these violations.
Why not?
sk_onlinedeals:
Some of our items were listed in incorrect categories and sub categories.
Why
sk_onlinedeals:
We have used the Amazon selling website in an unreasonable way by regularly searching our listings and checking competitors prices.
Perhaps here, explain a bit more about how you misused it and what your overall intention was/what you were trying to achieve and why that was wrong
sk_onlinedeals:
We failed to respond to the performance notifications and policy warnings which we received from amazon
Why?
sk_onlinedeals:
I have read and understood all Amazon`s policies including Prohibited seller activities and actions, Misuse of Sales Rank and Misuse of Search and Browse, Product Detail Page policy , Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct
Perhaps add a link to what you have read?. I gather Amazon likes to see this, but could be corrected
You have numbered the headings ie root cause, I think it would look more presentable if you highlighted the headings and underlined them rather than number them
As I say, it’s just a quick look and some thoughts, perhaps other sellers can help a bit further

This is my suggestion for the Root Cause, based on what you have said
Root Cause
- Without our knowledge, a large number of suspicious orders have been placed by buyers, unknown to us, for ASIN’s… and then cancelled by them. We categorically had no involvement in the placing of these orders or the cancellations.
- We reported these incidents via SS, (put case ID’s) and were informed that all the orders were cancelled due to the Amazon security system as these orders were placed from the accounts of buyers which were inspected by Amazon which had a suspicious activity.
- A number of our products (list the ASIN’s) were iallocated to incorrect categories and sub categories. We were not the creator of the listings in question, but offered our products against them. We failed however, to check that the listings were correctly created before we added to them. This was oversight on our behalf, having been too eager to increase our product lines without paying due diligence
Then…what does this mean, because because you say that you reported them?
- We did not take appropriate actions to stop these suspicious orders and we failed to follow up with amazon in timely manner to avoid these violations.
I think you should leave this out…but thats just my view…see what the other think
- We have used the Amazon selling website in an unreasonable way by regularly searching our listings and checking competitors prices.
Again, what exactly do you mean by this
- We failed to respond to the performance notifications and policy warnings which we received from amazon.
Please do not take this the wrong way, but if there is anything that you are leaving out because you know it was wrong, please say. It can be included but if you leave it out I suspect Amazon will find out in the end.

So, when did you open the case logs mentioned in your appeal, before or after this notification. Surely if it was after, then you have responded…in a way
Seller_Wqg5EgqxuOwDD
What exactly did you think you could do? I mean I assume these just came through as usual orders unless you are saying there was some flag you failed to act uopn?
Assuming that’s a no, you need to delete this from your POA as it’s total nonsense.
Seller_0jIRgA1za0eKw
hello,
any more suggestion on this POA before i submit my appeal.
Seller_vMsxjZPrdu6uI
Okay.
Post it all again once you have amended it. Please, do yourself a favour and make sure everything is grammatically correct, no spelling mistakes

The difficulty is trying to second guess what Amazon mean when they want you to address the issue of ‘misuse of the search and browse’
Your assuming OP that this is due to the products In the wrong category. In the absence of anything else it could be, or it could be that what they want you to address is just worded badly and there is no ‘misuse of search and browse’
I really don;t know what else to say, except re submit it, consider what Isabella has said, if it doesnt come back as quick next time then hopefully someone human may be reading it
Edit
You have the option, as Isabella has said of only dealing with suspicious orders/cancellations and leave everything else out. See what that produces
