Account Verification - Ridiculous documents needed

OK - So Amazon are demanding I verify my identity details again - citing its a legal requirement (strange how no other marketplace I trade on requires it to be done so often)

List of accepted documents given. One says ‘a letter from HMRC showing business tax registration’

So I send them a copy of my Self Assessment Tax Calculation - a letter from HMRC dated December 2022

It includes my name, address, UTR number. These all match my account. It is issued by HMRC - but apparently its not enough proof.

They would accept a letter from HMRC asking me to do a Self Assessment - but it seems not the letter verifying I have done it and what taxes I have to pay! You really cant make this up.

I no longer have the letter asking me to do a self assessment - after all my last one was sent to me April 2022 and was binned as I do all my tax online. Now they wont disburse me until I have verified my identity.

they never seem to accept these, you have to call HMRC and ask for a UTR confirmation letter to be sent by post
that will be accepted
