Account verification

Dear Amazon Sellers,

I hope somebody can help us with the following:

On July 2nd 2020 we opened a seller account and up until this day we’re unable to get it verified (nevertheless they keep charging our creditcard).

We are based in The Netherlands and we applied to sell in the UK market.

Our company has been in business since 2003 in The Netherlands (not on Amazon).

I have contacted the verification team numerous times, and repeatedly sent the requested documents, but unfortunately to no avail.

They keep asking us for the same documents over and over again.

We have supplied everything that has been asked for (to our knowledge) and we do not understand why it’s not approved.

Questions about clarification are not answered, so at this point we’re at a loss…

I will give you a summary of the state of affairs:

  1. July 2nd 2020 we opened a seller account under (NAME OF OPERATING COMPANY )

  2. On 17/7 they ask me for an organizational chart ===> i provide this the same day

  3. on 20/7 they ask me again for the organizational chart because the previous document had no date and the structure of the parent companies was apparently unclear ==> i make a new outline of the organizational chart, where i clarify the parent companies and I add the date + signature

  4. on 20/7 they ask me again for the for the organizational chart because the documents provided do not show parent companies ??===> I provide them for the 3rd time with an organizational chart showing the parent companies

  5. on 21/7 they ask me for a copy of the registration extract ( KvK uittreksel= extract from chamber of commerce) ) for NAME OF HOLDING COMPANY (holding co.) + the company’s notarized Statutes + for the primary contact person (which would be me) and they ask for proof of adress in the form of a utility bill ==> i provide them with all 3 requested documents.

  6. on 25/5 they ask me for a shareholder document and

  7. they want a document confirming the name change for OPERATING COMPANY …? > **I email them back saying that there has been no name change for **OPERATING COMPANY

I also clarify that the shareholder documents can be found in the public records from the Dutch Chambers of Commerce (KvK) , copies of these i already provided several times.

I also send them the links to the public records of the kvK where they can verify that the information i provided is up-to date and correct (i also attached copies in the email)

On 26/7/2020 they ask me for the following information:

  1. confirm residential address address ==> i email them back that this question is confusing to me, I ask them which adress they want confirmed? My personal adress or the adress of the company?==> I don’t get an answer to this question

  2. they ask me to change the business scope in the registration extract to be align with the items i wish to sell on amazon ===> this is new but I understand, so I change the scope and send them a new registration extract that states ‘amongst others; "Retail sale via internet"

  3. they ask me to explain the discreapancy between the trading address on the registration extract and the one on the proof of address iprovided for the business ===> I email them back that this question is confusing to me, which adress is different? the adress on the registration extract matches the proof of address (electricity bill + phonebill) I send earlier….

On august 3rd 2020 I get another email asking me for the same information:

  1. they ask me again to confirm my residential address address ===> I email them back on august 3th + 4th confirming that what my my personal residential adress is ( i also included a proof for this adress)

  2. they ask me again to change the business scope in the registration extract to be align with the items you wish to sell on amazon ===> I email them back on august 3rd and 4th and enclose this document for the 2nd and 3rd time, now in English. The business scope of the registration extract has been updated and says: "Retail sale via internet; SBI-codes: 47911 through 47919 (meaning different sorts of items, all specified in the business scope)

  3. they ask me again to explain the discrepancy between the trading address on the registration extract and the one on the proof of address i provided for the business**===> I email them back again saying that The registered business address on the KVK attached to my email matches the address in the electricity bill and phone bill supplied, there is no discrepancy**

  4. they ask me again for a copy of the registered company and holding company’s most recent share allotment document (Aandeelhoudersregister )==> I attached this again to the email on august 3rd + august 4th.

On august 8th 2020 I get another email (this time from verkoper-verificatie-review@amazon.nl asking me for the same information:

On august 9th 2020 I answer the same questions again

15.They say that the Rabobank statement and Eneco bill i provided for the primary contact person, did not confirm the same residential address.
– They ask me to confirm which address is my residential/personal address ==> I answered that the Eneco bill is proof of address for the business, and again state and confirm my personal residential address .

  1. They say that my current business scopes (SBI codes) are not suitable for Selling on Amazon.
    – Please change or add an additional business scope with the Kamer van Koophandel to be in line with the items you wish to sell on amazon. Then please upload a new Register Extract or Inzien Uittreksel to Seller Central showing the updated business scope. ===> I already updated the business scope and have send an updated Register Extract on: 29-07-2020 , 03-08-2020 + 04-08-2020.
    via email as requested. But now I also uploaded this register extract via seller central as requested

17 They say there is a discrepancy between the business address that is confirmed in the Inzien Uittreksel for the registered business, and the business address that appears on the Rioolheffing document i provided.
– Please confirm the current physical trading address of the business, and which address is the correct one. ==> i explain that reason for this is because our business has several addresses, the Rioolheffing document is our customer service address. I confirm our official registered office and also physical trading address and confirm that this is the correct address, i’ve provided proof of address that matches the business/KVK registration extract

On august 10th 2020 I get another email (this time from seller-verification-review@amazon.co.uk asking me again for the same information:

18- they ask me again to confirm residential address address of the beneficial owner ==> I answer again confirming my residential address.

19- They ask me for a copy of the company’s statutes confirming the business name changed, ===> I reply that there has been no name change for the Operating company

20- explain the discrepancy between the trading address on the KVK registration extract and the one on the proof of address you provided for the business (aangiftebiljet rioolheffing gebruik 2019) ==> I explain again that the reason for this is because our business has several addresses, the Rioolheffing document is our customer service address. I confirm our official registered office and also physical trading address and state that this is the correct address i provide proof of adress that matches the business/KVK registration extract.

  1. They ask me again for a copy of the registered company and holding company’s most recent share allotment document (Aandeelhoudersregister )===> I send now for the 4th time the share allotment document

As you can see we’ve been emailing back and forth and to my knowledge i’ve provided everything they asked for multiple times, but somehow our account still has not been approved…

I already send an email to: managingdirector@amazon.co.uk on august 6th with everything above, but no answer.

Can somebody please help us and tell us what needs to be done to get this sorted?

I am experiencing the same issues, very frustrating!
If anyone can offer nay help I would also be very grateful, very annoying that they still take you monthly fees even though you cant get the verification authorised.
