Adding my new brand name to my pre-existing listing
Hi all.
I have recently been approved for brand registry and am now trying to add my Brand Name to the listing, but I am getting the following message, which I don’t understand:
“The value ‘Lileth Home’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value ‘Generic’ for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN ‘B0BKZV3CVX’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).”
The ASIN is the same as the listing.
This seems to suggest to me that I can only have a generic brand on this listing. I’m really hoping this isn’t the case as I already have a shipment, via FBA, on it’s way for this listing - and for another listing which I also need to brand up.
Hope you can help. Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Jon

Is this a new listing or are you trying to change the brand name on a current listing ?
If the latter, you aren’t able to change brand names
You need to create a new listing

The listing has never had stock, so it is a new listing as such.
I have been following the guidelines from Jungle Scout and they said I could create the listing, and even sell, and the register for BR later on and update the listing.

On my other listing which, to my knowledge, I created identically, the brand name field is locked. Do you know why there would be a difference?

Turns out that seller support will change the brand name for me. Thanks for your assistance.
