Amazon constantly measuring items incorrectly
Has anybody else had ongoing issues with Amazon incorrectly measuring items?
Our last two products that have gone into FBA have been grossly overmeasured, the first instance we were overcharged our FBA fee by £5000 as a result.
The most recent example was a product which we had replenished, so Amazon already had the measurements, but they have somehow measured it as almost twice the size and five times heavier.
The other issue is that we have a storage limit and these incorrect measurements mean we have incorrectly exceeded our storage limit so we cannot create new shipments until Amazon has remeasured and rectified the problem.

We have had this problem. Not so much dimensions, but weight. The best was an item weighing 500g, and they entered it as 50KG!

I’ve been having this problem for over few months now and it’s not getting anywhere… I’ve tried sending an email with all the mistake measurements and weight, which they only come back with a few (still wrong measurements) so I decided to separate items individually and yet it’s still wrong!
Think I’ve sent around 10 logs per item with no luck in correcting them. I’ve even sent photos of dimensions and images of item on the scale but they still somehow manage to measure triple the size and weight!
Plus 1 or 2 items then manage to correct which I’ve already sold over 100, they are asking me to give them all the order numbers to reimburse back! It’s a mistake they did, why do I have to do all the hard work? and they don’t refund the VAT which means I’m still being overcharged right now and knowing I won’t get the 20% VAT back because Amazon’s lack of knowledge in measurement and scaling an item!

I had this issue for a while. It seems they mix up their decimals a lot.
Go through to the automatic help section, request a cubiscan and a case will automatically be created for you for the ASIN. A few days later, it should all be resolved and you’ll be refunded for any overcharges within the last 90 days.

Please someone help! I have 2 ASINS, both exactly the same dimensions (both square 28x28cm), only one is thicker than the other. The problem is that they are in cloth bags, so if the bag is picked up roughly without care, the items inside can slide together making the thickness change, although the square 28cm should never change. Amazon have measured 13 times, every time is different to the time before and every time the ASINS are completely different to each other and every time the numbers are never square! I sent photographs of the ASINS with and without their cloth bag; then Amazon sent me photographic evidence of their scanner which was measuring the table as well as my product! When I complained they then measured by hand but are still way off, the tape measures the loose fabric - if you were measuring a dress, you wouldn’t stretch the dress to see how much space it takes! They are not measuring properly. Who can you complain to when the normal process is not working?
