Amazon Messaging System
I have noticed the changes Amazon have made with the messages system. However, since September/October all the messages I have sent to customers I believe they haven’t received them or they have disregarded them.
To explain this further, I now don’t have the option to select under messages such as refund. Therefore, I have to select other and then refund. After the message has been sent the subject title appears as “update for order”.
This subject title is also used for requesting feedback. This change is not working or effective as mentioned above since September customers are either not receiving these messages or not opening them.
Why give sellers the option to filter the message down to refunds and feedback if this is not displayed in the subject line?
Prior to this change I would always get a response from buyers regarding refunds and feedback.
Has anyone else noticed a lack of response from sending customers messages since this change?

I have noticed a change too.
I always use the “Additional information Required” option, but even with this lately I have had an amazingly low level of response, which made me wonder if they were indeed all received.
I wonder if it may also depend on the browser we use, but now when I click on the name link, I get a pop up message that says:
“A popup blocker blocked the Contact Buyer page from opening initially. Click the button below to open the Contact Buyer page.” + “Contact Buyer”.
I click on that, and then on “Other”.
Then on “Additional information Required” in that menu.
There was a similarly-named option in the system before that and I’ve assumed that it was just the same, but it used to work very well while now I get no response.
I usually ask for feedback this way, so maybe it’s also that times are changing - buyers maybe from the younger generation, and using phone texting only, rather than emails & computers…
I believe for example that many people experience difficulties (or impossibility) leaving feedback on a phone - they need to “fire up the computer this coming weekend” as one of them put it…
I wish Amazon was making provisions for the changing ways of communicating, such as phone/texting versus emails.
