Maximum allowable quantity limits for dangerous goods

Amazon sets a maximum allowable quantity limit for dangerous goods in fulfilment centres, according to the established regulatory framework for each facility. These limits help to ensure the health and safety of fulfilment centre employees and compliance with local regulations.

Dangerous goods are categorised into hazard types, for example, flammable liquids or toxic substances. Each of these hazard types has a defined maximum allowable quantity limit in each fulfilment centre.

When you create a shipment, if a dangerous goods SKU exceeds the maximum allowable quantity limit at the selected fulfilment centre, you’ll see an error message. To resolve the error message, follow these steps:

  1. Reduce the quantity of the SKU or remove the SKU. If you reduce the quantity, it might be necessary to repeat this step until the quantity is below the fulfilment centre’s limit.
  2. Create a new shipment for any dangerous goods that you were unable to include in your shipment in the previous step. Creating a new shipment will identify if those items can be shipped to an alternative fulfilment centre that is under its limit.
  3. For any items that you were unable to include in the previous two steps, please create a shipment at a later date. The dangerous goods inventory at each fulfilment centre changes regularly, and when inventory falls below the quantity limit, you’ll be able to create a shipment.

…If I was new to FBA, with this new workflow, I would definitely be doing a U-turn and seek others means of expansion…
Its looking like I’m stuck, they want me to remove 11/13 SKU’s…of which I have assessed the SKU’s which they classed as “Hazardous” and again, its wrong, it is classing non-hazardous as hazardous for 10/11 SKU’s
…Can anyone help?

I think its this new “capacity limit” shoddy policy which is causing this, the capacity monitor is saying that I have “0” for dangerous goods which previous to the capacity limit policy, I had more than enough…Let’s say they did impose a limit on dangerous goods, Amazon’s shoddy STA workflow is classing non-dangerous goods as dangerous goods …Combined together with the shoddy workflow…this is a nightmare!..
PLEASE AMAZON IF YOU ARE READING THIS…JUST MAKE SENDING INTO AMAZON EASY AGAIN !

I REALLY recommend investing in software that enables you to bypass amazons new send to amazon workflow. I’ve rarely used Amazon’s in house solution to send stock.
