AVALARA Is it a good option?
I currently have VAT registration only in UK.
I want to expand to other UE markets,
What do you think of AVALARA? Is it a good option?

Avalara are fine but partner with them via Amazon and not directly because it is a lot cheaper. It also simplifies the process because Amazon automatically calculates any VAT owed on orders through their sales platform. All you then do is add any relevant transactions you made outside of Amazon on a separate spreadsheet (there is a template) and upload it.
You then get the amount you owe automatically calculated for you.
You should be able to sign up by selecting the VAT option from the ‘Reports’ menu.
Once signed up, they will also obtain a European EORI number for you free of charge, which you’ll need to move goods to warehouses in the Eu.

Stay away from them.
I switched from SimplyVAT, to save costs. SimplyVAT is transparent and there is super communication.
I thought, well Avalara partners with Amazon, what can go wrong? But then, after switching, it took months to change my monthly to quarterly VAT filings. Ending up with the German authorities knocking on my door. I filed the first quarter of 2019 on my own.
Now I will take a break in selling via Amazon and came to the realization that the German TAX authorities have not received my Yealy VAT filings for 2019 and 2020. I have all filed this on my own.
There is also no communication or information when I wanted to stop their “services”.
Please pay for a good service, it costs a lot, but it is needed, and don’t make that mistake I did! It costed me lot’s more in workhours, research and communication with authoirities.
