Brand Registry paused for seller verification

Hi

I hope you are all well.

This is a new account without sales as yet, I am awaiting delivery of an FBA shipment.

I have started the Brand Registry process but, before I could get very (a case ID wasn’t even created) far, Amazon “paused” the application because they said I wasn’t verified. Here is the exact wording:

“We have temporarily paused your enrollment application in Brand Registry since we have identified that you are associated with one or more selling accounts on Amazon as a primary owner and none of the accounts have successfully completed seller verification at this time. We will automatically resume the application process when one or more of the selling accounts complete verification successfully. In some cases, we may ask you to provide additional information and documents before our team is able to review the application.”

As far as I was aware I was already verified. So I contacted seller support. They told me to check my notifications, but there was nothing in there. They told me that it may be because I needed to verify my credit card details, so I did that but no change.

I was then advised it may be because I needed to verify my bank account. So I did that. Still no change.

I contacted them again and they said that I had definitely passed seller verification when I thought I had, it seemed that verification of my card/bank had nothing to do with it.

However, they then said that it may be because there is a higher level of verification required (KYC) when you get to €15K sales, and it may be that. I suggested that this is highly unlikely because there is nothing in Brand Registry that says you have to hit a certain amount of sales before you can apply. This was later confirmed by another seller support representative.

So, I am left not knowing why I cannot proceed with the BR application. Nobody at seller support seems to know why.

I have an onboarding account manager too, but he doesn’t seem to know anything either. He just says he’s asked BR and is awaiting a response and they my application is being verified, but it’s clear that this isn’t the case.

In my opinion, there is something wrong with the verification process or the link to the BR process.

This is a new account for me but I have worked with Amazon for a long time and I know technical issues rarely get resolved for a seller.

I have had another Amazon account but I sold that business back in June this year and I removed myself from that account. I know that the new owners were verified as I helped them with it. Although it didn’t stop me from getting phone calls from Amazon lending, but that also stopped a while back.

I am hoping that someone has had experience of this before and can steer me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards, Jon

when you check in your account info, are you verified (Account Info - Account Status Valid), and do you have green tick by your bank information?

Anyway, thanks for your help guys. I’ve probably got to hope that they don’t connect the accounts. Nothing else I can do I guess.

Good morning everyone!

@ Lileth_Home_Limited I am sorry you are struggling with this process.

I will ask one of our favourite questions - did you contact Account Health Support or Seller Support regarding this issue?

Respectfully,

Julia.

I have a partial update. Out of the blue my brand registry application was replied to as if there was no seller verification issue.

There was a basic issue with it, that I can easily solve (the photo I was using as a place holder on my listings while building them out, that aren’t live yet, didn’t have my logo on - I thought I would provide pictures of the products during the application process - note to self, read about BR before applying!), and the case is available to copy or re-apply now.

This was not in answer to any of my support cases, it was as if there wasn’t an issue with seller verification at all and the case had just been waiting for someone to look at it.

However, I do need to apply again so I will update this thread if I run into the same issue, a different issue, or everything goes through fine.

I have also since read that the account will not show as green tick verified until the next level of KYC is passed, which is once €15K of disbursements have been withdrawn. It has also been confirmed, by Seller Support, that this isn’t necessary to apply for Brand Registry. So, who knows, maybe there IS a glitch in the BR process. Nobody’s perfect.

I do understand that none of this changes the fact that my account could get suspended at any time for being somehow linked to the old account of the business that I sold. Nevertheless, I don’t have a choice. I have to proceed in the hope that Amazon is OK with me having sold the business.

Hi @ Datsit_Skincare_Ltd,

Thank you for sharing information about your Trademark. Trademark UK00003627187 is a word mark and fully active and registered in the UK, indeed.

In some countries / regions “pending” status is also considered as acceptable. It refers to all types of trademark (word mark / logo mark).

Hope this helps!
Julia.

Please be alert on this forum.

I have received a suspicious email direct to my website/email based on this discussion. The way it was written I’m sure others have been approached as well, maybe in multiple forums. As I have no place to report suspicious emails on Amazon I can find I have decided to post up on here.

I googled the name used, linked to a business registered in (Country A) a few weeks ago, and a personal address in (Country B). A web link used on the official register is linked to a completely different company based in (Country C). I’m having nothing to do with it (if you are the person reading this, nice try!).

This is the first time I have had such a contact based on a forum, which when you think about it, all this information we post up is available to anyone who signs up.

Anyway, just a heads up.
